Chapter 7 BIOLOGICAL

When the nine months of Hannah's pregnancy came to an end, she finally gave birth. Both of her parents were overjoyed when the doctor said the baby was healthy. Finally, they had a grandson, and Hannah was now a mother to her first son. They had been waiting outside the emergency room for an hour before they could finally see Hannah and the baby. But one thing was certain, Baby Ikini looked just like his father, from head to toe. He nailed it.

"He looks like his father," said Hannah, although she was happy for the baby.

Both her mom and dad looked at each other after seeing the baby. Jake would easily realize and recognize that this baby is mine if he sees him. And not only that, he would count the days that something happened between him and Hannah before they got divorced. Her mom swallowed the nervousness she had in her chest.

"He looks like his father. Classy," said his dad, but the emotion in his eyes couldn't be explained. And Hannah understood it. Her dad hated Jake for leaving his daughter.

"No matter what, you must keep it a secret," said her mom.

"Don't worry, Mom, Dad. We didn't sign any custody agreement in the contract since we both didn't know that I wasn't carrying our baby," explained Hannah. But her parents couldn't be sure about that, because everything would become more complicated if Jake found out that he had a baby.

Andrew Yang didn't know what was happening when he didn't see Hannah's family around as he returned to the hotel after going to the grocery store. He kept ringing Hannah's doorbell multiple times, but no one came to see him outside. Hannah had forgotten to tell him that she had changed the password. He called Hannah, but her phone was turned off. Eventually, he was found by the landlady.

"Are you looking for Hannah and her parents?" asked the landlady.

"Yes, I am. Do you know where they are? There's no one inside their room. I don't know where they went this afternoon," replied Jake. The landlady then told him the truth.

"Yes, I do. Hannah is giving birth today."

"What? She's giving birth now? I didn't know that."

"Go now. Maybe she's waiting for you to come," said the landlady.

"Thank you for giving me the information. I have to go," said Andrew, rushing to his car to get to the hospital. Hannah felt proud when Andrew Yang visited her. He even gave her a bouquet of flowers. They were getting closer to each other, and Hannah's parents saw it as a romantic gesture.

"Thank you," said Hannah after accepting the bouquet of flowers.

"Does he look like his father? He looks classy," asked Andrew. Hannah nodded. He felt a mixture of pity and happiness seeing Hannah and her baby doing well. As soon as Hannah finally got home, Andrew would visit her regularly to check on her and the baby. He was such a sweet and kind guy.

"I have to admit, you're so sweet and kind, type of guy. And why shouldn't have a girlfriend? That way, you can experience love and learn how to handle conflicts in a relationship. You're already 28 years old," said Hannah. Andrew started to feel nervous after hearing those words.

"I don't think I need to find that girl because I've already found her," replied Andrew. This confused Hannah.

"You already like someone? Who? That's interesting," said Hannah.

"Yes, it is. She's the type of girl who always strives to pursue her dreams. I admire her, and I already like her," said Andrew. Hannah smiled widely and patted his shoulder.

"What if his father sees him?" asked Andrew.

"I will make sure his father doesn't see him. And if it happens that he is seen and recognized by his father, his father has no right to take Baby Ikini away. It's not part of the custody agreement we signed," replied Hannah. She slowly closed her eyes as she sat on her bed.

"I'm sorry. It's time for you to rest now. You have a newborn," Andrew apologized before leaving. Hannah found him silly. As soon as she was alone, she couldn't take her eyes off the baby. He was his biological father's son.

"I think your dad is happy with his new life. If he had known that I was pregnant with you at that time, I don't think he would have left me. But mommy has moved on. I don't need Jake Montana by my side anymore," said Hannah.

But not having a responsible father by their side will play a crucial role for her. There's a big possibility that the baby will ask her why he doesn't have a father, why he hasn't seen his father his whole life, and who his father is. It may also bring him loneliness and a desire to have a father by his side.

Hannah took the baby's birth certificate and looked at it. She even pointed with the tip of her finger at every letter of her baby's name, including her own as his biological mother. And when she pointed out her baby's biological father's name, she took a deep breath and gazed at her baby. She wasn't sure if her son could live without his father's love. She also thought that this might play a crucial role for her. But she was determined to keep it and raise the baby alone.

She made sure to keep the baby's birth certificate, which only she could find. She didn't put it in her closet, cabinet, or files. In fact, she kept it in her secret hiding place. She placed it in a 12-inch box and concealed it among her password-protected boxes, using a strong box for extra security. It was hidden at the back of her cabinet, ensuring the safety of the baby's biological birth certificate and smiled. Who would have guessed? The billionaire's ex-wife is intelligent.
