Chapter 5 FORTUNATE

Hannah was overjoyed when she found out that she was pregnant after consulting with the doctor. She blinked her eyes several times and shook her head to make sure that her pregnancy test wasn't playing tricks on her. It's really true.

"Oh my gosh. It's not a lie. It's true. I'm pregnant," said Hannah happily. She even covered her mouth, unable to believe it.

"Congratulations, Mrs. Hannah Montana. You are one month pregnant," said the doctor, extending his hand to Hannah.

"Thank you," replied Hannah.

"Make sure to eat nutritious foods and

avoid vigorous activities. They could affect your baby," the doctor advised.

"I got it, Doctor Wim. I'll be a great mom," replied Hannah.

Hannah left the hospital with joy in her heart. She even held onto the notes, the results of her pregnancy test. Her happiness was priceless. As she headed home, she called her parents through video chat. She was going to tell them the truth.

"How are you doing today? You look so happy. It seems like you're really enjoying yourself there," said her mom.

"Are you satisfied with your new life there? If not, just come home. We'll take care of you," said her dad. Hannah was touched by her dad's words.

"Your efforts and love mean so much to me, Mom and Dad. However, I'm doing great here on Lover's Island. I'm enjoying this new chapter of my life. And I have some exciting news to share," said Hannah. Both of her parents were confused.

"Why? Have you found someone new? That's great, then," asked her mom.

"No, Mom. This news is not just exciting, it's life-changing," replied Hannah, her parents looked confused. They didn't know if their child was telling the truth or playing a prank on them.

"What do you mean by 'lucky'? Can you please explain it to us? We want to understand what kind of luck you've had today," complained her dad. Her mom looked concerned, holding her neck. Hannah slowly showed the pregnancy test on camera.

"This is the 'lucky' I received today, Mom and Dad. I'm happy to tell you that I'm one month pregnant. Soon, I'm going to be a mother," said Hannah, with tears in her eyes. Both of her parents were stunned by the news.

"You're pregnant? We didn't expect that," said her mom.

"Who's the father? Is Jake the father of your baby?" asked her dad, showing no emotion. Hannah nodded.

"Jake is the father of my baby. He's the only person I've been with," replied Hannah.

"What are you planning to do? Are you going to tell him the truth that you have a baby and he's the father? This will make things complicated, Hannah. There's a possibility that he might run away and leave you to raise the baby alone," said her dad.

"Telling him the truth will create a conflict, Hannah. Your dad is right. Since you two are now separated, he might still have the option to walk away," added her mom. Hannah sighed, but she had already made her decision.

"I'm not going to tell him the truth, Mom. I will keep it a secret. I will be the one to take care of and raise the baby. I won't let that happen," said Hannah.

"But what if he finds out that he has a baby with you? What will you do then? Will you tell him the truth and give him the baby?" asked her dad.

"And what if he's planning to come back and rebuild a new relationship with you again? What would you do?" asked her mom.

"He's the one who said it's over, Mom. It's pointless for me to rebuild a relationship with him," replied Hannah. Both of her parents looked at each other and agreed on how to handle the situation.

"Okay, keep it a secret. We're here to support you," said her mom.

"Thank you so much, Mom and Dad. I promise to be a good mother," Hannah assured.

However, Jake had no idea that he had a baby with his ex-wife, Hannah. It was nighttime, and he was busy partying at a bar, drinking his favorite wine. As he was about to pay, he realized he had left his wallet at the hotel where he was staying.

"You seem to be in trouble. Don't worry, I'll pay for it," said the girl sitting next to him. The girl was pretty, but no one could compare to Hannah's innocent appearance in his mind.

"Seems like you're my lucky charm for today," said Jake. The girl smiled widely.

"It's a pleasure to hear that. I'm Lily Dopler. I'm originally from Sydney, but I came here for a long vacation with my grandparents. And what about you?" asked Lily.

"Hello, we're the same. I'm also from Sydney, and I came here for a one-year vacation to start a new chapter in my life," replied Jake. They both looked at each other and smiled.

"So, this is our lucky moment, getting to know each other? Nice to meet you, Lily Dopler."

"It's nice to meet you too.."

"Jake Montana."

"Oh, Jake Montana." And they shook hands with sweet smiles on their faces. Lily gave her calling card afterwards.

"Here's my calling card. You can call me anytime if you have any trouble. I'll come to help you," said Lily.

"Thank you for helping me pay. I'll call you anytime," said Jake.

"I gotta go. See you. Bye," said Lily as she left.

Jake brushed his hair afterwards. He kept Lily's calling card in his pocket and drove home. As he sat on his bed, he took out Lily's calling card and took a look. He truly believes that Lily might be his lucky charm and the beginning of his new life. He placed the tarot card close to his heart as he lay down on his bed and closed his eyes.

"I promise to keep you as my lucky charm, my Lily Dopler," Jake said, sweetly.
