Chapter 7 She Will Never Let Ximena Go

After Damian and Ximena left with Vincent, the living room became very quiet. Caroline sat on the sofa in despair. When she thought of her dead children, her heart still broke.

She firmly believed that Ximena had something to do with the death of her children. So in the past five years, she had conducted countless investigations. But unfortunately, the doctor who helped her deliver had already disappeared.

Why could Ximena still continue to live so arrogantly? She wouldn't let Ximena go.

Meanwhile, Ximena was agitated inside the car.

She thought Caroline had died in the hospital. Never did she expect that Caroline was still alive. She felt so uneasy that she turned to Damian and said, "Damian, I'm sure Caroline's purpose is not that simple. It must not be a coincidence that she appeared and took Vincent away when we were about to get married. She must still have feelings for you, and she wants to ruin our wedding."

Damian ignored what she said. Instead, he asked, "Why did you scold Vincent? Why didn't you know that he ran out of home alone?"

When Ximena heard his questions, a trace of panic flashed across her face. She quickly said, "I scolded him because he didn't want to sleep. It was already very late. I didn't expect he would run out of home."

Then she turned to the back seat, looked at Vincent, and said, "Vincent, I didn't mean to scold you, okay? You must never do this again in the future. Your dad and I are so worried about you."

But Vincent just ignored her. He turned his head away and looked out of the window.

This made Ximena even angrier. Vincent had autism, and he had never spoken a word since he was a child. He was not close to anyone except for Damian. But last night, he went with Caroline, who was a total stranger to him. And he even defended Caroline just now.

Now Ximena couldn't help regretting that she didn't personally kill Caroline abroad at that time.

She turned to Damian again, put on a sad expression, and said hesitantly, "Damian, I'm sorry. I am too sensitive. After all, you and Caroline... I'm just afraid of losing you and our children."

Damian pursed his thin lips and said, "The wedding will be held as scheduled. You don't need to overthink."

Ximena smiled happily. "By the way, I heard that Serenity Design has opened a branch in Adephia. How about I ask Callie to design a wedding dress for me?"

Serenity Design was a high-end foreign design company, and the CEO was Callie, a top designer. This brand was established three years ago, and it became popular all over the world.

"As long as you like it," Damian replied indifferently.

Three days later, Caroline returned to the Harper family's house. The next day, she woke up early.

Wilma looked at her with concern and asked, "Caroline, why don't you sleep a little longer? You wake up too early."

"Mom, I have to work today," she replied.

"What? You've only been here for a few days. Why do you have to work so soon? Now I regret that I handed over the company to you. You seem to be working really hard. Actually, you don't need to do that because our Harper family can afford to support you. Why don't you just go shopping, get a facial, and attend parties like other young ladies?"

Wilma started to nag, and Caroline could only smile.

Caroline had a quick breakfast and went directly to Horizon Entertainment. It was a film and television company owned by the Harper Group. Wilma was the CEO of this company before, but she had handed it over to Caroline.

The employees of Horizon Entertainment were already informed that the young lady of the Harper family would take over the company from today, so all of them waited for Caroline downstairs.

Today, Caroline wore a white suit and delicate makeup, making her look noble and beautiful. As soon as she got out of the car, the assistant hurried forward to greet her. Her high heels made crisp sounds on the floor as she walked into the hall. Then a group of people said in unison, "Good morning, Miss Harper!"

"Hello, everyone! Starting today, I will be in charge of Horizon Entertainment. I am hoping for your full support and cooperation."
