Chapter 3 Three

Samantha was in utter shock, she couldn't come out of it so soon, this man has misunderstood and accused her of being unreasonable.

She jerked her hand from his hold and said annoyed, " Mr, it was an accident, someone pushed me in the crowd, and so I lost my balance.I don't have any intentions, none sent me. And I'm really sorry for bothering you "

Daniel looked at her in disbelief, his eyes were dark, he looked complicated and asked her " Why should I trust you??"

Samantha gets more irked, she thinks this man is despicable, she rubs her temple and spits the word," That's not my problem". She turned back to leave the place.

Daniel's face became more complicated than before. " I'm not going to let you go until you tell your identity " said Daniel and dragged Samantha out of that place. James and Freda looked clueless and followed the other two.

" Hey man leave me, I told you it was by mistake, really you misunderstood me. I'm not the person you think of. Let me go! Please listen to me once! " Samantha shouted and tried hard to get released from him.

Daniel became deaf and dumb all the while, he went to the private suite and threw her directly on the couch there. She lost her temper and yet slap him.

But Daniel was one step ahead and held her hand tightly, she struggled to release her hand. His eyes shrunk, lips tightened and his face darkened, he looked terrified.. His grip tightened on her wrist and she started to feel pain. He spat " How dare you raise your hand?? Today you will get your lesson "

He stared at her, she too stared at him. Her eyes filled with anger and turned red as a fireball, but she controlled it with difficulty and warned him to leave her hand.

By the time James and Freeda enter the suite, they get stunned by the other two. Freeda gets scared seeing Daniel's attitude towards Samantha, she pulls James' hand sleeves secretly and gestured to him to do something. James, who was in shock all the while, reacted now.

He shouted, " Danie, what are you doing?? Leave her "

But Daniel was unaffected,he remained silent, his eyes fixed on Samantha. He thought she was sent by one of his enemies. Slowly Samatha's face flushed in pain she endured, her wrist started to burn with his tight grip.

She muttered, " Believe me, I don't know who you are?? My name is Samantha Jones, I just came with my friend to celebrate her upcoming wedding. She is down and waiting for me". Samantha's eyes pleaded to believe her, anyone would have melted seeing her sorrow.

But Daniel?? He is obviously not someone to believe others at ease. He didn't let her go and still held her wrist. James and Freda felt bad for her and tried to convince Daniel. They asked him to leave her hand, but Daniel stood as a deaf. His eyes were too sharp to face, and sometimes Samantha got startled.

" If you don't believe my words you can check with my friend, she will tell the truth"said Samantha. But Daniel didn't react, still his eyes were dark and it gave off a bad vibe. She looked away disappointed and gritted her teeth angrily.

" What the hell do you want, man ?? If you don't believe me then at least give me a chance to prove that you are wrong. Why are you troubling me" yelled Samantha.

" Danie, let me bring her friend. We can give her a chance to prove herself, what if she is really innocent?? But if she was wrong let us deal with her in our way" said James and went down without waiting for Daniel's answer.

Freeda saw Samantha's flushed face and got worried, she said " Brother Daniel, she can't escape from this room until her truth is out, at least leave her hand."

Daniel refused to listen to Freda, he gave her a cold look and asked her to stay out of it. He said nonchalantly , " This is my business, stay out ". She pursed her lips after his cold gaze.

But by using this time Samantha bit his finger and pushed him away vigorously. Daniel lost his balance and fell on the couch with her unexpected attack. Freda gets worried and asks him " Brother Daniel, are you fine". He nods his head and stands up on his knees. His temper rises, he fumes, " You little brat, you crossed the line"

Samantha tries to escape from that room after pushing away Daniel, but he catches her before she steps out and locks her between his strong arms. He caged her between his torso and the wall, atlast he held her both the hands and clasped them behind her.

He was only a few inches away from her, almost their clothes brushed against each other. Her breath touched his chin, her soft plumpy lips trembled, her hair was messy but she looked so attractive. He looked at her brown eyes deeply, and she did the same. He felt something strange, neither could he take his eyes from her eyes nor could he see her eyes.

All of a sudden the door opened and James brought Jenny with him. " Danie, I think she is right, you can ask this woman. But I'm afraid whether she will answer properly, she is fully drunk " James gestured towards Jenny.

" Jenny?? Is it you?? " Freeda flabbergasted and went on to hug Jenny. Everyone in the room gets surprised and looks at them, including Samantha. Danie's grip loosened; using that chance, Samantha pushed him hard and went towards Jenny and Freda.

James asked, " Freeda, do you know this woman??" Jenny nods her head and about to say something she was interrupted by Samantha.

" Jenny, are you alright?? I'm afraid that you would pass out in my absence, did you drink again??" Asked, Samantha worried.

"Hey Sam,why did you take so long to return?? I thought you met your man, lying on his arms and forgot me " said Jenny with the effects of alcohol. Samantha gets shocked and grits her teeth. James and Freda grinned, reminiscing Samantha on Daniel's arms a few minutes ago.She also noticed a mockery in Daniel's eyes, which boiled her blood more.

" I'm sparing you only because you are a new bride, otherwise I would have made you hospitalized. Stop your nonsense Jenny" said Samantha and clenched her teeth. But Jenny was not in the state to listen.

" Do you know these girls??" Asked Daniel, looking at Freeda. She was quiet for a second and observed both the girls.

" Brother Daniel, Jenny will be my sister in law soon, next week she will get engaged with my elder brother Jack" said Freda calmly. Then her eyes went towards Samantha and explained, " But I don't have any idea about this girl ".

Now everyone turned toward Samantha, she got tensed and said, " Don't look at me like this. We are childhood friends. I came to wish and celebrate her wedding with this girl but she had troubled me a lot by spitting wine at my clothes. I was searching for a washroom to clean it then everything happened". Samantha tried to explain her situation.

Including Daniel, everyone looked at her untidy wine strained clothes and felt her explanation was reasonable. But still Daniel looked at her suspiciously, she got irked and said, " Jenny is not in the situation to explain, if you still doubt me you should check with Mr.Jack Brown. He knew me well as Jenny's bestie and we came here to partying" said Samantha looking at Daniel.

" Do you know my brother Jack??" Freeda asked, surprised. Samantha looked at her gently and said with a polite smile,

" Yes Ms. Fredea Brown, even Jack said a lot about you. I'm glad to see you". Immediately Freeda's face brightened proudly and extended her hands to Samantha.

" Call your brother Jack, " said Daniel interrupting Freeda and Samantha's conversation. He observed Samantha keenly. She looked annoyed.

James signalled Freeda to call her brother. Immediately Freeda called her brother and put it on speaker to let everyone hear. The call connected at the other end,

" Hello...."

"Brother Jack..."

" Yeah tell me Freeda, what's up??"

" Did you know anyone as Samantha??"

After a small pause Jack replied, " Yes I know she is Jenny's best friend. Even today they went to City club"

" Oh...ok.." Said Freeda looking at Daniel and James. Daniel's face changed a little. Samantha smirked at him.

" Everything alright??" Jack asked worried.

" Nothing to worry brother Jack, I will explain to you later. Now I'm with James, will meet you at home, bye!! " said Freeda and disconnected the call.

" Are all your doubts cleared now?? Shall I leave??" Asked Samantha, gritting her teeth. Daniel didn't say a word, he thrusted his hands into his trousers pocket and walked towards the window. Samantha didn't understand his behaviour and got irked.

James came forward and said " We apologise to you Samantha, I understand it's a complete coincidence. You can go now".

Samantha fumed at Daniel who stood like he was not related to any. For a simple matter he blew and pushed her in trouble, but he was not ready to apologize for his misbehaviour. What kind of man is he?? Such an egoistic rich brat, Samantha scolded him in her mind.

" Sam... Sam..." Jenny murmured. Samantha gets worried about her and chooses to leave the place before Daniel creates another mess. James and Freda helped her to move Jenny to her car. Before she left she gave a killing glance at Daniel, stamping her foot and then closed the door, he too didn't fail to notice. A lazy smirk came out from him thinking about the woman who had just left.
