Chapter 7

The first stop on their journey to Wrestead was a famous church.

Hobson accompanied Eliana inside the hall, where they both sat in sincere prayer.

Kenia stood outside, watching them. It seemed laughable-what were they praying for?

After they came out, Eliana held his hand and said, "Hobson, I believe our baby will be born safely! By the way, Hobson, what did you wish for?"

Hobson's gaze fell on Kenia, but he didn't respond.

"I'm sure you also prayed for our baby's safety!"

"Yes."

Once the two had left, Kenia entered the hall on her own, sitting there with genuine devotion.

"Let me find peace and freedom from past relationships if I meet my end in Otresh, and may someone bring me home."

Later, when Kenia returned to the hotel, she lingered alone in the garden for a long time.

The soundproofing in this place was terrible. Passing by their room, Kenia overheard their intimate conversation.

"Hobson, when will you divorce your wife? Didn't you say you no longer love her? You don't want our child to be called illegitimate, do you?"

"Yes, I'll find the right time to divorce her. Just wait a little longer."

Kenia smiled as she returned to her room.

The next day, Eliana insisted on visiting the famous attractions, and Hobson, indulging her, agreed. He didn't forget to bring Kenia along.

While Hobson went to buy water, Eliana said to her, "He doesn't love you anymore, so why do you insist on holding onto this relationship?"

"It will soon be as you wish." Kenia replied calmly.

But Eliana's face twisted with malice, and she suddenly pushed Kenia towards the edge of the lake before jumping in herself.

Hobson saw them fall into the water, dropping the bottled water he was holding and diving in.

The icy lake water filled Kenia's lungs as she watched the man swim towards Eliana. Tears unexpectedly welled up in her eyes.

She struggled to swim to the shore, and when the man saw her, he quickly said, "She's pregnant, that's why I saved her. Besides, you know how to swim, don't you?"

"I'm not blaming you. There's no need to explain." She didn't blame him, and she wouldn't in the future."

Kenia used the excuse of urgent work commitments to leave early. She packed her belongings, preparing for her departure to Otresh.

The servant, Nola Castillo, saw her and asked, "Mrs. Watson, where are you going?"

"To a place where no one can find me." She handed the divorce papers to Nola, speaking softly, "Nola, please give this to Hobson next time you see him. Also, let him know that from now on, we have no connection whatsoever."

Nola, seeing her resolute expression, hesitated.

"Mrs. Watson, leaving without a word will upset him..."

Kenia smiled. "He won't be."

At the airport, Kenia glanced at her silent phone. Before being urged to check in by the team leader, she blocked all contact information related to Hobson, removed her SIM card, and casually tossed it into a trash bin as she passed by.

Before boarding, she looked back one last time. "Hobson, this is the end for us."
