Chapter 5 Five

Samantha came to her place and sat down confused with the recent happenings. She gets worried about continuing this job with Daniel. She strangely feels he is more dangerous than she thought, and somewhere she gets disturbed with the thought that he won't let her work in peace. But this job is also necessary for her family, she needs income and can't let this job go just like that. Her mother's treatment is in queue, she has to arrange money for that. Finally for the sake of her family she decided to give a chance before she quit.

But she decided to not to give a chance if her self respect was questioned at any time.

Samantha ignored her confusions and tried to focus on her work. She called Emily and asked her to inform all the employees to assemble at the meeting hall exactly by 4' o clock. Emily agreed and did the same as she was informed to do so.

Samantha tried her best to focus on her work but her mind went back again and again to Daniel and her encounters with him. She gets frustrated with those thoughts and gets irked with Daniel. After a few moments she walked from her place to check the arrangements of today's meeting of Mr. Thomas with all the employees. Unfortunately this would be his last meeting too, Samantha gets sad thinking about him. She could clearly realise a ray of disappointment and pain in Mr. Thomas' eyes. Moreover, as a personal assistant she held herself personally responsible to give a most memorable and pleasant send-off to Mr.Thomas today evening. Samantha sent a message to Mr. Thomas and then she informed Emily and decided to go out to get a surprise gift for Mr. Thomas' farewell party.

" Emily, I have something important to do. I will go out and return within an hour. If Mr. Thomas asked about me, kindly let him know the same." Said Samantha and left the front desk to the elevator. Although her inner emotions were in turmoil she wanted to give something to Mr. Thomas for his support and guidance to her.

By the time she reached the lift and pressed the button to go down to the ground floor, suddenly a tall leg entered into the place. Samantha wasn't bothered about the person and continued to sink into her own world. She was searching for a way to handle Daniel, without any further headaches.

" What devious plan was running inside your small head, Ms. Samantha??" Asked Daniel with an evil smirk.

All of a sudden, hearing a dangerous familiar voice, Samantha's eyes raised up eventually to know the owner behind the voice. Next moment her face frowned and clearly depicted that she was unhappy and shocked to see him. Soon she regained her senses and realised his rude words about her. She clenched her teeth and her cheeks burnt red in anger. Even Though she pretended like she didn't care about his presence, she couldn't succeed in it completely. Daniel noticed her shock and at the way she hid it.

" I asked you something, Ms. Samantha??" Daniel questioned her in a deep voice by inching close towards her, his eyes fixed on her.

With this sudden proximity Samantha was taken back, consciously she moved away from him carefully. " I have my own plans Mr. Daniel, but I don't think it would be necessary for me to share with you" said Samantha mockingly.

Hearing her words Daniel's dark face was darkened even more, he clenched his fist angrily. He looked damn dangerous but Samantha looked at him fearlessly by pretending to be unaffected by his strong aura.

" Samantha, I'm warning you. Don't ever try to offend my actions or words, then you will regret it later " whispered Daniel near her ears. Samantha was startled by his behaviour, she gulped nervously. She keenly observed his face to know that he was not just threatening but also he looked like he was speaking the truth. By that time the elevator reached the ground floor and the door opened. Samantha took it as a good chance and left the place instantly. She moved a few steps away from him and turned back to look at him.

" Let's see " Samantha just speaks a few words and leaves the place without looking back. He looked surprised at her bold gesture even after his warning and then he walked away brushing her thoughts.

Samantha was walking on the road side while checking for a taxi to go to the nearby gift shop. Since it was odd timing she couldn't find any, Samantha gets worried that she needs to return to her office within an hour. She tried to book a taxi through her mobile app but that was also useless. The main road is a little far from here.

She gets annoyed and decides to walk to the nearby store. By that time she was about to get hit by a car behind her, Samantha got scared and looked at her back to see the person in the car to thrash him for scarring her. By that time the window glasses were opened, Samantha was stunned to see Daniel inside the car, she gritted her teeth and went near the car.

" What's wrong with you Mr. Daniel?? Why are you troubling me?? Stormed Samantha breathing heavily. Daniel looked at her casually, he shrugged his shoulders and asked, " Is this the way to welcome someone's help, Ms. Samantha?? Especially your new Boss's?? Mr. Thomas said you are so smart but I don't think so". Daniel looked at her mockingly, Samantha looked stunned and confused.

" Well, what do you mean?? I'm afraid that you want to help me?? " Asked Samantha by looking at him surprised.

Daniel smirked and said, " You won't find any taxi here at this odd time, since you will be my employee I just thought to help you by giving you a lift ". Samantha gets suspicious at Daniel's sudden kind gesture and expresses it in her face.

" Moreover Mr. Thomas said you are one among his most trusted loyal employees with a brain," said Daniel mockingly by twisting his lip. She lost her temper there and was determined to give back his taunts.

Samantha asked him, " Oh!! Really what a surprise?? You are so kind to me, this is unbelievable?? So now it's your turn, tell me what devious plan is running in your big head??" Samantha asked like an innocent person, even though she forgot that he will be her new boss very soon and she observed Daniel's face changes instantly, she was elated seeing that. Originally she did not intend to offend him but she couldn't tolerate him when he kept on humiliating her unreasonably.

" Samantha, know your limits. I'm your new boss, don't forget that " said Daniel by gritting his teeth. Samantha looked on silently for a while, she clearly understood that the beast returned. She thought this man was bipolar.

" I don't need help from a stranger even though it is my boss, so please carry on I can manage myself. And thanks for your sympathy" Samantha spit the words indifferently and walked away from there without waiting for his reply. Daniel gets angry, he feels he was insulted by her and leaves his car to come out. He took a few giant steps to go near Samantha and forcefully dragged her to his car. She didn't expect this and gets freezed by his outrageous behaviour. Before she could react, he pushed her inside the car, seated next to her, pulled away her mobile and wallet from her and closed the door with a bang.

Everything happened within a minute, Samantha realised she was forcefully locked in his car, she is in grave danger. But beforehand Daniel signed his driver to start the car, he too followed his boss's orders.

Samantha tried to open the door and shouted at Daniel to let her go, " Stop the car, let me go. Who the hell are you to bring me forcefully?? You rich brat stop the car "

Daniel was unaffected by her all efforts and he was calmly checking his mobile. Samantha yelled at him, " You don't have any rights on me, I will resign this job right away. I can't work under you, you can't control me ".

Daniel ignored her words and focused on his mobile. She cursed him and asked the driver to stop the car, he remained silent and acted like she was not there. Poor Samantha didn't know he was a loyal person to Daniel and would never go against his words. She tried to make noise and grab others' attention to get rid of Daniel. But his car was soundproof and the glasses were transparent, only from inside from outside, none can see anything.

Samantha felt helpless, a chill spread in her spine, she got scared by Daniel's strange behaviour and looked at him terrified with tear filled eyes. Finally she broke down and cried vigorously by closing her face with her palms.

He kept his mobile inside his pocket and asked her calmly, " Where do you want to go? I will ask my driver to stop the car there."

After hearing those words Samantha uncovered her face and looked at him in disbelief. She can't understand what is running through his mind, but she didn't want to miss an opportunity to get rid of him so, she replied while stammering,

" Gift... shop..." Daniel signed his driver and turned towards Samantha, she was taken back and moved towards the window silently. He looked at her indifferently with a smirk and started to watch outside. Samantha gets confused and prays to god to help her.

After a few minutes of travel the car was stopped at a nearby mall, the driver said to Daniel there is a gift shop here and unlocked the door for Samantha. She was relaxed and rushed to get down from the car but suddenly she was stopped by Daniel, he held her arms tightly. Samantha gets startled and looks at him questioningly with fear.

" This is my second warning, don't dare to offend me again orlese you have to see the worse of me. Now you must be aware what I can do if you go against my words?? None can save you from me, what I have shown you was just a sample, keep it in your mind Ms. Samantha". Samantha gets astounded at his warning and tries to remove her hand from his hold, to her shock his grip tightens then before. Samantha's eyes widened in shock.

" Look Samantha, you can't quit the job even if you want, you don't have that right. Now, I will decide that, " Daniel gave a pause, Samantha started to sweat profusely.

" You are fired " said Daniel looking at her deeply for a moment, then he left her arms, thrusted her wallet and mobile in her hands. Next moment he closed the door and his car left the place. Samantha stood there as a statue.
