Chapter 4 Damian And Ximena Are Getting Married

Caroline wanted to refuse, but Verena Mayson had already rushed into the restroom.

She looked at the chocolate in her hand, and she couldn't help smiling. But soon, her face darkened. She couldn't help but think of her two children who had passed away.

If her twins were still alive, they would be the same age as the little girl. Caroline sighed deeply, picked up her luggage, and immediately left.

The driver had been waiting outside for a long time. As soon as he saw her, he respectfully took her luggage and opened the car door for her.

At this moment, a black Maybach was also parked not far away. Verena said in surprise, "Dad, look! It's the beautiful woman I saw in the restroom just now."

Damian, in a black suit, sat beside her.

He paused for a moment, then looked in the direction where she was pointing. But what he saw was a car driving away.

On the way, Caroline was browsing online on her phone. Suddenly, a piece of news popped up. The news was about the Mayson Group. It was announced today that Damian would be marrying the young lady of the Shipley family a month from now.

Caroline froze. Memories of five years ago flashed in her mind, one after another. She couldn't help smiling bitterly. What a coincidence! They were getting married now that she had come back.

The car stopped at the gate of a villa in the suburb. The driver got out and took the luggage from the trunk. Then he said with a smile, "Miss Harper, your parents have been waiting for you for a long time."

Caroline nodded and walked into the villa. Wilma Harper and Derek Harper had been waiting in the living room. When they heard the noise outside, they immediately stood up.

"My precious daughter is finally back!" Wilma exclaimed. She walked up to Caroline with a smile and held Caroline in her arms.

Derek also smiled and said, "Caroline, how have you been? You've lost weight. Are you always tired?"

Derek and Wilma looked at Caroline dotingly, and she felt warm in her heart. "Dad, Mom, I miss you two so much."

Caroline grew up in an orphanage. It was only five years ago that she found out she was the lost daughter of the Harper family. It was also Derek and Wilma who saved her when she was almost dying in the emergency room.

In the past five years, Caroline had been basically abroad. And she only saw her parents a few times.

The family of three had a good time during dinner, chatting and laughing happily. After their meal, Caroline received a call from her best friend, Amanda Newman.

As soon as she answered her phone, Amanda's sad voice came from the other end of the line, "Caroline, I can't come to see you tonight."

"What's wrong?" Caroline asked, frowning slightly.

"Stanley lied to me. He said he was on a business trip, but I saw him at a hotel, holding a woman in his arms. That bastard is cheating on me. What should I do now?"

"Don't worry. Send me your location. I'll be right there."

After hanging up the phone, Caroline said goodbye to Wilma and left the villa in a hurry.

She drove all the way to the hotel entrance and called Amanda.

"Where are you?" she asked directly.

"I'm in Room 6079. I have to beat Stanley and his mistress today. But I'm afraid I'm no match for them, so come here quickly."

Caroline entered the hotel and went to the room Amanda mentioned. But when she got there, it was empty. Even Amanda was nowhere to be seen. Then she heard the sound of water coming from the bathroom.

Inside the bathroom, Damian was soaked in the bathtub, talking with someone on the phone.

"I have ordered a special service for you. I promise the woman is very beautiful. You will be satisfied."

"No need," he refused.

"Damian, I'm doing this for your own good. You are sick, and you need to be cured. Don't worry. I won't tell Ximena."

Outside the bathroom, Caroline looked around the room with a frown. She was about to call Amanda when the bathroom door suddenly opened. Then Damian stepped out, wearing a bathrobe. His hair was still dripping, and his handsome face was expressionless and cold.

When their eyes met, Caroline froze in place.
