Chapter 4 Stay In The Same Room

Alfie's sudden burst of anger rendered all the servants beside him silent. None of them dared to even make a sound.

Elmer put down his fork and responded casually, "I see."

"You! Ahem... Ahem."

Elmer's nonchalant attitude only made Alfie angrier. He was so enraged by Elmer that he clutched his chest and started coughing.

"Are you okay?" Hilda handed Alfie a glass of water and glared coldly at Elmer. "Shut up. Don't say anything that will displease your grandfather," she told Elmer.

Leona patted Alfie's back to help him breathe more smoothly while trying to calm him down with a soothing voice, "Grandfather, don't be angry. Elmer treats me very well. In fact, he celebrated my birthday with me yesterday."

As she spoke, she shot a wink towards Elmer.

She did everything to coax Alfie. Her smile was gentle and sweet, and her dimples were showing.

After being married for one year, she had developed the skills of being a peacemaker for Elmer.

At this moment, Elmer was mesmerized by her smile.

He was like that for a long time. Then, he looked away and said to his grandfather, "That's right. I went back for the celebration."

"Forget it!" Alfie snapped as he waved his hand. "I'll go upstairs and have a rest."

Although his eyes were starting to look droopy, the way he stared at Elmer was still sharp. "It's so rare for Leona to come here," he said. "You two can stay the night here. Do you have any objection?"

Elmer nodded and didn't say anything else.

Then, with the help of a servant, Alfie headed upstairs.

Shortly after, Hilda wiped her mouth gracefully, stood up, and left as well.

Meanwhile, Leona followed Elmer to the room on the second floor. That was his room before he moved out.

Ever since they got married, Leona had been living in the East Lake Villa. She had never stayed the night in the old mansion.

When Leona saw the inside of the room, she noticed that its style had the same antique vibe that the old mansion had.

Even though the room was kept clean by the servants, it was obvious that no one had been living here for a long time. The air in the room was quite stale, which made Leona nose wrinkle.

It wasn't until Elmer came in that Leona smelled his familiar fragrance, which made her feel at ease immediately.

After closing the door, Elmer sat on the chair and stretched his long legs. Then, he waved at Leona.

"Come here," he said.

Under the dim light, a meaningful look gleamed in his eyes.

All of a sudden, a shiver ran down Leona's spine.

She felt something was going to happen.

"What are you going to do?" she said, her voice shaking.

"Didn't grandfather ask me to pay attention to you? Come and unbutton my shirt."

His voice sounded a bit lazy as he leaned against the back of the chair. His shirt was tucked inside his trousers, outlining his muscular waist. He looked sexy and relaxed at the same time, which was completely different from his normal cold vibe.

As Leona stared at him, she could feel her heart pound faster and faster. His very presence had charmed her so much.

She walked over and, one by one, undid the buttons of his shirt. For every button, a portion of his skin unraveled in front of her. It didn't take long for her to catch a glimpse of his abs.

Half of the buttons were still undone, and yet, Leona's face was already completely red.

She was now having difficulty breathing, as though the air around her had grown thin. Sweat was starting to form on her forehead as the temperature around her seemed to have increased.

While she continued to undo his buttons, her slender wrist was suddenly grabbed by a big hand.

"Do you still want to continue?" Elmer asked with a teasing tone. "Is my body so attractive?"

Following the direction of his gaze, Leona saw his well-built abdominal muscles. He had the perfect figure.

It wasn't until now that Leona snapped out of it. She pulled back her hand as though she had just been jolted by electricity. Her face had also turned into scarlet.

"No, no!" she cried as she shook her head.

Leona turned around and wanted to run away. However, she didn't expect that Elmer would grab her by the waist and wrap his arms around her.

"Are you saying that my body isn't attractive?" he teased once again.

He took her hand and forcibly positioned it around his neck.

His voice was low and hoarse. It was his normal tone, but there was something particularly charming with the way he spoke now.

As soon as she heard him speak, she felt as though a current coursed through her nerves, totally numbing her body.
