Chapter 2 Two

"Hey what are you doing??" Samantha yelled. " Leave me...leave my hands, it's hurting" Samantha muttered in pain as well as anger. Her lips trembled, she tried hard to control her tears to not come out in front of that stranger. She tried hard to remove her arm from his clutches but it was not possible for her, which she understood later.

He was six feet tall with broad shoulders and a strong aura. His eyes were dark, but they were sparkling like an eagle was holding her like a prey. His gigantic strong arms were undisturbed by her efforts, she felt agitated and cursed herself for bumping into that monster. As time passed she felt lost and tear droplets escaped from her eyes unknowingly.

He was watching her keenly and all her efforts to get released from his clutches. Finally he saw tears rolling down on her cheeks and left her arms freely. She rubbed the place he held to subside it's pain, and looked at him angrily.

" Mind your steps. Get lost " He said sharply and walked ahead towards the elevator. She tightened her fist to control her temper and stared at his back by gritting her teeth.

After a few steps he turned back for a moment, looked at her eyes with a smirk and went inside the elevator. Samantha fumed in anger and rushed out of the building. The moment she stepped out, a cool breeze touched her face and brushed away her tension. She felt a little relaxed and started to walk further towards the restaurant where she usually goes.

" Is it habitual for you to bump at me and fall in my arms??" his sharp words echoed in her ears again and again mercilessly. She tried to ignore his unreasonable behaviour but she couldn't.

She asked herself, "Why was he so rude to her for such a small mistake?? She didn't do anything intentionally. Then why did he humiliate her?? How come he can disrespect her without any reason??" She felt worried and started to reminisce about their first meeting.

A Couple Of Days Ago....

Samantha went to the pub with one of her childhood besties, Jenny, to celebrate. Samantha wore a black pencil skirt with peach colour blouse with black buttons, she left her hair loose to fall on her tender shoulders, and a simple earring which made her look beautiful without any make up and she glowed in every possible way.

Though Samantha is an introvert she shared a very good bond with few people and one among them was Jenny. She knew everything about Samantha and supported her through thick and thin.

Jenny will be getting hitched soon so friends went to celebrate their happiness. It was Jenny' s idea to give her a party in the City club, which is one of the famous clubs of that city. Jenny saved all her earnings for her family and is finally going to marry her longtime love.

" Hey Sam, today will be my treat, enjoy this night " exclaimed Jenny happily and hugged her bestie Samantha. Both shared a bear hug and Samantha wished her friend a new start with a happy face.

Shortly after that they both started to drink together, Samantha drank a little red wine as usual. But Jenny gets over excited and drinks a lot.

" Sam, you know something?? It's cool to get married and settle down, I want to see you soon settled like me" said Jenny. Samantha's smile faded away instantly, her forehead had frowns and eyes were so deep. It shows her unexpressed pain.

"Sam, if you want I can introduce my cousin to you, first date with him and then you decide" Jenny gave an idea. Samantha gets pissed off and asks her to stop blabbering.

" Hey, don't think I'm blabbering since I'm drinking. I always wanted you to settle down. Forget the past, please move on, Sam. See now I'm going to get engaged. You should also think about your future. This would be the right time I feel" Jenny advised. Samantha remained silent recollecting her bitter past about her abusive father, who left her mother for another woman.

" Sam, you are a beautiful woman, you have a job, you are earning decently, then what is more you are waiting for?? Are you still scared about relationships?? " asked Jenny without beating the bush.

Sam gets tensed hearing her words. She knows well whatever Jenny said was true.

" Sam, marriage will not be a nightmare for everyone. It will be more pleasant and happy than you imagine. Don't think every man is the same as your father" said Jenny holding Samantha's hand. At that moment Samantha was broken in tears, she couldn't hold herself when she heard about her father. She cried thinking about her pathetic life once again, she clearly remembered how her abusive father hurt her mother physically and left them both alone for a second woman.

" Hey Sam, I'm really sorry I didn't mean to hurt you. Please don't cry, I feel bad, " said Jenny in guilt. Samantha realised that Jenny felt guilty and controlled her emotions like she always did.

" Hey, dude it's ok. I'm fine,you don't feel bad" said Samantha to convince Jenny. Still she looked sad for making her bestie cry.

" My dear Jenny, listen carefully now you are soon to be bride, then it will spoil your growing beauty. Then how can I apologise to Jack?? He will screw me for making his fiance cry" said Samantha and winked her eyes naughty. After hearing her boyfriend Jack's name Jenny blushed.

" Ok... now this is for the lovely new couple Jenny and Jack. Cheers...." Samantha says excitedly and drinks more wine to cheer up her friend, Jenny too gets excited and drinks more.

" Sam, have I wanted to ask you one-thing, did you ever get mesmerized seeing a man??" Samantha stared at her angrily.

" No... No... this time I'm not talking about marriage, I simply asked. If you don't want to say leave it, but don't get annoyed" said Jenny before Samantha acted.

Samantha was quiet for a moment and said calmly, "Never". Jenny was surprised and asked her " Really?? I can't believe it"

Samantha looked at her and said, "That's not my problem. If you talk about this once again I will leave then".

" Ok..ok.. cool, I won't talk about this" said Jenny and murmured silently " I wish soon she should see a man who could break her barricades and give her love and happiness "

" None can do that, " said Samantha firmly, Jenny looked stunned and asked surprised "Sam, how did you know what I thought?? See we are true friends, you can read my mind " Jenny smiled sheepishly and had a sip of wine.

Samantha laughed louder and said, " You spoke louder, it was not your mind voice as you thought. My dumb girl, grow up"

With a sudden jerk Jenny spit the wine at Samantha's attire, both were shocked. Jenny reacted first and said "I'm sorry Sam... I'm so sorry. Let me clean it " Jenny said, spoilt Samantha's dress more in a drunken state. Samantha gets worried and asks Jenny to stop it.

" Jenny, it's fine I will go to the washroom and clean it myself. You don't get bothered, I will be back in a few minutes" said Samantha and walked towards the washroom.

It was a weekend so the pub was crowded with youngsters. Samantha was here for the very first time, she found it difficult to find the washroom. Finally she found it with the help of a waitress and went that way.

All of a sudden a drunken man pushed her, she lost her balance and trembled with her broken heels and fell on the person's arms who was seated on the couch.

Samantha gets stunned seeing a man so close, this was the first time in her life. His face was so close to hers, she could feel his warm breaths brushing her face, she gulped nervously. His blue eyes stared at her brown eyes intensely. His eyes made him look unique, his jaws were sharp, his lips were tightened and so attractive too. Though he looked handsome, I don't know why?? I could feel that he hadn't smiled recently or for years. His eyes were so deep that none could understand his mind. Even people would have gotten scared to come near him because of his dangerous aura.

" Wow!! What is this?? You guys are so romantic. Danie you gave me a surprise" James Miller exclaimed happily by holding his girlfriend Freeda in one hand and another thrust into his trousers pocket.

After hearing James's voice, both Samantha and Daniel regained their senses. Samantha looked at Daniel's rigid face,she was so embarrassed, her face turned pink. She tried to get up from his arms immediately ,almost she jumped out from his strong arms and stood dumb embarrassed. Daniel to get up following her.

" Hey Danie!! I thought I would surprise you by introducing my girlfriend to you but you did it man. I'm totally happy to see your selection. Congrats Danie "said James happily and extended his hands.

" Shut up," Daniel said deeply, looking at James. Immediately he remained quiet. Samantha flinched and looked at him shocked. By that time his eyes were also on her, and it was fumes in anger.

" Who the hell are you?? Who sent you here??" Sneered Daniel Miller.
