Chapter 4

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Alex and Ma'am Agatha and Mother Melda have arrived at a hospital. The three are currently walking to the room where Alex will be treated. Ma'am Agatha told the others to leave because they can handle it and there must be someone in the said mansion, the mansion of the Monteros.

The Montero family is one of the famous rich families in the city of Baguio, the 'Summer Capital of the Philippines'. The Montero family is not only known in Baguio, but it is known in different corners of the world, especially here in the Philippines.

Ma'am Agatha's wife is one of the said children of the deceased lawyer of a royal family and her mother is a well-known nurse in the said family, so that's why they are so rich.

It was agreed to marry Agatha to Montero's son, Lonelio. Two families, the Montero and Fuentes, are wealthy. At first there was no budding love between the two but later they fell for each other because they got to know each other well and became better. They did have a child, Shaila came first, followed by Haze, Khairon, Daniel and the youngest of their children, Ashley.

Their family is happy. Unbroken and full of love.

A shocking event was unexpected. Lonelio had an accident that killed him. When Lonelio's death caused his son Khairon to completely change, this young man began to become restless and learned to drink. His head became hot which is why it hurts sometimes. His family can't do anything because they can't change him anymore. He was too close to his father so the result was the same when his father died.

"Dude, do you still have a grudge against Alex? I noticed that you keep staring at him badly." Kiero asked the said young man Khairon.

They are in the garden of the said mansion. Khairon first took a sip of coffee and placed it on the small table in the middle of the fluffy white chair he was sitting on.

"Yes, and that will never go away. Because of him, Mom couldn't attend the graduation of our class. I only got a medal and to have rewards once. I'm so happy when the teacher gave it to me kaso that skinny boy! He ruined it! I just want to make my mom proud. Everything was ruined because of him!" the young man answered, he was serious and began to sound his bones in his hand as a sign that he was very angry.

"Bro calm down, I know what you're thinking." said his friend. He is afraid of what his friend might do because he knows him well. Khairon looked at Kiero's behavior which worried the other. "Listen. It's not Alex's fault that he and your mom met, especially that she fell right in front of aunt's car. Besides, aunt Agatha already apologized to you and you forgave her, so what else is your butchi shooting?" Kiero asked his friend who had just finished sipping coffee.

The person he was talking to became serious, he looked at his friend with angry eyes. "I know. Just let me teach that skinny boy a lesson, we're not done yet. And you saw earlier? He even called my mom, mama? The f*ck? What's wrong with him! Does he want to join our family or he wants to be a star?! Look, why didn't Mom just let him die on the road." in Khairon's voice it seems like Alex is really behind here. He raised his eyebrows and took the coffee from the table and sipped it. It's still a bad mix and just looking away.

"But if you look, Alex really didn't do anything to you except the graduation ceremony. Yes, because of him aunt didn't come to your graduation, but... you know aunt right? Even though she doesn't know him, he helps and Steffy is one of them, right? Look. Didn't the same thing happen in grade 6? You had a lot of medals, ribbons, awards, didn't Tita attend because he helped Steffy, right? You weren't mad at her, but Alex's seems like a big one. - deal with you." Kiero explained.

"It's not the same." Khairon replied sparingly without even looking at his friend. Kiero just sighed.

"Why? Because Alex is a guy while Steffy is a girl, right?" he asked his friend. Khairon looked at it and grinned.

"Exactly." this is the answer. His friend just laughed at his answer.

"By the way, how is Steffy? It's been a while since I saw her. It's been a year, maybe she's gotten better." Kiero joked and Khairon just grinned at that.

"I'm sure of it." Khairon answered and his smile couldn't escape his lips.

"That smile of yours, I can smell love from those huh." Kiero joked. Kiero laughed before answering.

"You can't smell smiles, idiot!" it snorts at the friend. Kiero just laughed at this and sat in the seat next to Khairon.

"But Alex has some beauty huh. Even he's a guy, I can say that he's beautiful. More beautiful than Steffy." Kiero's opinion. Khairon looked at it and glared at it.

"Steffy is more beautiful than him. Even sexier than him. Alex is just a trash not like Steffy who even if Mom just helped or let's say picked up there is something useful, not like Alex who was just made to be a hero. He even shed all his tears to look poor." Kiero didn't speak and just listened to what his friend was saying. "Don't tell me you're in love with that skinny guy?" Khairon asked and Kiero laughed before he answered.

"No. But I don't know either. Maybe one day, I'll just wake up then I already love him. That's not unlikely to happen. Alex is kind, soft-hearted, anything that is positive is on him... plus, he's beautiful and sexy." Kiero answered. Khairon smirked at what his friend was saying.

"He's beautiful? And sexy? The heck? Are you serious? You look like you already fell for him. That's crazy." Khairon snorted. Kiero laughed a little at this.

"Oh c'mon. I saw your reaction when Alex was dressed as a maid. You looked so amazed and at the same time your eyes are on lùst while you were looking at him specially on his lap. But I can't blame you, I was also amazed by him too, about his looks and his body." Khairon didn't say anything because what his friend was saying was true. "Silence means yes." Kiero said and laughed a little. "But I can't blame you. Alex has a very appealing charisma. The way he cries, the way he walks, about how he talks, communicates or even just his simple movements and how he is shy. I find it attractive case I'm not like you who fools around with him." he continued and just laughed at the last thing he said. Khairon just raised his middle finger in response to his friend.

"Stop talking about that skinny guy. You're being so obsessed with him. Your praise for him is reaching the sky." Khairon joked.

"I just want you to know that what you're going to do to him is wrong. So please stop it before you do anything." said Kiero. Khairon's face turned serious and looked at his friend intently.

"You can't change my decision. I will make him suffer because of what he did."

"You're being too far. Make him suffer? Really? You heard his story, right? His dad always beats him. He even looks like he can't eat. The bruises on his back, his tears, you're not Are you sorry? Then you still intend to do that? I'm not into him but I think that's too far." his friend didn't seem to hear anything. Khairon was serious as he clenched his fist.

"It's my decision." this is a tough answer. Kiero was just stunned by this. He couldn't do anything because he knew his friend. He is stubborn and what he wants is what he will do.

"If that's so, I hope you have no regrets once you've done doing your oh so called suffer'." said Kiero.

"I have no regrets." Khairon answered this.

"You're not sure. Let's see." Kiero looked at his friend seriously.

The two did not continue their conversation and continued to sip their coffee.

"brother Khai!.." from the opening of the garden came out the said youngest of the Montero family. He was holding the teddy bear given to him by his brother Khairon on his third birthday. brother Khairon is the child's favorite among all his siblings.

Even though Khairon is rude to those around him, it is different when it comes to his youngest brother, he is kind to her and caring when it comes to Ashley. In fact, you can say that the young man is their favorite because of the way he treats the child. He is kind to his other siblings but he treats Ashley more highly and the same goes for Nay Melda who has taken care of him since he was a child.

It seems that the young man's mood changed when he saw his youngest brother. It came here smiling. The young man held out his hand and the boy took it. Now they were standing, Khairon lifted his brother with a smile on his face.

"Hey, thanks to Ashley, the volcano that erupted earlier is gone. I thought it was the end of the world." Kiero teased his friend. It was still grinning while shaking its head at what it saw as Khairon's meek sheepishness.

"Just shut up." Kiero just surrendered his hand to what his friend said but he still didn't lose his teasing smile at his friend.

The young man looked back at his brother who was carrying him. "Hmm..Why are you here baby Ashley? I thought you were sleeping? How's your sleep? Do you need something? Or are you hungry?" Khairon asked his brother. Ashley shook her head at her older brother's questions and answered.

"Oh, what's with that face?" his older brother asked.

"Brother, let's go to the mall. I just want to buy something. Please." Khairon just smiled at what his brother said. He is sure that he will be able to enjoy his one day again because he will be able to go solo with his brother again.

"Okay okay, we will." he answered and the boy was so happy that he kissed his older brother on the cheek and hugged him tightly. It was as if the young man's heart was relieved because of that and suddenly all his anger disappeared.

"I want to go to the mall too, please." Kiero was teasing him and Khairon just threw a spoon at him which he spilled. "Shit, almost!" Kiero. It's like he's still scared because of what his friend threw at him. Khairon just laughed at his reaction and went straight inside the mansion to change his brother's clothes.

"Brother." Ashley called her older brother. Khairon turned to this and asked.

"What is it Baby Ashley?" Khairon asked smiling.

They were already inside the mansion, in Ashley's room. Kiero left outside because he said he was still going to something important. Khairon did not refuse this and just let his friend go.

"Are you mad at Kuya Alex?" Khairon looked at it. His facial expression changed, he became serious.

"No." young man lying. "What makes you think that I'm mad at him?"

"The way you look on brother Alex, brother." Ashley replied. Khairon just smiled fakely and held the child's hand.

"I'm not mad. It's just because, I'm not that close to him that's why I stare at him like that." said Khairon. The boy just nodded at this.

"Alright! Your right foot." the young man spoke to change the conversation. The boy gave his right foot which was worn by his older brother's sandals. "There! You're almost done. Let's just fix your hair with Manang Bibi." the young man called the said nanny who immediately followed because of the fear of his boss's son.

"Sir Tristan, I'm here." Manang Bibi shouted softly and knocked on the door. The door opened and Khairon was spat out. "Sir, I'm going in so I can fix Ashley." the maid was still smiling and said it modestly. Khairon just nodded his head in agreement. Manang Bibi didn't hesitate anymore and immediately entered the said room. Khairon left that room and went to her room to get dressed.

"Hello Aunt Bibi." the child greeted the said nanny. It still waved at Manang Bibi who approached her.

"My pet seems to be having a lot of fun now." Manang Bibi smiled. The boy smiled at this before answering.

"Yes! Kuya Khai and I are going to the mall to buy toys besides you and Kuya Alex." answered the boy who seemed like he couldn't wait to go to the mall because of the way he spoke. He was still smiling which made Manang Bibi happy.

"Oh she... come on, let's fix your hair so you can buy more toys." he said, still smiling, which was also reciprocated by Ashley's cheerful smile. "How do you want your hair done?" Manang Bibi asked and then the boy revealed the hairstyle he wanted.

It only took a few minutes for Manang to finish fixing Ashley's hair. The child's hair in the front is braided and placed on the side of the child's head while the back hair is loose. "Okay, pretty pretty first." Manang Bibi's smiling complement. Ashley is happily staring at the mirror and appreciating her hairdo.

"Thanks Aunt Bibi" the child thanked and hugged the said maid. Manang Bibi smiled at this.

"Our baby is really tender oh." it said and slightly pinched the child's cheek. "Oh, come downstairs while we wait for your brother." it's still language.

The two went down to wait for Khairon to finish fixing it. A few minutes later it came out and went down. It even caught up with his brother who was eating bread.

"That baby is pretty." young man's complement. The boy looked up and ran to approach his brother. The young man knelt down and Ashley hugged him.

"Yes brother. Sister Bibi is pretty because she is in good shape." Ashley replied, referring to the said maid, Manang Bibi. The young man just nodded and picked up his brother.

"Use that up so we can buy more toys." Khairon said to which Ashley nodded and quickly consumed what she was eating. "Oh slow down." he laughed and instructed his brother but Ashley just opened his mouth saying that he was done eating which made Khairon smile. The young man made his brother drink before they finally went out.

Khairon picked up his brother after he finished drinking and walked the road to where his car was. When he found it, he dropped his brother and opened the car door. The boy entered here with his older brother. In the back is the child who is currently watching from his tablet. The young man glanced at his brother and to make sure that he was alright, he started his car.
