Chapter 4: The boss

She finally arrived at the condominium while pulling her luggage tiredly. She pressed the doorbell and Elena opened up for her instantly.

She took the luggage from her and guided her in.

" Andrea I'm so sorry " she said as she glanced at the sullen look on Andrea's face.

Andrea threw herself on the couch. She still couldn't believe all that had happened today; it was just like a dream to her.

Elena sat next to her, patting her back lightly.

" it's alright everything is going to be fine " she consoled her gently.

" So are you keeping the baby? " Elena asked softly.

Andrea looked at her and averted her gaze back to an empty space " I have decided to keep the child " she said with a smile that looked like she was about to cry.

Elena really did feel bad she was Andrea's friend for years she knew how Andrea had grew up without her parents after reuniting with her Dad she was so happy thinking all would be fine but she was treated badly and known as the illegitimate child of the Graham's once the media finds out about her pregnancy and knowing the child had no father they will surely mock her to death.

" I will be in my room " Andrea said weakly while dragging her feet upstairs.

Elena sighs loudly she knew she was no longer in the mood to go to work she decided to let her be so she could think about the next step through.

BACK UPSTAIRS

Andrea sat on the bed and placed her hand on her tummy and tears started falling down her cheeks.

" Dear baby, why do you have to suffer the same fate as your mother? I hope you will never ask about your father when you grow up. I promise to give you the best life and I will stay strong for us okay. Mummy loves you so much, " she said, wiping her tears.

She just needed to stop mourning and living in her past. All she needed to do was get back on her feet and focus on her job in order to secure a future for the baby.

She lay down on the bed and closed her eyes for a while unknowingly she falled asleep immediately.

The next day, Australia Airport

Sean came down from his private jet with Drew following closely behind him.

The car they prepared had already arrived. He walked over to the black tinted flashy Bentley and got in.

The car drove straight to a big villa in the city. It was owned by Sean. He had bought it here ever since; he founded another branch of shimmers company there in Australia some years back.

He came into the villa and the maids bowed to him.

" Good morning sir " they all said in unison and their voices flowed together as if they took rehearsals.

He nodded slightly and proceeded upstairs he went straight to take a shower. The meeting was scheduled for noon.

He came out shortly with a towel around his waist while the other around his neck cleaning himself up.

His phone started ringing he glanced at the caller ID and rolled his eyes he picked up and before she could speak he caught her off

" I'm busy. If it's about a marriage issue, please just kindly hang up, " Sean said over the phone.

" son I'm your mother for heaven's sake you have been ignoring my calls for the past few months. I would like you to come home after your business trip " she said in a gentler tone.

" Are you sure it's not some sort of trap? " he asked.

"No son , there are other things we can discuss as mother and son, not just marriage, " she said with a chuckle.

" Alright, I will come see you when I'm less busy, " he said, hanging up immediately.

He heard a knock briskly on the door. He put on his pants and opened the door.

" Sir, the client set the meeting at a restaurant called dream light " Drew said as he read through the tablet in his hand.

Sean frowned " why not in the company?" he asked.

" I didn't ask further but these days that's how it's done " Drew said.

Sometimes he believed his boss did act in an old-fashioned way.

" Alright, I will be down soon, " he said and slammed the door.

After waiting for almost 20 minutes in the car with the driver he finally came downstairs and got into the back seat putting on his sunglasses.

Drew shook his head. His boss was so full of himself "what a narcissist! " He thought.

The car slowly came to a halt at the garage. He came out with Drew next to him and the guards behind.

They walked into the restaurant briskly, he looked around but couldn't find anyone.

Sean scoffed loudly " so unprofessional, who are these people? " he asked.

Drew turned to him "the Graham's they are one of the biggest family in Australia of a net worth of over 100 million. " he said adjusting his rim glasses

Sean walked over to a seat and sat down. He crossed his leg while using his phone. " I have never been the one to wait for anybody in my whole life. These people lack professionalism; they should shut down their company and give it out for charity, " he said.

Before Drew could reply, they heard the sound of heels hitting the ground. They raised their heads and a lady in a short pink tight gown that could barely cover her thighs walked up to them. She was putting on heavy makeup that didn't suit her,and her smile was so fake and vicious the cologne she was putting was so strong that Sean wrinkled his face.

She brought her hand forward, " hi I'm Naomi Graham, my dad is busy so he asked me to represent him " she said with a charming smile.

He only nodded at her and his gaze went back to his phone.

Naomi felt embarrassed she withdrew her hand and was waiting for him to ask her to take a seat as a gentleman.

She stood still for a while and the man was so engrossed in his phone making her wonder if she was a ghost. She touched her nose awkwardly and finally sat down.

She had begged her father to give her this opportunity to meet Sean. She had heard about his net worth and personal assets he owns and he was in the top five richest and most handsome Billionaires currently. who in his right senses wouldn't use this golden ticket.

After all, if she succeeded in seducing him her father was also going to benefit from it. Imagine him being the father in-law to such a rich and influential family their family's wealth will be tripled.

Drew cleared his throat and initiated the conversation as he could see the unwillingness in his boss's eyes.

After talking for a while, Sean couldn't take it any longer.

" Ms. Graham, are you sure you know anything about business? " he asked. she had been saying a different thing ever since the time she got here.

She was a little intimidated by the way he was glaring at her.

" Yes I do, " she said in a low voice.

She really didn't know she had just wanted to use the opportunity to get close to him; the only thing she knew how to do was to go to clubs every now and then.

He snorted " you clearly don't, the only thing you are good at is clearly written all over you " he said and abruptly stood up.

" Sir wait " she tried to chase after him but his guards blocked her path.

She ruffled her hair frustratedly " aren't I good enough huh? He didn't even take a second glance at me " she said and took her bag.

"Next time you should investigate the clients properly before bringing me over to waste my precious time.Is that understood" he said as they got into the car.

" Yes boss, " Drew nodded.

" Are we flying back tonight? " Drew asked.

Sean looked outside the window and he wasn't willing to leave yet he didn't know why he felt like staying for a few days.

" drive to the company, '' he said coldly to the driver.

Arriving at the company he walked to the up floor and the workers were dumbfounded to see him. Luckily the l manager was strict with them.

He paraded the floor supervising each department one after the other, they were walking and his eyes caught sight of an office that was locked.

" Who is supposed to be in charge here? " he asked.

The secretary bowed slightly " Ms. Andrea Graham " she replied.

Sean narrowed his eyes " which Graham? is it the same family that wasted my precious time " he asked already getting infuriated

The secretary tilted her head "er.... She's the illegitimate daughter of Lachlan Graham '' her subconscious said.

She palmed her lips. She had forgotten she was talking to her boss, not her colleagues but she couldn't cry over spilled milk.

" illegitimate daughter? " he repeated.
