Chapter 6 The Visitor

Maverick

I waited for Molly inside the car as I tried to catch up with work.

That little wench succeeded in delaying me and I'm still fuming..

I typed hurriedly on my laptop, I didn't plan going to the office today so I called my secretary to come carry the papers I have already worked on then bring in new documents.

My phone rang and i picked up hastily when i saw the caller.

🔊 Hey buddy, I heard as I place the phone on my ear

🔊Whats up man, I said in a low tone, I am still pissed

🔊Hey man, you really need to come out of your grumpiness huh, you sound like an old man, he teased

🔊Get the hell outta my phone parrot

🔊You could be a parrot too of you want to, I guess he must have winked after he said that.

🔊Save me the sermon and tell me why you called

I smirked though he didn't see me, I still did it, mehn who cares.

🔊Okay, I have both good news and bad news for you, he said, which should I tell you?

🔊Start with the bad news then, I said not really interested

🔊Really? You sure that's what you want? he asked

🔊Shut up, I blurted without thinking

Alex being Alex kept mute for close to three minutes, this guy must be playing with me.

🔊Hey, I called pissed already

But then I heard nothing, I can't believe this.

🔊 You can talk now punk, I said

🔊Hmf, finally, that was damn stressful man, he said sounding tired.

🔊Seriously dude? I said and I heard him laughing at the other end

🔊Whats the bad news, I've got work to do, I complained

🔊I'm back, he said and burst out laughing

Its sure a bad news for me, I can't believe this punk is back to disturb the hell out of me.

🔊What the hell dude, thought you will be there forever, I exclaimed and he burst out laughing.

I guess taunting me is more like the air he breathes

🔊Get your mind prepared man, I will be at your house before nightfall, came his stupid voice

🔊I don't want to see you close to my house, I said and quickly hung

I smiled slightly dropped the phone, Alex might be all noisy and taunts me a lot but I love having him around but I can't possibly tell him that.

I can't wait to tell him about that stupid wench earlier.

Thinking about her still annoys me.

You won't go Scott free for messing with me, not when i am still Maverick Benson, i thought smirking as I returned my attention to my laptop while waiting for Molly.

Molly

My God Molly! she exclaimed and I just giggled running away, this time she didn't chase after me.

I turned around to see her standing and staring, I guess she's hurt but I have chosen someone else, what can I do? I thought as I walked to the school garage.

I entered the front seat knowing Vrick is there already.

He looked at me and forced a smile then he continued with his work.

His face has always been like this since that incident but this time around I knew something was wrong.

Hey, did you get pissed by someone?

Do I need to kick someone's ass for my big bro, I asked smiling.

He closed his laptop and turned to me, a little smile appeared on his lips.

You don't have to kick asses for me Molly, big bro got this, he said ruffling my hair.

Then smile for you baby huh, i said pouting

You always like to win Molly, okay, he said and smiled.

I hugged him tightly, I know a lot is going through his mind, maybe I don't have the ability to make him smile permanently but I can at least be his smile temporarily.

Thats enough, let's get going, he said pulling out my hands and I obeyed knowing I already delayed him.

I ignited the car and started driving off the parking lot, then I turned to look at Jean but she was no longer there.

I sighed, I have always thought she was joking about her crush on Vrick, but from her reaction I guess it's not just a crush, if not she won't be looking gloomy after I told her that.

Mrs Brooklyn

I was busy reading the HNA newspaper, a woman was nabbed by the police for killing her husband and fleeing from her matrimonial home just two months after marriage.

I sighed in annoyance, she isn't smart at all to let herself get caught.

What a lousy failure, i thought as I turned to the next page, already bored with the news.

The door opened and I looked up to see Ciara walking in looking so happy.

What's making my princess look this Happy? I asked as she kissed my cheeks and sat beside me.

Its Maverick mom, I'm getting so close to his heart but by bit,she said beaming with smiles.

That's good my child, he will learn to love you okay, just give him a little more time.

I will speak with him on your behalf this time, I said Patting her back.

Really mom? You will do that for me? she asked excitement written on her face.

Anything for my princess, I said smiling.

You are the best mom in the world, thanks mom , she said happily.

Anything that makes you happy makes me happy, now go up and change, I said and she rushed upstairs.

I stared at her retreating figure smiling until I could not longer see her then I went back to the newspaper on my hands

We drove into the mansion and I was surprised to see an unfamiliar car parked in the garage.

Did mom buy a new car? I wondered as I got down

Since the security man has already gone back into his room i had to walk into the house to know who the hell it is.

Do you think mom got a new car? Molly asked the same question on my mind as she followed beside me.

I didn't respond as I was getting impatient.

I walked into the house as our both maids came and collected our bags.

Where is mom, I asked not minding who answers.

Ma'am went out Sir, she replied

If it isn't mom, then who is it? Molly said again as she stood beside me, her hands clutching her clothes.

Who owns the car outside then of it isn't mom? I asked this time with an icy tone.

Its... uhm, the maid stuttered

Are you testing my patience? I asked

No sir, He's at the gym, sorry, I told him not to.... I didn't let her finish as I cut her off.

Assemble everyone, You all will have to explain to me why you let a stranger into this house, not just that, you let him into my gym house? I growled not believing any of it.

Shut up and get out of my presence.

Go upstairs and wait for me, don't come down until I say go, I ordered Molly as she quickly rushed upstairs.

I walked straight to the gym house and pushed the door open only to be shocked to my ass.
