Chapter 9 COINCIDENCE

Hannah took off her glasses as soon as they finally arrived at Sydney's airport. It had been five years since she left this place, the place where she was born and the place where she got married and separated from the billionaire's son.

"Andrew Yang. We've already arrived in Sydney," Hannah said, talking to Andrew on her phone.

"I'm glad to hear that. Take care of yourself and the baby. Have a nice day. Enjoy. Let's talk later," Andrew replied on the other line.

"You too. We miss you," she hung up and took a breath, feeling the essence of being back in her hometown.

"Mom, is this your place?" asked Baby Ikini. She smiled proudly before responding.

"Yes, this is Mom's place where she was born. Let's go. Grandma and Grandpa are waiting outside. And tomorrow, we're going to buy our new house,"

"I wish Andrew Yang could come," Baby Ikini said.

"He will come. Got it? Let's go then," Hannah replied.

"I got it, Mommy."

As they arrived back home, the memories of her ex-husband flashed back in Hannah's mind. Those sweet memories of the time she was courted by Jake for almost five years. Until their relationship turned sour. She shook her head to erase those memories. She said goodbye to the pain of the past. She didn't have to go back anymore. Everything was worthless and useless. If she were asked if she wanted to go back to her past, her answer would be a big 'no.' Why should she go back to a time filled with pain and loneliness?

The next morning, she went alone to Samantha's modeling company to buy their new house. She left her son with her parents for safety. As she reached the floor for merchandisers, she overheard their conversation about various modeling houses and lots.

"The president's best friend is coming to buy a house from us today. Make sure to behave and treat her nicely. Otherwise, the president will fire you. Make sure she is satisfied with her choice and purchase. Understand?" the guy announced before he left to go back to his office. Samantha's secretary.

"Yes, Sir,"

"What does Hannah look like? Isn't she pretty?" asked one girl.

"Who knows? I haven't seen her before either. Let's go," replied the other girl, looking strict in the way she talked and stared.

"Hello. Good day. Excuse me, Ms. Can you please tell me about the floor plan? I'm planning to buy a house," asked Hannah, and she was assisted by the girl who looked innocent but charming.

"Hello. Sure, ma'am," she replied. And destiny can be deceiving. Lily also came to buy a new house for her niece, and she was assisted by the strict girl.

"I'm planning to buy a house. Can you show me the floor plan, please?" she asked. Meanwhile, Hannah's assistant started introducing her to the floor plan.

"This is our newest house. Like here and here. This one is the best and most valuable house located in Northern Beaches, Palm Beaches. It's priced at just over 3 million dollars. This house has only two floors, with two bedrooms on each floor. However, every room has its own artificial lights. This house also has a swimming pool, free parking area, and a large space for planting flowers. And this one, it costs 2.5 million dollars. "I will buy that last one," said Hannah, surprising her assistant.

However, Lily wanted to order the last one that Hannah had ordered. She was about to touch it when Lily stopped her.

"Hey, girl. Get your dirty hands on that floor plan? I'm going to buy the last one. I'll pay right now," said Lily, surprising Hannah and even the assistants.

"Excuse me, but I'm the one who picked it first," said Hannah.

"You may have picked it first, but I'm the one who will pay in advance. That's mine. Step aside," said Lily sarcastically, leaving Hannah disappointed.

"Hey, is that Mr. Jake's ex-wife?" said the strict girl.

"What? Mr. Jake's ex-wife? So, you're his ex-wife? Tsk. You can't afford this one, girl. I'm the one who will pay and take it," said Lily.

"Then buy it. I can afford that one," said Hannah.

"Hey, newbie. Let my customer buy it. Let's switch positions," said the strict girl.

"No, she can't. My best friend will have it,"

Everyone was shocked. It was Samantha, their president. "You can't buy that one, but you can choose others to buy. And you, get out. You'll be fired. I don't like your attitude," said Samantha to the strict girl. Hannah felt relieved and successfully bought the house. The girl begged, but the guards escorted her outside. Lily also left.

"That's Lily Dopler. She's your ex-husband's fiancée. Daughter of Ruth Dopler, CEO of Grand Hotel," said Samantha, surprising Hannah.

"That was his fiancée? Lily Dopler? He really lost his mind to have that girl. She's so sarcastic," said Hannah.

"They're planning to marry soon. You've moved on?"

"Yes, I have. I've already moved on. Thanks to you, you came. If not, I think we'd be fighting and rolling on the ground right now. By the way, I'm going to buy the last one. I'm impressed with her performance," said Hannah, pointing to the girl who assisted her.

"Me? Thank you so much, ma'am," said the girl.

"Your effort is highly appreciated," Samantha was happy for both of them. It had been years since they had seen each other.
