Chapter 5 The Truth Revealed

I know what's going on here, Luna Sandra keeps doing this and I sincerely don't know why she does this.

She has been behind instigating and arranging this whole marriage.

Everyone knows that, Elena has had a huge crush on Elijah since forever now, it was not a hidden fact and even Elijah knew this but choose to play dumb.

Luna Sandra doesn't want her son to get married to a poor, wretched girl, she knew that if Elijah were asked to choose a mate that he would choose Elena.

She quickly made her moves to disrupt that ever happening and change the tides of time with her own hands.

She'll do anything and everything just to make sure that her son is comfortable after lying to my father and making me cover up for Elijah's screw up, I became the bad one, my father's disappointment grew each day as she told more lies to turn him away from my side.

My father is in love with Sandra so I don't expect him to do otherwise, since I have no one to speak for me or even comfort me, I lost my voice and every hope that one day I'll be rescued. One day will the truth prevail over injustice?

My place and rights were stripped off from me and I lost Favor in the sight of my Father.

Elijah had impregnated a good number of she-Wolves, is that who is going to be accountable for the entire pack?

But his mother quickly paid them off and told them to never return.

Some who weren't lucky, she devised a means to tell a lie against them and convinced Alpha Damien to banish them from the pack.

She was always covering up for Elijah and he stood out like an upright man that he wasn't.

Few months ago, Elijah had skipped the Alpha Training Academy to go party with some friends where he got drunk and tried to rape a girl who fought for her life, he ended up killing the young kill.

His mother called means I rushed to the scene of the crime, where Luna Sandra gave me a Shirt stained in blood and asked that I dispose of it and the body, since I was the older one. I took the fall for it; it wasn't even the first time.

I agreed to do this because of how much I loved my brother. It turns out Luna Sandra had set me up. The pack came running to me and calling me a murderer, they kicked me out if the academy because I had the blood of our own only hands.

I tried to explain the true story but no one would listen, this is how I have become a shadow of myself.

Isn't it enough that she has done all of this to me? And now trying to rope me into a forced marriage simply meant that she never wanted to see me happy.

She would do to any length to do what she thought was right for Elijah event the detriment of the happiness of the innocent.

This has become my life and this cross I must bear. This cup too shall pass or maybe not.

I was determined to tell Elena all of this, someone else had to know the truth, I didn't want to bring any form of enmity between Elena and Elijah.

But she deserved to know that Elijah was in on this and he knew everything about this arrangement, it was all his mother's idea which he concurred to.

Elijah also seemed to want whatever it was Luna Sandra wanted for him.

Elijah decided to come visit me several days after Alpha Damien and Scott came visiting. I sat still at the back of the house staring at nothing exactly . I was still in the process of accepting everything Scott had said to me and what he had come back to my house later that evening to reveal as to why they were forcing the union.

I couldn't look at Elijah the same, if everything Scott had told me was true, then I'm really not sure who Elijah is, I've never known him and I've been a fool all this while.

How possible was it that after the party, I hadn't set my eyes on Judith, when I asked about her, his response was that she followed Devon on a trip and that was the last time we ever spoke about her.

" You look like you are shredding weight, Elena", Elijah said, disrupting my thought and sitting next to me, I looked at him plainly, did he really expect me to have something to say?

He sighed in frustration and began to pace to and FRO, it felt like he had something heavy in his heart and he was contemplating spewing it out. I looked at him anxiously.

I was running out of patience for him to tell me how he had connived with his mother to force me into marrying Scott and how he pretended to feel sorry for me. He is his mother's son after all.

This clearly has nothing to do with taking Scott or making him a better person, this was all based on their selfishness and desire to kick Scott out of the way and potentially kick me too. We were just victims.

Luna Sandra thought I wasn't good enough for her son and I was sure done of proving anything to anybody.

"Elena, why didn't you tell me that Scott came to see you?" I looked up in surprise, did Scott already tell Elijah that he had revealed the truth to me?

"Elena, I asked a question? Weren't you surprised that I wasn't a part of the pack that came visiting with my father?"

That was such a relief to hear that he was only talking about the noon period and not the later.

I'm sorry Elijah, we are friends and I shouldn't keep anything from you, just that the whole arrangement has been weighing down on me.

I lay on my bed and starring quietly at the ceiling as I counted the days to the beginning of my agony and misery. I didn't trust Scott one but, he'll do anything to make his brother look bad.

One thing was certain, the day I got married to Scott will be the end of my happy life. I was beginning to have doubts of serving as. Gamma when my time was due. I was slowly considering a resignation, which would be the best option for me right now since I had lost the drive and zeal to serve.

I heard a knock on my door and my first resort was to ignore it but the knock grew disturbingly loud and, I knew it was my mother; I could feel her presence along with the plate of cookies she held in her hand. I was quiet and still even when she let herself in.

"Elena, you need to have some cookies, you need to eat something"

"You and daddy sold me off to Alpha Damien for how much exactly? How can you even show your face here without shame?" I asked her, looking very disgusted.

She looked away in tears, shaking her head and sighing at the same time.

"We tried to reject the money, but he forced it on us just to aid his conscience "she said.

"Yet you took it anyway, I hope you haven't spent a dime from it"

Did it ever occur to you that Scott may end up playing one of his silly games and we will be left to pay for his mishap?

How then will you pay Alpha Damien back his money?

My mother looked away, standing frozen by my bed side.

"Elena this was a take it or I'm still going to have my way in the end situation, all the bills through your stay at the Aloha Training Academy was paid by him"

I was in shock as to how long they had started plotting to sell me off and I wasn't told. Did I even earn the position as a Gamma or it was bought on my behalf?

She stood still didn't say a word. Few seconds later she finally says something.

"Why will he call it off the marriage and ask for his money back, have you done anything stupid?" She asked me.
