Chapter 5 I can't have any of this (Contd...)

I got on my knees and grabbed up the dart gun, which had already loaded five darts. These troops have no training whatsoever. Even when I am at my most vulnerable, they cannot defeat me.

I took a good look at the weapon I was holding. While most wolves detested firearms, I couldn't get enough of shooting. They were simple to use and entertaining to play with when not used for murder.

I don't think I could ever murder someone with a gun, but Ethan and I have had plenty of practice while out here on the run.

I glanced up as the last two surviving troops let out a shout as they retreated to the furthest end of the limo. I saw that they were backing up.

I thought about whether or not I should toss all of these folks out by opening the door. However, I couldn't because the desert would devour those who hadn't had any training.

I pointed the revolver towards the two, instantly putting them end to their misery.

Straight easy, and simple as pie! When I stop to think about it, squeezing lemons is not the easiest thing in the world, but...... I gave my head a shake to get my thoughts organized.

I believe that every single one of them is out, right? So why was I lacking in contentment?

Then I realized, smacking a palm on my head and chuckling! How very foolish of me! Someone stupid is at the wheel of this nice but idiotic Hummer.

After reversing course, I moved in the direction of the wall, which I was able to identify as the entrance to the front of the house.

I gave the door a gentle push to gently open it while pointing the pistol at the driver, an army person dressed in the same camouflage clothing as the other passengers, except Bob.

Bob was an elegant man.

He spun back and yelled, "Hey, you're not allowed to be in here!" He peered into the rearview mirror. His eyes widened as he did so.

"No $hit, novice. If there is a door in the way of your rearview mirror, you may as well not bother having one. I mulled it over while nonchalantly aiming the revolver at him.

Regarding the rearview mirror, he gave me no response even though he seemed to share my confusion.

I didn't waste any time and let the pistol discharge; shortly afterward, he became unconscious.

I swiftly shoved him off the vehicle, took the steering wheel into my own hands, and pressed both feet down on the gas pedal.

I should have known that this would be ridiculously simple. There has to be a gimmick or two involved with it.

They were aware of my capabilities, but they transported me in a limousine rather than securing me in a metal restraint.

It's a safe bet that the other men will eventually track me down, so I may as well enjoy myself before I'm dragged back into the underworld.

The road was perfectly straight, and the surrounding area was truly beginning to take on the appearance of a forest. Oh, it's time for the drag race!

I made swirls by turning the wheel to the left, then to the right, then back to the left, which was fun but should never be attempted.

I couldn't help but laugh inappropriately, despite the gravity of the situation.

After that, I continued in a straight direction since I was curious about the car's top speed.

As the vehicle slowed to a speed of 92 miles per hour, a large shadow came into view. I am a fantastic driver, so when I saw whatever was on the road ahead, I applied the brakes and drove to the left to avoid colliding with it.

I was startled when I felt my head suddenly strike the window, which resulted in the window breaking and glass flying everywhere.

After then, there was a loud sound of something smashing.

My mind was unable to understand the remainder of what was happening, but it told me, "Eva, you must continue without me; I cannot make it through this existence anymore."

There was flying glass. My body was twitching. There was an oncoming forest.

I had successfully crashed into the woods, but it didn't seem like a very successful accident since I was waiting for the engine to explode to get out of there, all dramatic.

I climbed out of the driver's seat as soon as the limo came to a complete stop, and I rubbed my forehead.

It felt like something was hurting on my head, and my fingers were bloodied and had fragments of glass embedded in them. I noticed that my eyesight was becoming a little blurry, and a severe headache had started to develop.

That Hummer was a piece of trash and not suitable for NASCAR.

I was in so much agony that I felt like I was intoxicated, so I walked through the door as soon as I could to check if Ethan was okay. I discovered him dozing off quietly with glass strewn all over his body and wounds.

Wow! It's no surprise my awakening caught those folks off guard. I grabbed him and, in the process, nearly lost my balance due to the headache and the dark spots that were appearing in my eyesight.

Great! I'm going to become blind now!

I slung his arm over my shoulder and gripped him about the waist while pushing the busted vehicle door and guiding him carefully onto the paved road in the middle of the woodland in one piece.

When I looked around, I saw that a large tree had caused a collision on the side of the vehicle. That puts an end to plan A, which attempted to get the Hummer to start operating again.

Move on to option B when I have it in my head.

When I lifted my head from Ethan to gaze in front of me, I may have been fooled into thinking that there were around five rows of soldiers armed with rifles lined up in front of us if my eyesight hadn't been so impaired.

$hit.

My recent head injury was causing my eyesight to become more blurry and impaired.

I could feel more blood dripping down the side of my face as it continued to do so.

The moment I turned around, Ethan was no longer at my side. My reflexes and motor abilities were more sluggish than usual.

After making a complete round, I found myself just a few meters away from Fry, the soldier who had caught up with me in the jungle.

He gazed at me, staring more like it.

"You, young girl, are in significant danger right now. You were responsible for the accident of one of our most costly modes of transportation, and I believe you will discover...," I placed one hand to my forehead and the other in front of me in a halting stance, which brought an immediate end to our conversation.

I finally managed to open my eyes, but the excruciating headache was growing worse. The addition of his high-pitched voice only served to make matters worse. I had just been in an accident when this person started talking to me about the company's financial situation.

"Don't you dare raise your.....," He started making my headache worse, and I could feel the world around me becoming dimmer.

That was the last straw, "Listen, Fry! You did something to my wolf, so I just drove a Hummer limo into a tree because of you, wounding both myself and Ethan, and maybe also your guys. I just woke up, so I just took out all of your men in a vehicle when I woke up. You did something to my wolf. It makes no difference to me how much money you have. You were well aware of the consequences of your actions before you carried them out. You put me in a vehicle with troops who haven't had any training, and you want me not to drive the friggin Hummer?

Your high-pitched voice is simply adding to the agony, so if you don't mind, SHUT THE HELL UP! I have a vast headache thumping the inside of my skull like a horny rabbit, and your voice is making it worse, so if you don't mind, SHUT THE HELL UP!

I stared at his face, which was the color of cherry red.

I was being pulled back by hands, but I couldn't tell who was doing it because, at that exact moment, I passed out and fell unconscious in the safety of those hands.
