Chapter 7 Kneel Down And Swear

Sheila winced from the pain and said with difficulty, "No..."

Winnie snorted and pressed her even harder. She looked at their similar reflections in the mirror and sneered.

Sheila struggled and flinched, but Winnie held her hair so tightly that her efforts were futile.

"From now on, you must wear those hideous glasses wherever you go. If I see you seduce Gerald again, I'll cut your pretty face."

Winnie kicked the back of Sheila's leg and added, "Kneel down and swear to it, or else I'll cut Ivan off."

Clenching her fists, Sheila endured the humiliation and caved in to Winnie's order.

She fell on her knees and knelt on the wet bathroom floor. "I swear I won't seduce Gerald."

Seeing this, Winnie smiled with satisfaction and left triumphantly.

A few days later, Sheila's scalds healed more or less. She picked up her banged-up phone and dialed Saul Larson, who worked as an agent.

"Where've you been? I've been trying to reach you."

"I'm sorry, Saul. I wasn't feeling well..."

"Hey, I keep telling you not to work so hard. Ivan's condition won't be solved if you get sick..."

Saul's sincere advice warmed Sheila's heart.

After all, very few people in this world cared about her.

With a smile, Sheila asked, "So why were you looking for me? Did you get me a job?"

After a slight pause, Saul hurriedly said, "Good thing you brought it up. I almost forgot it. Bella Cooper, the rising star, needs a stand-in tonight. You two have similar figures. It's a thousand dollars per hour. Do you want it?"

"Yes! Thank you, Saul."

"You're very welcome. I just feel bad whenever I see you work yourself to death for Ivan. Well, anyway, come here as soon as possible."

After saying goodbye, Saul hung up the phone and Sheila rushed to the set.

As soon as she arrived, Saul urged Sheila to change into her costume.

In the dressing room, the stylist handed Sheila two pieces of cloth that could barely cover her private parts. Only then did she realize that the job required her to wear a bikini.

But the rate was too good to give up. Thinking about the thousand dollars per hour, she gritted her teeth and changed into the bikini.

When Sheila showed up on set, she drew the attention of everyone in the area.

Her skin was delicate and dewy. Wearing a light green lace bikini, she looked even more alluring. Her long, wavy hair hung on her shoulders, and the mole at the corner of her eye added to her charm. She looked like a fairy from the forest, totally different from the ordinary-looking girl from earlier.

Being watched by so many pairs of eyes, Sheila felt a little nervous, but she managed to stay professional and shot all the scenes.

When she was done, Sheila sighed with relief and couldn't wait to get changed. However, as soon as she turned around, she saw a handsome man walking towards her.

Gerald?! What was he doing here?

Sheila wasn't wearing her glasses. Thinking about her promise to Winnie, she tried to stay away from the man, but she wasn't used to wearing high-heels. In her panic, she lost her balance and fell forward with a scream.

"Stand up."

The expected pain never came. Sheila cracked open one eye and found that Gerald was staring at her indifferently.

Realizing that she was in the man's arms, Sheila was about to stand up, but the man suddenly loosened his grip.

Sheila landed on the ground with a loud thud.

Sheila grimaced in pain but mumbled an apology to the man, intending to get out of here as soon as possible.

But before she could scurry off, Gerald stopped her. "Wait."
