Chapter 8 What Do You Want Me to Say

Stacy slowly raised her head and saw the man clearly. She said in surprise, "Doctor Howard."

A group of people stood behind him. Stacy was even more surprised. "You, why are you here?"

Her younger brother had autism, which was examined by Ryan. They knew each other because of this.

Ryan smiled gently. Before he could say anything, the director of the hospital said, "Doctor Howard came to the hospital to give a lecture."

Ryan was a famous psychologist, especially specialized in treating autism.

"What about you? Why are you here? Are you uncomfortable?" Ryan asked.

Thinking of his mother's firm attitude, Stacy shuddered.

"Stacy!" Janet rushed over from the other side of the corridor with the check list in her hand. When she came back and heard from the nurse that Stacy had run away, Janet was shocked and shouted excitedly when she saw her.

Stacy pursed her lips, and she was about to cry. "Mom—"

Ryan said to the director, "You go back first. I have something to do."

"If Doctor Howard is busy now, we won't bother you anymore. I sincerely invite you to work here, I will try my best to satisfy you if you need anything."

Ryan said gently, "I will think about it."

"Auntie, what's the matter? Let's go outside. This is not a good place to talk." The hospital was crowded with people, so it was not suitable to talk here.

Janet also knew Ryan. When he treated her son, Doctor Howard had paid the cost for her when she couldn't get enough money.

Janet respected him very much.

As soon as they walked out of the hospital, Stacy knelt down in front of Janet. "Mom, please, Jasper is gone. Can I keep this baby?"

Ryan squatted down and comforted her. When he knew the girl, she was only a teenager, but she was very sensible. She took care of her brother and mother.

Stacy shook her head. "You're very kind, and I remember what you have done for me."

She would definitely pay pack in the future if she could.

Ryan helped her up. "Where do you live? I'll send you."

Stacy was worried about Janet, so she nodded and said her address.

When they arrived, Stacy opened the door and got off the car. Ryan asked her, "Will you go back in the future?"

It was not easy for her to come back.

When Stacy returned to her residence, she saw Janet sitting on a chair and wiping her tears. Her heart seemed to be torn apart.

Janet wiped her tears and did not look at her. "I'm fine. You can go back."

"Mom..."

"I didn't take good care of you." Janet wiped her tears again, she couldn't stop crying.

Stacy rushed over and hugged her. The mother and daughter hugged each other and cried, venting the pain in their heart.

After a long time, they finally calmed down. Stacy told Janet that she had a deal with Harry and told her not to worry about her.

Janet was shocked. How could she not be serious with the marriage?

After drinking the water, Stacy was ready to go back to the room to sleep. There was a sound of twisting the handle, then the door was open.

A tall figure stepped in, followed by a beauty behind him.

Stacy was stunned.

She had never expected that Harry would bring back the woman he liked late at night.

Rachel was also stunned when she saw her. "Isn't she the woman who was in the hospital that day?"

She raised her head and looked at Harry. His well-defined face was very cold.

Why was he angry that day?

"Does it have anything to do with this woman?"

Women were always sensitive. Harry's abnormality made Rachel take a defensive manner towards Stacy.

"Well, I'll go back to my room." Stacy didn't want to be an annoying third wheel.

"Wait." Harry looked at her with a deep gaze. She was wearing very conservative pajamas. The white hemline extended to her ankles, revealing her thin and white arms. She looked a little pure.

However, when he thought of what she had done, he felt disgusted. "Rachel is the only host here except me. Are you clear?"

Stacy felt that it was unnecessary for him to do so. She had never regarded herself as the host of this place. Why did he bother to stress it?

"I know. I'll go to bed." Stacy turned around and walked toward the room.

"Miss Morgan." Rachel looked at her and said, "I'm sorry."

Stacy was confused and looked at her in surprise.

There was a deep apology on her face. "Although you and Harry are engaged, I have known him before you did. If it weren't for you, I would be the one who married him today. We love each other, so—"

"So what?" Stacy felt that this woman was very strange.

She knew exactly who she was, and she didn't stand in their way.

Why did she say that?

"I just feel that you have married Harry, but he doesn't love you because of me. So I feel sorry for you."

"There's no need." Normally, shouldn't they avoid interfering with each other in this kind of awkward situation?

Did she do so to show her kindness in front of Harry?

Somehow, Stacy didn't like her very much.

Harry narrowed his eyes and stared at her. "What sort of attitude is that?"

Stacy pursed his lips. What's wrong with her attitude? She just wanted to spend this month peacefully and took back what belonged to her, and then she would leave.

It was very strange of this woman to talk about these things.

How should she answer it?

"What do you want me to say?" She didn't know what should she say to Rachel.
