Chapter 10 Suspecting Her Sister

Zain grew up next door. His mother used to walk the street when she was young. Later, she got pregnant and quit her occupation.

She gave birth to Zain and became an unwed mother. When he was three years old, his mother used her savings to open a small restaurant.

When Zain was 15, his mother met her love. They traveled abroad on their honeymoon and both died in a shipwreck.

Zain was left with the restaurant. To honor his mother, he didn't sell it but dropped out of school. Those regular customers continued to dine in his restaurant.

When he was 20 years old, he sold the restaurant and went abroad to study.

He stayed overseas for five years and just returned three months ago.

As soon as he came back, he rented their store and opened a computer maintenance business.

"Alice, you have no classes today?" Zain put down the chopsticks and covered the instant noodles with a magazine.

She felt distressed, "Zain, there is no nutrition in instant noodles! I've told you so many times, but you wouldn't listen..."

"Ha-ha, a rough bachelor like me can make do with anything." He deprecated.

Alice shook her head, "I really don't know how to persuade you. There are many beautiful girls out there willing to take care of you, but you rejected them indifferently. Zain, actually it's easy for you to have a girlfriend."

His eyes flickered, and he chuckled, "I won't take someone I don't like as my girlfriend."

"By the way, your mother called me, mentioning the unpromising condition with your grandma. She said she would stay for another two months."

"I'll rent your store until your mother comes back. I can move out any time."

Alice was surprised, "You've found another place to rent?"

"Well, not renting actually, I'll buy it with the money I earned from stocks."

"That's great! Once you buy that store, your repair store will run more steadily."

"Yeah."

Zain pretended to ask casually, "Alice, have you met your boyfriend?"

"Sort of." She looked resistant to the topic.

After seconds of hesitation, Zain spoke again, "Well, your boyfriend..."

"What's wrong? Do you have anything to tell me?"

He confessed, "Actually, apart from repairing computers, I know some hacking techniques. Two days ago, someone asked me to investigate your boyfriend."

"Who?" Alice asked immediately.

Caper?

She heard him out and believed it was Caper's doing.
