Chapter 5 Betrayed by Heartless Boyfriend

"Isaac, you..."

Robin looked at the man in the near distance. His handsome face and sculpted features were so familiar to her eyes.

Her tender lips opened, but her throat felt so dry that words wouldn't come out.

Her heart felt hollow, and crimson blood gushed out.

Last night on her 18th birthday, she was raped by a stranger, but the first thing on her mind was him. She was unwilling to offer her tarnished body to him.

Her boyfriend, Isaac, was holding and kissing her sister.

It was ironic when their lips contacted!

They stood side by side. She and Isaac selected the dress for their engagement. Now it was worn by her sister, Carolyn Sargent.

Just then, a shopping assistant came up with a smile and praised them, "You look like a perfect couple in the clothes. You're so enviable!"

But the smile on her face froze and faded away.

The smile on Isaac's face also stiffened. There was a hint of distress in his ardent eyes when he gazed at her from a distance.

Robin walked into the store. Her eyes were misty, and her lips curved up, "So, this is real."

Her eyes didn't linger on either of them. Pain spread in her heart. Tortured by that man last night and tormented by the current scene, she was on the brink of a breakdown.

No sooner had she taken a step than dizziness got the better of her.

Isaac dashed up to catch her limp body and held her in his arms. Bitterness and reluctance rolled in his eyes.

"Brother-in-law, thank you!"

"Please let go!"

Robin said blandly, but her words created an unbridgeable chasm between them.

Brother-in-law! How ironic!

She got up and politely pushed him away. Her resistance stung his heart.

Isaac reached out his right arm, dropped it in dismay, and had to watch her suffer.

Carolyn watched their interactions. In an instant, her smile faded away, and her face turned icy.

On ten-centimeter high heels, she stood there arrogantly, "Robin, shame on you. How dare you seduce your brother-in-law in public?"

Her remark was ironic to the extreme. Robin hadn't accused her of her shameful conduct, and Carolyn bit her first.

Robin clenched her fists. Her clear eyes met those of her sister's, "Carolyn, before you question me, remember one thing. The man beside you was your sister's boyfriend yesterday."

"How dare you...." Carolyn fumed, surprised by her retort.
