Chapter 7 But what's going on here

Eduarda can’t help it, she simply approaches Erick and holds

his gigantic hand with sharp claws. She

is so small and delicate next to the Lycan that Joshua catches his breath in

horror.

Erick lets go of

Betany who is already almost dead, as soon as he feels a weak electric current

run through his hand, and when he turns around there she is, looking with those

green eyes without a hint of fear in her expression, and all his anger

disappears like magic , and for a moment Erick thinks that she could be his

partner, but he can’t smell her, and the electric current he felt is nothing

like the one they explained to him, and although in a strange way he feels

attracted to her, he doesn’t it’s nothing overpowering like it should be if she

were your mate.

Pulling his hand away

from hers, he says to Joshua through the link:

“Go back with them,

I’ll run to the academy from here”, and runs off disappearing into the forest.

Joshua takes another

breath and says aloud:

“But what is going on

here?

This makes Eduarda

return to normal, and she realizes what she did seconds ago, and starts to

shake.

Gaby has na enigmatic

expression on her face but doesn’t say anything.

At that moment Betany

moans on the floor, and Joshua remembers her and what he did to his sister.

“You scumbag, Erick

may have let you live, but I sure as hell didn’t, and when I’m done with you

I’m going after your disgusting mother,” he says with his wolf’s blue eyes.

Eduarda then places

herself between her brother and Betany.

“Please Joshy, I

don’t want you to become a murderer, can we please just put this behind us and

forget they exist?”

“Forget?, How can I

forget after seeing what they did to you?”

“Now I’m here, so

please do this for me, she doesn’t deserve you to get your hands dirty with

her”, Eduarda says and pulls Joshua away from there, he even throws a hateful

look at Betany, as a warning of this not it would end like this but follow the

sister.

But later his uncle

paces the room, mad with rage, wondering how he didn’t suspect, he promised his

brother he would take care of the nephews, and he loves them as if they were

his children, but with the return of Hercules, the job as a guard of the

kingdom, has been taking more and more time, and that cost Eduarda dearly.

“Okay, I’ll do what Eduarda asked me for now”, he says

referring to her request for him to leave Betany alone.

Looking at his niece

he couldn’t help but worry, she was pure and innocent, kind and delicate,

afraid of what the academy might cost her.

Joshua, gives his

sister another hug and says:

“From now on I will

take care of you”

Eduarda is left alone

with her thoughts, first she had that weird dream, and then she acted like that

holding the monster prince’s hand while he was transformed into her lycan.

Sighing she remembers

the dream and the image of the trapped wolf torments her, and her mother’s

words come into her mind, was it really time to take off the necklace?

She had never taken

the necklace off since her mother put it on, it had become a part of her.

She lays down and

without realizing her thoughts go to Erick, and her eyes are dark and full of

pain.

Now that she knew

him, she couldn’t deny that she felt a little sorry for him, it must be awful

to know that the person we love is suffering.

When thinking about

love, the image of Gaby wrapped in her golden curls appears in her mind and she

cannot repress a smile, and so she falls asleep, dreaming of golden curls and

mysterious black eyes.

The next morning,

Betany avoids contact with Eduarda, Joshua and Pedro, staying glued to Trevan

who has no idea what happened the day before, she is also wearing a scarf

wrapped around her neck, to hide the marks left by Erick, usually wolves they

healed quickly, but apparently that didn’t apply to wounds inflicted by lycans.

A van takes them to

Forks, Eduarda who had only brought a small suitcase, now had eight large

Three hours later

they stopped at a place where the Van could not go any further, the rest of the

way would have to be done on foot, the bags would follow along the river to the

academy.

Trevan began to

complain, for not being able to transform and thus run in their wolf forms to

the royal pack where the academy was located in the depths of the forest,

because Eduarda could not transform, thus making everyone have to walk with

her, and a A trip that could have been covered in half na hour by a wolf turned

into a two-hour walk.

When they finally

arrive, it’s incredible and hard to believe that such a place can exist in the

middle of the forest, paved streets, houses, small shops and snack bars, all

No buildings were

tall, and huge trees were in the middle of the whole pack, and his uncle

explained:

“Everything is built

like this and the trees are preserved so that the pack is not visible from

above, and because it is deep inside the forest, it is difficult for humans to

get here, and when they get close they are stopped by our patrollers, who

pretend to be forest guards”.

Eduarda was amazed by

all that, until she saw a building, much bigger and far from the others,

surrounded by thick logs of wood so that nothing that happened there could be

seen, and heard from a distance, by people outside.

“Welcome to the royal

academy”
