Chapter 5 Our Sins

Lucy's power was not inherited from maternal or paternal, it was as though she was built with it, a weapon of destruction, blood sucking monger, an element of pain. She hates the light with every sense of belonging, she could hide under the shadow of darkness and be comfortable, her quest for blood drives her in places unimaginable.

She could act like a controlled doll, something switches her on and off, she would on different occasions go naked so that mosquito could bite her, inturn she would kill it and lick the blood off the dead insect, animals tremble at her presence, her best friends are deadly animals like scorpion. She would catch one and tie a rope around its fangs, she could be stung many times but its seems like her body is immune to pain. Pain motivates her to act more. " only the weak feels pain" she would always say.

When she was 6, a family from North Carolina adopted her from St Mary's orphanage, things were sweet until it became sour. They registered her in one school and she ended up killing 6 people. She would attract those kids with gifts, then lure them in a corner where eyes cannot see, then she chops them down like a tree. she would first inflict fear, then pain before striking them half death, then she would watch them die slowly. Escape from her is always impossible because she could disappear and appear at different places. she could make your curtains shake and your doors open and closes. The cats and dogs in her neighborhood all ran away from their owners because of how dangerous she is. She could posses an animal and bite its owner, or posses a cat and strangle a kid. At Carolina, she killed every member of the family that adopted her. She would wait till late night before she would start crying like baby Bush, her eye would turn like a ring and in-between the ring is a small knife, she would suddenly develop claws. She wiped out the family of 6, the last guy that ran out screaming for help didn't get any because before he could scream, she possessed his body and he committed suicide. Her pattern is quite unique, she would allow you get so comfortable with her, then she would strike while you are not watching. When she feels threatened, she would leave the host body and posses another body, then the host body would die tragically, she has successfully returned to St. Mary's orphanage 6 times with different host.

When ever she was done, she would leave a signature "your sins ", it's obvious their sins was adopting her!

The second family that adopted noticed some strange occurrences and secretly arranged for a priest to come and deliver her, she sensed it and lured them all in a room, locked the room and aw5 the house on fire, that night, she was angry because she didn't taste their blood, the blood vanished in the fire.

Lucy is not the most dangerous amongst her possessed family but her ability to function as both human and spirit makes her unique.

The third family that came for her at St Mary's orphanage felt that they have met a perfect replacement for their lost daughter, she would make them so scared at night, they wouldn't know it's her, they felt a spirit is living in their home. She would enter a doll and start blinking, she would make the janglover rotate even when no one is riding it, she would make the car horns blare rapidly, she would kill the cats at night down to the least. One faithful night, she took possession of the mother, the mother took a weapon and carved the husband while he sleeps, then she burnt the dose down before jumping into the river to kill her self. Lucy would sit back to laugh and enjoy the blood meal set before her, then she would find herself back to St Mary's orphanage.

The fourth and fifth family were not lucky enough to even drive out of St Mary before they met their doom. She would make their cars spoil on the road, then disappear into the Bush. They would start hearing different voices and deep enchantment, then in the process of running, they would encounter different obstacles that would eventually kill them.

Lucy was a master of her craft, but she is about to be adopted by James and Jenny.
