Chapter 3 THE SLAP

¶ MARINA ¶

I am the only child of my parents. My father and my mother divorced a few months after my birth and despite this, they get along very well to offer me a good education. But of the two, I really like my father because he is more adorable than my mother and it is with him that I live. It's a chance for me to have him by my side because he does everything possible to give me what I want. My father is not the type of person to have friends but he approached Carlos PASOLINI only so that I would marry Pablo. And if I want to marry Pablo, it's not for his fortune or for the wealth of his family, but simply because I really love him. Last night should be an opportunity for Pablo and me to get closer to each other. Unfortunately, he didn't have my time and it made me nervous. However, my father advised me to visit Pablo at the office today in order to have a chat with him. Maybe when I'm alone in front of him, we could manage to talk to each other. I agreed because it was a good idea. Anyway, if I couldn't seduce him, I would do everything possible to get pregnant with him.

Indeed, I leave my bed and I go to the shower to take a bath. Then I make myself beautiful and I leave the house. After an hour's drive, I arrive at this magnificent airline run by Pablo. It is so vast and very beautiful. The employees of this company are very dynamic. We really see that it is a rigorous and efficient man who is the boss here. I enter the elevator which takes me to the floor where Pablo's office is located. A few seconds later, I arrive at my destination and I get out of this elevator then I go to Pablo's secretary.

« Hello miss. Is the boss there? » I asked the secretary.

« Yes Miss Marina. Monsieur Pablo is there. » answered the secretary.

Everyone knew me in this company and so I no longer needed to introduce myself. I often came here with my father to speak with Carlos PASOLINI. I finally arrive in front of Pablo's office and I knock on the door before enter.

« Yes, please come inside. » said Pablo.

I enter his office with respect and I was smiling.

« Hello Pablo. »

« Hello Marina. » he replied in astonishment.

« I hope you are well and that I am not disturbing you.» I asked

« What do you want Marina? » he answered violently.

After his reaction, I remained silent for a few seconds. This question he had just asked hurt me a lot.

« Stop being selfish Pablo. I came to see you as a friend and instead of welcoming me, you talk to me vulgarly. Are you talking to me like this? Did you look at me well? I'm sorry to come to see you. » I said.

After my words, I leave his office with tears in my eyes. If I had known that Pablo was going to behave with me in this way, I would prefer never to come and see him. It's the first time we've been alone and face to face. Instead of taking advantage of this to get to know each other better, he downright ridiculed me. This is the first time in my life that a man has done such a thing to me. This action he had just done, made me nervous. Even better, it made me think.

« Should I give up on him? Am I ready to suffer all these humiliations for him? »

I was asking myself too many questions when suddenly I come across Carlos Pasolini the Pablo's father.

« Wow my darling ! To what do I owe the honor of your visit to our company ? » asked Carlos PASOLINI

« Hello Mr. Carlos PASOLINI. » I answered with difficulty.

Carlos PASOLINI immediately saw that I was crying.

« But what is happening to you my dear? » he suddenly asked.

« I prefer not to say anything sir. » I answered.

« You walk out of my son's office in tears. I can already guess what happened. Pablo must have done something wrong to you and I'd rather not know. Nevertheless, I beg you. Forgive my son. He's a moron who doesn't know what he's doing. » said Carlos PASOLINI.

« Don't worry Mr. PASOLINI. I'll calm down in a moment.» I answered.

We chatted for a few minutes and he consoled me. Then I went to my car and the driver took me home.

¶ CARLOS PASOLINI ¶

« How many times am I going to tell Pablo to be nice to MARINA? Yet he is no longer a kid » I said aloud.

I wondered until I walked into Pablo's office. As soon as he sees me, he greets me and I answer him violently.

« Tell me what's wrong Pablo. Are you a child? Why is it so difficult for you to accept my decisions and apply them? You're starting to tire me son » I said.

« I think you talk to me that way because of Marina. You have surely met her and I don't know what she told you, but I don't want to talk to her. That's all. I understand your decisions but also respect my choice.» he answered.

« Who are you to talk to me like that? » I asked

« You are my father and I am your son. I refuse to be a puppet. And by the way, I'm sorry to have to end this conversation Dad. I have work to do. » Said Pablo.

After his statement, I approached him and slapped him.

« Never talk to me that way again. Did you understand me? Stupid. » I added.
