Chapter 7 Father and Daughter Cut All Ties

"Robin... trust me, I won't marry Carolyn."

Like an oath, Isaac's gentle voice reached her ears.

"It doesn't matter anymore." Robin shoved his warm hand off.

The smile on her face was faint, dreamy, but also distant.

"Robin, my feelings for you are real." His eyes were tinted with agony.

"It means nothing. As you saw, you're unfaithful, and I'm not innocent."

Overwhelmed by the pain in his heart, Isaac folded her in his arms tightly, "Robin, wait five years for me. I'll come back and marry you. I promise you'll have the grandest wedding in the world."

Robin didn't reply but pushed him away and staggered off.

On a bench by the river, she sat through the cold night. In the bathroom of a hotel, she bathed for hours, but the hickeys were still evident on her body.

It was her mother's death anniversary the following day, and she bought her mother's favorite daisies.

Ironic, wasn't it? Her mother passed away the day after her birthday.

At the familiar graveyard, she only saw an unfamiliar tombstone.

What was this?

Where was her mother's tombstone?

A young man happened to come and pay his respects. Robin grabbed his clothes and asked anxiously, "Hello, may I ask where the former tombstone is? How did you acquire this graveyard?"

"Oh, this place boasts great feng shui. A week ago, I bought it for one million yuan at an auction."

Her mother's graveyard was auctioned. Martha was so despicable.

Robin returned home and saw a happy scene. Everyone was talking about Carolyn and Isaac's engagement party.

"My mother's graveyard." She went straight to the point.

Martha held her chin high, snorted, and threw a slip at her.

Robin took it, went up the second floor, got into Martha's room, took all her clothes out of the closet, and threw them on the floor.

Martha followed her, and then shock contorted her face, "Bitch, what are you doing?"

"You're crazy, stop!" Martha strained her throat to shout.

The outcry attracted Darren Sargent's attention.

"Robin, what are you doing? You stayed outside for two nights. As soon as you came back, you did such a terrible thing." Darren reprimanded his daughter angrily.

"Dad, I only want to ask you one thing. Do you know about the auction of my mother's grave?"

He nodded heavily in acquiescence.

In an instant, all the tenderness in her eyes vanished. With bitter hatred, she looked at the man who was closest to her in the world, "Dad, you're so disappointing. This is the last time I call you."

Robin said blandly with a calm face.

Then she threw a lighter at the pile of exquisite clothes and turned to Martha coldly, "I think it's fair enough to send your favorite things to my mother."

"Starting today, I won't step into the house again. All ties between us end here."

She walked off without the slightest hesitation.

"Ingrate!" Darren's blood pressure soared with anger, "Stop right there!"

Carolyn affectedly came up and grabbed her arm. "Robin, this is your home. Where else can you go? Besides, I'm getting engaged to Isaac. You should witness our happiness!" She said gently.

"Is that so? Without me, your engagement will be more perfect, don't you think?"

Robin shook off her hand, grabbed a suitcase, and left with only 2,000 yuan in her pocket.
