Chapter 8 Simply ... take a few breaths.

Okay! Okay!

Relax Eva! Breathe normally. Inhale. Exhale. It's not like the end of the world will happen, is it? I want to clarify that it's school. Inhale. Exhale.

Put an end to any suicidal ideas you have. I'm sorry, but I won't be running. I am not a runner. Inhale. Exhale.

Oh, come on, who the heck am I trying to kid? This is a living torment! I have to get out of here before they start cutting me up and making a fool of me! I could feel my brain going into overdrive as it tried to develop all the many ways we might get out of this situation. At the same time, my eyes were darting all around the campus in search of the best escape route that required the least amount of butt-kicking.

However, the fact that there was only one escape route made the pain in my brain seem much worse. My attention was briefly drawn to the massive gate, which would be a challenge to circumvent. But there's a chance that I could......

"Evangeline! You-hoo!" The voice of that stupid blonde just added gasoline to the fire of my rage, which was becoming more intense by the second. My fingers began to tighten as I started thinking of all of the methods to get rid of her annoying self....a dumpster or maybe a lake could......

"(laughs) Oh, for goodness' sake, Eva! "Don't give me that face as if you're going to murder me and then toss me in a lake or a trash!" When I gazed at the devil's spawn that had lured me to this well-guarded place, I believed she might be able to read my thoughts. This caused my breathing to become labored.

I gave a strange chuckle as I took a step forward, a wicked grin on my lips as I grabbed her shirt with my left hand and supported her body with my right as I drew her very near me, her body practically rising inches off the ground. I let out a laugh as I went closer.

I leaned close to her ear and murmured, "Oh, but Mary, you have no concept of what things are going through my brain." And your high-pitched voice is like a bee buzzing in my ear, and you know the only way you can get rid of that buzz" I shook her a little more in the hopes that she would respond. I could feel her trembling slightly, which was her way of saying "no, I don't know the answer."

A moment ago, I thought I heard footsteps approaching us, but at this very moment, it wasn't one of my primary concerns.

I continued To which she graciously said, "You simply take the palm of your hand." But it didn't continue for long since I spoke the next portion in a sinister, extremely low, and menacing tone: "And slap that foolish bee, putting an end to its existence and ending that incessant buzzing." To put it another way, it's like trying to kill two birds with one stone. And just this moment, you happen to be that very obnoxious bee buzzing around in my ear.

I felt myself being yanked backward as Mary shakily tottered to her feet. At the same time, two guards who seemed to be huge and were dressed in full uniforms complete with flashlights and other equipment seized both of my forearms and held both of my wrists behind my back.

"Mama, how are you feeling? Are you okay?" The guard standing to my left as I talked saw his grip becoming tighter on me. I dipped my head down, and my blonde hair began to fall in a curtain-like fashion.

When I looked down, I saw two heels coming from the ground.

"Oh, you must be kidding, Frank!" Why in the world wouldn't I be? Eva and I were having a conversation here as she spoke about her difficulties in controlling her wrath. That horrible blonde's voice kept playing over and over in my head.

I wanted to take a knife to her neck and slit it so that she would be quiet once and for all.

It seemed like the gentleman on my left was the one who stated, "Well, we will accompany you and this anger management youngster anyplace you would like."

"Of course, all I have to do is inform Miss. Before we start our tour, Evie, I have one last question for you."

Breathe. Just think of a way to get out of this situation. Wait! Where exactly did Ethan go?

The very idea that these individuals would inflict harm on him caused my pulse rate to quicken. Something brushed across my right ear, and I thought I heard miss. Obnoxious discourse.

Oh, Evie! I couldn't stand it when she got my name incorrect! Hello, it's Eva! Get it right, Blondie! E-v-a! "You just made your day worse. Since it is my responsibility to familiarize you with the school, I will direct our trip to any location that I deem appropriate.

Get it together, Eva! Work your brains out! As if I were in one of those cartoons, it was as if a lightbulb suddenly went out in my mind. I just have to find Ethan and then escape from this horrible prison.

"Oh and Evie," Eva! Eva! Find the best solution! "You can't escape. We'll locate you."

That left me temporarily speechless and astonished. Not getting out? Will they track me down? Um...well, let me think about it...NOT!

"Stalker much," I remarked, straightening up so that I was facing her head-on. Even though I heard her laugh, I didn't think anything I said was humorous. I could easily report her to the authorities for stalking since it was a criminal offense.

"Well, let's begin" It all started with Mary, or blondie, because of her terrible voice (no offense to blondes).

We began making our way into the pit, which was filled with hell. Or in the language, I speak. The Bottom of Hell

I heard Blondie saying something, but I had no idea what she was talking about as I looked at our surroundings. This location surprised me by being quite hip. Everything was most likely made of stone and dark in hue, almost as if it had a granitish feel.

While we were walking, I gazed at the numerous opulent chandeliers and the various seats and side tables that were decorated with flowers.

Then we came to a halt in front of a door that seemed very dark and ornate? Oh my god! Most likely, it was their room with all of the dissecting equipment in it. I kept my composure as Brian devised a strategy. If I could only take out Blondie, Frank, and the guy on my left, I may have a chance of getting away.

"You are at the office of Mr. Flare. Your homeroom, since we were on your way to your dorm, I thought it would be a good idea for us to come in and say hello," she stated the last bit in a strange tone. Did she imagine that I would feel self-conscious with two security officers hanging onto my arms? Blondie, I'm sorry to break it up. That's not how things operate.

Then Mary opened the door, and whatever noises had been coming out of the room ceased as soon as the door was opened, and I could feel several sets of eyes on us as we stepped forward to the instructor.

"Hello Flare! I just had the idea that Miss Bowman and I should pay her homeroom instructor a surprise visit.

"Oh uh, hello?" Flare said as he continued to gaze intently into my pupils. He seemed to be OK. I immediately realized that I would much prefer to spend my time at school than with this dumb blonde.

Mary turned her attention back to me while pointing out Flare's extended hand. Her grin never left her face as she did so. I stared at his face, then his hand, then back at his face, then back at his hand, and finally, I turned my attention back to Mary.

I did not offer to shake anyone's hand. To begin, since I was unable to. The second reason is that I did not want to.

Mary seemed to be honest while saying, "Oh, I'm sorry, Flare, she's had a crazy couple of years," but the truth was that she wasn't sincere at all.

I coughed under my breath while rolling my eyes and said, "Stalker." I was distracted by the conversation in the class to my left, so I didn't bother to glance over there.

"Ahh! This child makes me laugh out loud. She spoke to Flare in a hushed tone. The guards' grip on my arms remained tight throughout the whole ordeal. And you can guarantee that she whispered so loudly that the entire class was able to hear her.

"I don't need to; you already seem to use enough crack (drugs) by yourself," I responded, maintaining a steady tone and allowing my words to flow forth as effortlessly as they do every time.

As Mary's blush became more noticeable and she made eye contact with Frank, the security guard standing to my right in front of the whole class, the entire class broke out laughing.

Then, as Frank continued to apply excessive pressure, I saw that my arm had begun to experience a great deal of pain.

After letting out a low, menacing growl that was audibly loud, I turned my head to stare at Frank, who returned my gaze blankly. When there was complete silence in the classroom, I looked across at Frank and saw something that made me lose my cool.

Because I was positioned in front of him, I made him trip backward, pulling me along with him and my little buddy, whom I call my hard right elbow. I corrected the situation by moving my right foot behind his left foot.

I was on top of him as he fell to the ground, and I drove my elbow firmly into his stomach while he was struggling to get his breath and screamed for the other guard to get me off of him. However, the second security guard already released go of my arm out of concern that he would fall on me as well.

This was a piece of cake. As I moved off him, I grabbed my left hand and swung it directly into his jaw, forcing him to yell out in agony. I then pushed myself away from him.

And was confronted directly by the other security guard. Also, I simply grabbed him by the shoulders and drove my knee into his happiest spot, which caused him to collapse to the ground. At the same time, I heard females gasping and cheering.

Mary let out a gasp and then retreated behind Flare. I glanced up at the class and sought for who knows what when my right hand was dragged behind me up towards my back. I had just finished brushing some stray hairs off of my face when I felt a strange sensation in the pit of my stomach.

Did they believe that anything like that would damage me?

I lurched to the left and put a headlock on my aggressor simultaneously.

I could feel the darkness inside me rising to the surface as my wolf pleaded with me to take Mary's life since she had attempted to injure me.

I was thinking to my wolf that it was about time you joined me.

When I saw Mary's face flush, I knew what needed to be done. I let go of her just as she was reaching for her neck.

I was on the verge of murdering her. She was an innocent blond who was really bothersome and drove me mad, yet she was innocent.

As I made my way back to the front of the room, as everyone else murmured, one item, in particular, drew my eye. A pair of dark brown eyes appeared, neither of which was muttering, laughing, or making any other sound. Just looking directly at me. Observing?

I hurried out of the room and into an elderly-appearing guy, so I couldn't really tell what had happened.

HE SHOOK HIS HEAD when I tried to apologize, which stopped me.

"Oh, you poor fool, somehow I'm betting that your name is Evangeline, is that right?"

"Ummm....yeah?" I responded even though I could feel tears welling up in my eyes, but I did not give in to the want to cry.

"Well, it seems like I'll have to show you the way to your room," I said. He inquired with friendliness.

I responded politely by saying, "Yes, please."

I was beginning to warm up to the elderly guy. He was very courteous, and he didn't have his security men hold me down. Just wait till he learns what I have been up to.
