Chapter 4 The kiss

I wore a short white dress which hugged my body, bringing out all my tight curves which fitted my body perfectly. I brushed my hair and tied a red hair band, which added to the beauty of my hair. I wore my glasses and picked a red handbag to match with my hair band. I was ready to leave for school when suddenly my phone started ringing, I checked it and saw it was Kelly calling, I slid on the green icon and placed the phone on my ear as I left my room

"Hi, bestie!" His voice blasted through the phone, I took the phone away from my ear for a second,

"Shit! Kelly don't tell me you want me destroy my eardrum with your yelling"

"Oh come on bestie I'm so excited this morning"

"Excited? Why?"

"Oh....don't tell me you forgot I will be picking you up for school today, I'm in front of your mansion''

"Huh.....!" I screamed in surprise and halted on my steps, Liam and his friends who were about to leave turned to stare at me, I bowed my head to them in an apologetic manner, Ethan and Eden smiled at me as they started leaving again

"Yes, or do you want me to come inside"

"No...!" I screamed louder,

"Damn, Taylor you're yelling a lot this morning"

"Of course, that's your fault, wait there I'm coming right now, don't you dare come inside" I growled and ended the call only to see Liam and his friends, staring at me with shocking looks on their faces,

"Hm...hm..." I laughed nervously and climbed down the stairs, I tried my best and avoid making eye contact with them especially Liam who is glaring at me with a murderous look, I walked past them and ran out of the house

I came outside only to see Kelly leaning on his car, he was wearing a black pant and red leather jacket, with black sunglasses he had on, he even changed his hair color to red,

"And here comes my ever gorgeous bestie," He said dramatically and walked towards me, he pulled me into a hug and kissed my forehead,

"You look gorgeous...." He complimented me, making me blush, this is the second time he's complimenting me,

"You never told me you were coming to pick me" I pouted

"Ohh that's because I wanted to surprise you pumpkin"

"Owww....How many pet names are you going to call me today?"

"You deserve all of them cutie" He winked making me smile,

"Your hair looks nice" I smile caressing his newly tinted red hair, as I brush it back with my fingers

"You live with him?" Kelly asked looking at something behind me, I turned my back and was surprised to see Liam with his friends looking at us,

"Hmm, that's my stepbrother, Liam," I said pointing at Liam

"Stepbrother?" Kelly asked and I nodded, he walked towards Liam with a smiley face

"Nice to meet you, Liam, I'm Kelly, we both played basketball yesterday," He said extending his hand for a handshake toward Liam, but instead Liam glared at him and left

"You look gorgeous Taylor" Ethan winked at me as they entered their cars and drove off to school. I walked towards Kelly who is still standing in surprise,

"This is why I don't want you to visit me without telling me, my stepbrother does not even talk to me, just see it as he hates me, I know he would treat my friends the same way, and now that your his opponent in the basketball team, I guess he would hate you more"

"Damn he's really arrogant" Kelly sighed,

"Hmmm, extra...you need to add that to the arrogant" I hissed

"But then, how are you his stepbrother?"

"Let's go to school first, I will tell you in the car"

"Sure bestie" He rushed and opened the car door for me"

"You know you don't have to do that," I said and hopped into the car while he entered the driver's seat,

I put on my seatbelt as we drove off to school,

"So tell me Taylor, how did you become his step sister"

"It was two years ago after I lost my parents, Mr Mayor, who was Liam's father, was my father's best friend, so he took me in as his daughter. I started living with them and that's how I became Liam's stepsister, but I can assure you that my stepbrother has never talked to me for the past two years, the only thing he has ever done was glare at me, maybe he hated me for coming to live in their house

"Hmm, that's strange," Kelly said

We drove into the school and parked as we both stepped down from the car and walked into the class but what I saw shocked me to the bone,

Liam sat down while Beauty sat on his lap, they were both kissing each other, Liam's arms were wrapped tightly around Beauty's waist,

I froze on my step looking at them, I wanted to turn back and run.....hell, I was on the verge of breaking down, but then I remembered I said to myself that I would get over Liam for good.

"Taylor, are you okay?" Kelly asked shaking me, bringing me back to reality, I guess he noticed what happened

"Oh yes... yes" I smiled as the both of us went to our seats, Liam and Beauty continued to kiss,

"Do you want to have breakfast since it's not yet time for the lecture?" Kelly asked

"Yes, sure let's go" I smiled, Kelly held my hand as we both left the class. I needed to get away from them
