Chapter 5 Miss

Everyone in the party kept talking about Alice and Harry

introduced her to his business partners .

Mr Marus came forward with Arnold and Kathy to introduce

himself.

"Hi Alice welcome back to the country" he said

with a smile and that smile only made Alice want to vomit but she controlled

herself and smiled at him.

" Hi and thanks" she said shortly.

" This is my son Arnold Mackenzie and my daughter Kathy

she is about your age". He introduced them.

Alice only smiled at them and Kathy smiled back at her but

Arnold was speechless, he did not know how to approach her.

" Nice meeting you, if you may excuse me" she said

before leaving.

Alice went inside the restroom and sprinkled water on her

face, after years she finally saw the ma that ruined her life and he actually

looked very happy enjoying her family Riches.

She fixed her makeup before leaving and in the corridor she

met a young man leaning there as if he was wasted. She ignored him and tried to

walk pass him when the man held her hands .

" Hi beauty , wanna chill?" He asked in his drunk

state and Alice pulled her hand away from him.

" Go find someone else" She said and the man

dragged her by her waist and was about to kiss her when Alice hit his groin and

punched his face till blood flushed out.

Just then Harry rush towards them and sighed in relief when

Alice was ok.

" Boris how dare you harass my sister?" Harry

asked while buttoning him from his shirt.

Just then Boris Mackenzie memory came back.

" Am sorry I just lost it , I never knew she was your

sister" he begged because he did not want to have any problem with them.

Marus arrived at the scene as well and saw Boris been held

by Harry and when Alice noticed him she break down in false tears.

" Boris what's happening here?" Marus asked.

" This nephew of yours dare harass my sister"

Harry said angrily and pushed Boris on the floor.

" Uncle I was not in my right state of man and I did

not even harm her" he said and that made Alice cry even more, Harry had to

acknowledge she is a perfect actress.

" Boris you jerk....Harry please let's solve this

privately" Marus said not wanting the news to go viral.

" He hurt my sister and you are saying let's solve it

privately mr Mackenzie?" Harry asked while hugging Alice.

" Miss Lane am going to teach him a harsh lesson can

you just please let this pass" he kept begging and Alice somehow felt

satisfied seeing him beg.

" Harry lets leave the matter ok" Alice said and

Marus felt relieved as this lady was kind and softhearted .

" Yes Harry I promise it wont happen again" Boris

begged as well .

And Harry cooled down .

" You better teach him a good lesson" Harry said

and dragged Alice out of there and just then she wiped her fake tears away.

" Why did you let him go? This was actually a chance to

ruin their family name" Harry asked curiously .

" The whole city already knows him as a jerk so this

news won't do anything to them" she said.

Marus kicked Boris on the floor.

" Are you stupid? Of all the ladies does it have to be

the Lane grand daughter" he asked angrily.

" Uncle am sorry, she just look so beautiful and

attractive" Boris said and Marus just left angrily and went back to the

ballroom.

Everyone was leaving so Marus approached Alice.

" Miss Lane am really sorry for what happened

today" he apologized and Alice just smiled.

" Its ok let bygones be bygones right" she said

sweetly and Marus couldn't help but admit this lady is indeed kind and sweet.

" As a sign to show that you have indeed forgiven us

can I invite you to have dinner with I and my family tomorrow" he asked

while smiling and exposing his kindest smile that could make anyone think he is

a good man but not Alice as she already know who he really is.

" I don't know, but I will try"

" Please do come i will like to thank you again"

he said before leaving and Arnold approached her.

" It was a pleasure meeting you miss Lane "

" Alice, you can call me Alice" she said sweetly

and Arnold lost it again, this lady is making him loose himself in just one

day.

" Ok Alice hope we meet again" he smiled and saw

Harry approaching them so he left.

" Just as expected the Mackenzie family are all crazy

about you especially Marus trying to act the gentleman card." Harry said

and Alice smiled without looking at him.

" Since he is acting sweet maybe I should just play

around...and yes I know my target and I won't hurt anyone who does not hurt

me" She said before going towards her mom Claire.

It was morning and just as expected the ratings in the

entertainment news had changed, Alice was now number one followed by Camille.

" How could the ratings drop drastically in just some

few hours" Camille said angrily while watching the news.

"Calm down Camille its just news " Kathy said to

her.

Kathy and Camille are close friends so Kathy came this

morning to invite her for the family dinner this evening.

" And did you see your brother yesterday, he was all

over her" Camille said and Kathy couldn't disagree because she saw the way

Arnold looked at Alice.

" My brother loves you so don't be scared ok"

Kathy calmed her down because she knows what can happen when she is angry.

" Of course he loves me , who else could he possibly

love" Camille said to no one in particular, trying to boost her self

confidence.

" So you say she would attend the dinner tonight?"

She asked after she had cooled down totally.

" Yes but its a maybe option, so you need to come

ok" .

" I will definitely be there Kathy, I will be there to

show her who is taken and who is not" she said.

" We are not even sure if she is interested in Arnold

so just let it be" Kathy said and they discussed more about their outfits.

" Alice are you really going to attend the

dinner?" Claire asked her when they were having breakfast.

" Yes mom , he invited me after all" .

" Are you sure Alice , you know how he thinks

right..its all about business" Grandpa Lane said.

" Grandpa yes I know, am going to let him play me and

then it will be my turn, he who laughs last laughs best" she said with a

smile.

" Sis be careful ok , and don't pay attention to that

Arnold , he is just a weakling" Harry said trying to give Harry a bad name

because he saw the way Harry looked at her yesterday.

" Why must you always want to ridicule that young man

name anytime you got a chance?" Claire asked and Harry just frowned.

" Bro your 100% better than him I could bet that, he

does not level up to you" Alice teased him.

" And that's what I like to hear" Harry said with

a smile and Claire just rolled her eyes.
