Chapter 10 Another Boy That Looked Like Me

Ashley was still in shock and hadn't recovered even when the whole Lycan castle was in turmoil.

His mind was filled with the scene of a boy that looked just like him in another vehicle staring right at him with the same expression as his.

‘Could that be Asher? Why didn’t Mum bring him along? She never talked about Dad and each time we spoke of him, she would always quiver with fear every time we asked about daddy’ this was hard for Ashley to digest.

He was left in a room with brown paint and mature decor which is not Ashley's type, ‘is mum mistaken? Brown is not even my favorite color and this monster bedspread is not my thing’. Ashley uttered to himself feeling that his surroundings are weird and uncomfortable.

Whitney has never mistaken her children’s likes, although Asher and Ashley are identical twins.

They have different tastes, Asher loves white while Ashleynloves yellow, seeing brown decor made him confused and he can’t wait to complain to his mother.

“Growl.” Ashley jumped off the bed when he heard a loud growl echoing throughout the castle.

He ran to the door and knocked twice, “hey, what’s going on out there? Can you bring my mummy? I have to speak with her,” Ashley said to the servant at the door.

Since he was taken away at the airport, he was locked in his room with two servants guarding the entrance to prevent him from making a run again.

Meanwhile, the sound of high heels clicking on the floor was heard and soon the door was pushed open.

“Mummy, this room is odd. Why would you put me in a room with such decor? I thought you promised to give me a better room here in your hometown” Ashley asserted with a raised brow.

There was a hidden scowl on the woman’s face as she walked closer to the boy, “what’s wrong with this decor? Isn’t brown your favorite? You little devil! You have done everything just to irk me from refusing to go to the academy to running away at the airport and now you’re not satisfied with your room” Ashley's wrist was gripped tightly by the woman who looked just like his mother.

She pinched his wrist tightly, and it turned purple and swollen, “I’m only tolerating you because of your father, I would’ve thrown you to the sea to feed the sharks” Tears brimmed in Ashley's eyes, he was in pain, and was muddled as his mother has never tortured or beats him, this was the first time.

He swallowed back the question he had wanted to ask his mother and bit his lips to endure the pain, “What! You’re trying to endure? Ain’t you gonna throw your tantrums like always? You seemed to have changed after we returned from the airport,” the woman squatting stood up while taking a closer look at Andrew.

“Dennis Lewis, what are you up to? I’m telling you, I’ll cut off your wings before you can fly. If you think you can report me to your father then it's a pity to tell you that he has run mad and is killing people in the woods” Ashley's eyes widened.

‘What is this woman talking about? Who is Dennis?’

“Stay in here and be nice, don’t make me torture you,” she said with a sinister smile and strode out of the room.

Ashley's wrist was swollen and purple, it was also numb but he isn’t bothered about the painful wrist.

Flashes of the boy looking at him in the airport flooded his mind, and in an instant, he discovered that the boy in the car wasn’t putting on a contact lens just like him and Asher.

His jaw dropped, “there is someone else that looked like me and Asher, and Mum” He shook his head as he found the woman’s behavior weird.

‘Probably mum is in a bad mood and I better not cross the line, but what about Dennis? Mum has never mistaken Asher for me, she can’t probably think of me as someone else’ Ashley moved towards the door and locked it from inside.

In a flash he started turning the room upside down, flipping through the closets and cupboards.

He discovered a photo and was certain that this was not Nathan or him, “he is Dennis,” his sharp brow and glares were nothing compared to the tender look of Ashley Cole who has been pampered by Whitney Cole.

“What’s going on? Another boy that looked like me, could he be a relative? Are we triplets instead of twins?” He wanted to ask his mother but she was cold and cruel to him and had just tortured him a while ago.

Afraid that she would hurt him again he can only decide to investigate this while staying in the Lycan castle, ‘I’ll have to find out the truth on my own’ he uttered as everything dawned on him, ‘I was mistaken for this boy, that’s why they took me with them. Probably mum called me Dennis which means he is my brother, I wonder why she hasn’t mentioned him to us?’ Ashley paced around his room.

I only have one way to find out the truth,’ he gazed at the window and walked towards it.

He opened the window and looked down, Ashley discovered that he was on the fourth floor and shivered with fear.

‘Bad idea!’ He uttered, stepped away from the window, and locked it. He sat down on the bed with a soft groan as he was tired.

Looking out of the window he found out that the mansion was enormous and he wasn’t used to it at all, therefore he decided to take time in finding out the truth so as not to arouse suspicion.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Grey the beta of the alpha king Aiden Lewis summoned the best warriors in the Lycan castle and went into the woods in search of their Lycan king.

However, everyone in the Night Walker pack was terrified about the sudden monster in the woods which was their king.

Two people were mostly celebrating, they were the human Luna and his son the half lycan, they were excited as this was the chance for them to put their plan to test.

“This is weird, the Lycan wasn’t supposed to turn berserk at the beginning of the month, not today or tomorrow.

It should be the beginning of the red moon, that’s when the curse would take over him, everyone in the night Walker pack knows about this” one of the pack members asserted while peeping out of his window.

This was a norm in the night Walker pack, at the beginning of the red moon Aiden Lewis would turn into a ferocious beast attacking his people.

Therefore, he came up with a rule that says ‘everyone in the Night Walker pack, should be indoors till the end of the red moon’ so seeing their alpha turn into the ferocious beast without the red moon appearing caught them off guard.

They ran helter-skelter, searching for a hideout while some were able to reach their homes.

The human Luna sent many rogues to attack and capture the Lycan, whether alive or dead.

Lincoln Grey with the smell of the alpha he picked, walked into the deeper part of the woods with the warriors.

However, they couldn’t find their alpha who was out of control and was dangerous to be left lurking around the woods.

“Bang!” One of the warriors stepped onto something moist, with his clear sight he screamed and stepped back immediately he discovered that it was blood.

Lincoln halted, checked out the area, and noticed that it was a wild animal with its head ripped off.

“Shit!” He groaned knowing that his alpha would be mad when he recovered and discovered that he had slaughtered a wild animal.

Not just one, there were multiples of them as they walked deeper into the woods, many wild animals were seen lying dead on the floor with its head either ripped off or its body was ripped apart.

The horrifying scene startled the warriors that they began to murmur amongst themselves.

“Could this be done by the alpha king of Lycans?” The youngest one amongst the warriors whose father was the gamma asked with trembling lips.

Lincoln was crouching on the ground, checking the decapitated animals, he picked up a mixed scent while roaming his hand all over the animal, “keep it down” he uttered and retracted his hand as he was worried that something else is lurking inside the woods must have killed the wild animals.
