Chapter 4 What are you, Izabelle

POV

I would have strictly believed that I was dreaming or hallucinating if I hadn't opened my eyes and found myself locked in a cell,

I was worried sick about my parents. Weird thoughts keep coming to my mind and the sight that I saw in my home wasn't letting me relieve my mind. As if it was not enough that I kept hearing loud growls from my neighbor's cell. It seemed like wild animals have been locked in other cells.

' Where am I? Who brought me here? On the top of that, who saved me from that monster? And if someone really saved me then why did he lock me in a prison? Could it be that the sound coming from the next cell is that monster's voice? '

I thought as my head was spinning with headache, I couldn't think anything straight,

I was wondering how can I leave from there and a tall man appeared before my eyes, wearing a black jacket and a cold aura around him. His eyes were crystal brown while his skin was snowy white,

" Who are you? Why have you locked me here? Did.. Did you save me from that monster last night? " I bombarded him with many questions, however, he didn't reply any. He just walked close to me only to break the chain from my hands before commanding, " Let's go... Alpha wants to see you, "

"A.. Alpha? Who is this Alpha? Is.. Is he the one who saved me last night? If he saved me then why did he lock me here? Listen, I.. I'm very thankful to your Alpha for saving my life but I really am in hurry. I have to go find my parents. They are missing. Hello.. Are you hearing me? " I waved my hands before his eyes but he didn't react to any of my questions. Instead, he held my hands tightly before saying with dark eyes, " Alpha wants to see you, "

" Did.. Did you not hear what I said? I need to go find my parents, I don't have time for your Alpha. Can you please let me go? "

My requests went in vain as he didn't respond to my words, instead, he held my hands even tighter and started dragging me along the corridor. As I moved forward, my gaze fell on a man getting whipped in the next cell. He was a tall muscular man. He was groaning in pain while getting punished. I don't know what was in his eyes, maybe the same coldness that I felt last night that made me feel that he was the same person who was running after me. But, how could it be possible? The thing running after me was definitely not a man. I shook my head as I dare not think anything and followed the handsome man who freed me from the cell,

I was brought to a big hall, surrounded by a very cold aura around it as the walls were painted in black and almost all the decorations of the hall were dark enough to pass a chill down someone's spine.

After checking out the whole hall, my gaze fell on a figure sitting in the darkness as the person standing beside me reported to him, " Alpha, this is the girl, "

The person who was sitting on a chair amidst the darkness stood up as he walked ahead and a dim light fell on him, revealing his extraordinary figure that could even embarrass Greek Gods. I gulped observing his tall figure and square jawline, having thirsty lips and two big black eyes deeply staring at me,

Had he appeared in my college, girls would have gone crazy for him,

' Good Luck must have hit me harder in the morning that I'm getting to see two hot men on the same day, ' I thought,

I, who had been flattered after seeing the previous person's charm who brought me into this hall, didn't have words to describe this new man in words who was way more attractive than the first one,

' Izzy, what the hell are you thinking? Don't forget you have a lot of problems to deal with. You need to get away from here and look for your parents, ' I slapped myself in the mind for losing control over my heart. I had never been like this. I had never taken interest in any guys no matter how attractive they were, however, this time it was different. I just couldn't help but fall for

this man's charm as if he had done some kind of spell on me,

" Wh.. Who are you? " I asked hesitantly while he was staring at me with his deep eyes,

" What are you? " he asked instead,

"What kind of question is that? " I chuckled,

He walked closer to me, subconsciously, I began walking in backward direction until my hip hit the wall. I gulped as he leaned closer to my neck, making my heart beating wildly. My whole body got stiffened as I clutched his sleeves while he sniffed my neck. My chest started moving up and down as he wrapped his

hands around my waist and pulled me closer only to move his nose everywhere on my body. He then looked up into my eyes while teasingly moving his finger on my lips before saying, " You are indeed a human, "

If not human then what would I be?

He then stepped back as he asked with his deep magnetic voice, " What were you doing in Granger's house? How do you know them? How are you related to them? "

" I'm sorry, who? " I chuckled,

" Mr. And Mrs. Granger, how do you know them? " he asked, staring into my eyes,

" I don't know them, I have never heard their names before, " I didn't know about whom he was asking from me.

" THEN WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING WHEN OUR MEN VISITED THEIR HOME LAST NIGHT? "

The man who brought me here yelled angrily, making me freeze. I don't know if it was my hallucinations or I just heard his voice mixed up with someone's else voice. It sounded as if two people shouted at once, scaring the shit out of me. However, the question he asked me made me worried about something else. I then looked

into Alpha's eyes and asked with cold voice " What does he mean by our men? Is that mean those were your men who were running after me? What were your men doing in my home? Did you send them after my parents? Did they hurt my parents? What did you do to my parents, huh? Are they also in your prison? What did you

do to them? "

I didn't realize when I got so angry and grabbed his collar as I was yelling at him while looking straight into his eyes. After realizing how far I went and how deeply he was staring at me, I frowned as I immediately let go of his collar. I

glanced at the other man, he was glaring at me with ice-cold eyes. I then looked up to the one who was called Alpha, I swallowed my saliva guessing how many bones from my body would get broken if he just raises a hand over me.

However, he stared into my eyes before replying in a deep magnetic voice, " I didn't do anything to your parents. They are not killed by me, "

" Killed..? Wh.. What do you mean? My parents are missing, not dead, " I frowned,

He then shot a glance at the other person and he showed me two pictures while the Alpha asked, " Do you know them? "

"Of course, I know them. They are my parents, "

They both shot a glance at each other before asking, " Then why did you say you don't know Mr. and Mrs. Granger? They are Mr. and Mrs. Granger I was asking about, "

" What? No.. My parents' surname is Garfield, not Granger, "

"Maybe they were using fake names in Mundane world, " The one who brought me said excitedly and I was looking at them with confused eyes as I had no clue what was going here,

"You are their child, then did they tell you anything before? " Alpha asked,

"About what? "

"Something that sounded strange or superstitious? " he asked with his deep

magnetic voice,

"Never, " I replied, he thought for a while before shooting a glance all over my body as he asked, " What's your age? "

" I turned eighteen last night, "

" You turned eighteen last night? Did something happen? Something strange that's hard to understand? " he asked, looking excitedly at me,

" Yes, An earthquake hit my home, my parents suddenly go missing and all I see there was a big wolf man who was running after me and then I found myself locked in a prison? Does it sound normal to you? "

I don't know why but I saw a spark of disappointment in his eyes. I don't know what he wanted to listen from me but the other person interrupted, he was looking quite annoyed,

" Enough Damien, I told you she is a normal mundane girl. Don't get excited so easily, she is not her, "
