Chapter 5 Five

CHAPTER FIVE

Victoria's POV

Catherine insisted we call her Kate and during lunch, we showed her the important places she needed to know, and that included the library.

"My leg is going to fall off." Kate groaned.

"Stop being so dramatic." Anna said.

"But I live for drama." Kate replied.

Kate had a great personality for a newcomer, she was funny, surely knew how to talk and she even got Anna to like her.

"Of course you do."

The four of us headed to the usual table for lunch and we had to hurry, seeing that we spent half of the time touring around.

We collected our food while we shared stories about things that happened in the past though skipping the whole drama that happened with Tessa and Liz.....that wasn't a story a new comer would want to hear.

"What goes on around here?" Kate asked.

"Nothing majorly, just hang outs, sleep and school work." I replied.

"It wouldn't be if you agree to go to all the parties our classmates are throwing." Anna said.

I couldn't imagine what the party would be like without Daniel, so yea I turned down all invitations given to me.

"That's so going to change now that I'm here."

Dennis hasn't said anything yet, since we sat down, it was like he was observing us.

"That aside, our biology teacher is so hot, how do you guys manage not to drool over him?" Kate whispered.

"Not you too!" Dennis groaned.

"Finally, someone who speaks my language." Anna said.

"I'd let you know that I speak your language, but I'm not just interested in talking about my teacher so thank you so much." I glared at Anna.

"I didn't even mention names."

"Well, you didn't have to because we all know who you're talking about." I murmured.

"Okk.....that aside, when is the next party?" Kate asked.

"In two days." Anna replied.

"We are definitely going, no excuses and besides you're supposed to help me fit in huh?" She smirked.

It was pure blackmail, but I guess it won't hurt to go. I was just scared of what would happen as Daniel wasn't around.....I became so dependent on him while he was around so I guess I should learn to live with him being far away.

"Whatever, I'm going to talk to your brother." I told Anna before standing up.

"Ooh....tell him his beloved sister says hi."

"You have a phone for a reason."

I heard her mutter something under her breath but I was already gone.

Thinking about calls, I need to talk to my brother again because the last time we spoke he said something about my parents taking up Nathaniel's case but I didn't want that because it'll be my word against it, that is if he doesn't deny it and it'll cause a rift between both parents.

"Hey baby." I said when Daniel picked up his call.

"I can't get over the way you call me baby."

"Is it a bad thing?"

"Of course not pumpkin, I love it and I love you too."

"I love you more."

We went on to argue who loved the other most until I heard Jason's voice and it shut the both of us up.

"Seriously guys, can't you just agree you love each other equally? Where's my girlfriend?" He asked.

"Who is also my sister.....ouch." Daniel said when Jason hit him on the head.

"She's with Dennis and the new girl."

"What new girl?" They asked together.

I explained how we got a new student and I was put in charge of her. I didn't forget to mention how she's making me go to the party.

"Woah....hope she's nothing like Liz and please be careful pumpkin I don't want you to get hurt." Daniel said, worry evident in his eyes.

"I will, I wish you guys were here though. I was more comfortable with you around and I knew you were always looking out for me."

We spoke some more, and I learnt that they had a new friend who was related to the founder of their school. And that she was becoming good friends with Anita too.

"You better not forget about me." I said.

"Are we talking about impossibility here?" Jason asked.

"It's safe to say I'm obsessed with you in a good way, pumpkin."

I loved the sound of that.....I was obsessed with him too, I look at other guys and feel nothing though I recognize good looking ones.

"So, tell me how's life as the head girl treating you?" He asked.

Jason was out of the room now, leaving the both of us once more.

I told him all the challenges I was facing and trust me, it included waking up early and sleeping late which he laughed at. I also mentioned the perks.... respect and people looking up to you and how Dennis was a great help.

"I don't like the fact that he's always around you." He complained.

"Are you jealous? Besides, he knows we're together."

"Damn right I'm jealous, and he better lay off."

"Possessive much." I said smiling.

"I have to, I mean.... have you seen you? Any guy would be lucky to have you and I'm the luckiest."

I was a blushing mess when he stopped talking. He had his way with words and it gets me every time.

"You mean to say I'm the lucky one."

When he glared at me, I knew better than to start arguing with him again.

I remembered I still needed to call my brother before I forgot and I still had classes to attend if I didn't want the principal to shove my head off.....just kidding.

"I'll talk to you later babe, I have to get back to class."

"That's alright pumpkin, and stay away from Dennis."

I laughed at the instructions because he knew we definitely had to work together and there was nothing to be jealous about.

"Here we go again.....head girl duties." I groaned.
