Chapter 4 4

RAMONS POV

Mr. Thomas was going on and on about something that sounded like magnetism. I stifled a yawn, opened my eyes wide, and tried, like really tried to focus on whatever he was teaching. Beside me, Chase looked equally bored, playing with the pen in my hand, I looked around and most of the students had the same expression as mine, except for those in the front seat, they were not even blinking, typical.

I was wondering where Sandra was, Adam had said that she also had the same class, but then I had not seen her since I arrived on the school grounds. Asking him anything more about her was a waste of my time. The boy was sitting there, sulking over being separated from his girlfriend, Diana. Not what you would be thinking, she has Calculus.

"Our mate!" Devon growled.

"Get a grip, wolf!"

I was feeling pissed with everything. It had only been a few hours and my life had already become a mess. Sandra was nowhere to be seen, Adam hid such a big thing from me, my wolf had been acting weird ever since he met our mate, and on top of everything else on the list, Diana was my mate.

I was relieved that she was not in this class with me. It would give me time to think and decide my future action and trust me when I tell you, I was failing in that as well.

My mind was having a war of its own. On one side, I was anxious to meet Sandra, there were so many things that I had planned for her, but she was nowhere to be found. I hoped she got my messages but then if she had, she would have come running to me. A smile made its way to my lips when I thought of her.

Once school is over for the day, we will go to her favorite café and celebrate my return. I thought.

There was so much to tell her, well only if she let me speak. She loved talking, she could go on and on talking for hours. This was one thing that I loved about Sandra. She and her best friend, Diana, were similar. Diana talked too much like too much.

Woah... see this was the war I was talking about, I would be thinking about Sandra and suddenly Diana would pop up. My mind was playing games or maybe it was just the mate bond. I had to do something about the mate thing. I could not accept Diana as my mate: I loved Sandra too much to even think about a life without her. There was only one thing that could be done, I would have to reject Diana and I was sure she would reject me too since she was Adam's girlfriend.

Yes.

I had to do that without delay. It would free us from the unwanted mate bond.

"But Ramon, Diana is ours. You can't do this." Devon said and he sounded so devastated, I could feel it but I was helpless in this, he would never understand. For him, his mate was everything.

I shrugged. Chase nudged me to get up and that is when I noticed everyone was leaving.

We meant Diana and I had to talk immediately but before that, I had to find Sandra, wherever the girl was. With this in mind, I rushed out of the classroom, when someone collided with me in the hallway.

"What the!"

DIANAS POV

There was nothing much to do in class, for me at least. Calculus had always been my favorite, note the sarcasm there. Jonas waved at me to go fast, Only we two had the same class at this hour. The rest of our classes were with our group that had Adam, Chase, Sandra, me, Jonas, and now, of course, Ramon. I had tried to avoid thinking about him in the past one hour and to a certain extent had been successful also. Except for the constant reminders from Amber, who had been acting totally like a... well... a wolf.

"You are not going to reject our mate, Diana. Don't even think about it." Stupid Amber, her constant growling was giving me a headache. For goddesses sake, it was happening in my mind and her threats were starting to piss me off.

"Just shut up, okay? I will do whatever is best for us,"

"Ramon is the best for us," I rolled my eyes: There she went again.

"Amber, get this thing clear in your head. I am never going to accept him as my mate. I love Adam,"

"Trust me, you do not love him. He was just a distraction then, but now we have our mate."

I was appalled, how could my wolf be so selfish?

"You are not my mother. Stop with your lecture."I shrugged.

"Oh, you just wait till Mom knows about it." She smirked.

I shuddered as that thought came to my mind, Mom would skin me alive if she even gets a whiff of this.

I was shaking my head as if to get rid of all that when I walked straight into something hard. Ouch... that hurt. Rubbing my nose I raised my eyes and there he was, my favorite person in the whole world.

"Mine too," Amber said batting her eyelashes. It was official: My wolf had gone mad!

So, the hard thing that I hit my nose, was Ramon. Yes, I had always been this extraordinary. How do I manage to get into such situations? I had no idea, but somehow I managed to do something of that sort quite often. Anyhoo, so Ramon was near, and with him came the tingles, the fragrance, the fast heartbeats, everything was back.

He gave me a funny look and smiled, shaking his head. Oh, he had a dimple on his left cheek but then was it there all these years? If so I had not noticed. You can't have a dimple from training, right? It is not possible...right? Goddess... what am I even thinking?

"You are still clumsy," He smirked, his voice huskier than ever.

I searched my mind for a come back but none came, I was completely blank.

"Uhh..."

He raised his eyebrow, maybe because I was acting stupid. I watched as his expression shifted, a grave look on his face.

"We need to talk, Diana."

At this point, any normal person would have nodded and asked him to continue but when did I say I was normal? So, of course, I did the exact opposite, not even sparing a glance at him....

I RAN.
