Chapter 5 BULLIED

"I...wanted to say...I am very grateful for...what you did back there".

She felt her eyes wet.

Bruno looked up and found her trying not to break down,he looked slowly down to his phone.

"I did what is right,father was rude to you,and said mean things too".

Beauty sniffed and looked up at him,he wasn't looking at her.

Why must he avoid eye contact,it's Killing her.

"You are talented..and you are needed in this company,so don't let it get to you".

"Yes sir! Thank you sir!"

Beauty chuckled loudly.

He looked up and found her smiling in tears,he looked away the next second without any expression on his face to show sympathy.

"I don't know about today but for me,I achieved something".

Beauty said, stared at him closely with a smile on her face.

She used her handkerchief to clean her face.

"What a mess I broke down in front of my crush looking like a freaking ten years old emotional child.

However I am happy,it went well".

She thought then looked up and found him busy with his phone again.

"Your food will get cold if you don't eat up sir".

Beauty said this time not to be too nervous but he totally ignored her.

Her boldness level dropped that moment,she cursed inwardly.

"I felt like a fool,that's none of my business...".

She muttered to herself.

"I...I ... really wanted to finish this typing work but there's a lot of pages remaining,I don't want to fail".

He replied quietly.

Beauty was more than surprised,she never expected him to talk to her that much.

Apart from being calm and being a slow talker,etc.

He is a workaholic,a freaking workaholic,kinda the type that sees failure as something worse than death.

"But if you don't eat,something else is gonna fail".

He looked up kinda confused.

Why is he looking so innocent!

Beauty screamed inside.

"Something else will..fail? What could it ne?"

"Your heart,sir Bruno. It could fail because of stress".

Beauty tried to avoid eye contact,her cheeks burning,trying not to blush.

He slowly replied.

"I guessed you were right,my apologies".

"Oh no it's not something to apologise".

Beauty snapped,laughing awkwardly.

"Okay".

He switched his phone off, put it down on the table and started eating hungrily.

She was so happy.

"I can't believe I did it".

She watched him eat like a proud mama, smiling at him,her hands carrying the weight of her cheeks.

After watching it for some time,she had this crazy idea.

"Sir,I can help with the typing if you want,I mean it's part of my job too you know"

She offered excitedly.

He paused slowly and looked up, his mouth full with noodles that traced back into the plate.

How adorable!

Beauty screamed inside but the joy vanished when he shook his head.

"Alright".

She said a bit sad.

Done with her food, she stood up to go then paused,unsure why.

Was she expecting something else from him?

She forced herself out of the table ,and made her way back to her department.

Unfortunately she bumped into Kathy.

Kathy is one freaking beautiful lady,and she is very aware of her charms.

She's the face of the company,an idol whose popularity can only be compared to Kardashians and named alongside beautiful women like Zendaya,Kylie, Jennifer, Angelina jolie etc,a face of many beauty brands.

"Fatty! Are you blind!"

She yelled out.

Her assistant was dusting her expensive outfit,but she shoved the lady aside, boiling with anger.

"I am so sorry".

Beauty replied shamefully, everyone's eyes are on them now and even worse,Mr Bruno walked into the department at the same time and stood at the spot, he was watching them too!

Beauty cursed in my mind, she squeezed her hand nervously.

"Do you know how much this designer outfit costs me,you fat imbecile!"

Kathy thundered again.

"Enough with the name calling Kathy! She said she's sorry and her name is Beauty not fatty and If her body type is what you call fat I will only say you are being jealous"Jessi intervened.

Jessi came and stood beside her best friend.

Kathy turned to her with arched brows.

"Easy for you to say,she's too fat to fit into this company, bumping into people like that,who does that? Very irritating and talking about jealousy,please don't make me puke".

She sneered.

Beauty slowly tried to walk to her post, holding back on her emotions but unfortunately Kathy seems like she's not yet done.

"Don't you walk away from me,you bag of pudding!'

Beauty's fingers crushed into a fist.

She was so angry and annoyed, uncontrollably she snapped out loud.

"I'm fat! Yeah I know and ugly too,that I am very aware of! Find something else to hurt me with Kathy, because I am not hurt with those words anymore,go on ,try something else! Kathy you are are so perfect and I am not not,that's outdated,torture me with something else".

Beauty said that boldly,but her emotional expressions were totally different,her legs were visibly trembling and her face flooded with tears,hands shaking nervously.

Kathy noticed.

She sighed deeply,with a soft chuckle.

"You're crying like a baby again? Thought you would grow up. Well I am satisfied with the result,jealous fatty, next time look before stepping on my toes".

She snapped with a warning finger.

"You're irritating Kathy,you think bullying is so fun? What a bitch you are! She is healthy, not fat,maybe you should eat more,skinny bitch".

Jessi snapped angrily.

Kathy gives no damn, chuckles out loud.

"Well I am the standard hun".
