Chapter 5 Taking Advantage Of Her Perilous Situation

When Mathews walked out of the hotel, it was already evening. Looking at the twilight sky, he decided to head straight home.

But just then, his phone buzzed in his pocket.

He took out his phone and saw two messages.

The first one was a remittance message from his bank, saying that thirty thousand dollars had been deposited into his bank account.

The other one was a message from Debby, which read, "My mom froze all my bank accounts. This is all the money I have now.

Use it to pay some of your mother's medical bills first. I will try my best to raise the rest of the money for you this week."

As Mathews read this message, warmth enveloped his heart.

Although the Coleman family was rich, Debby was still a college student with no source of income, so she didn't have much money in her hands.

Now that her mother had frozen all her bank accounts, that thirty thousand dollars might really be all the savings Debby had.

Thinking of this, Mathews couldn't help smiling.

Even though thirty thousand dollars was nothing compared to the one billion dollars that he now had in his bank account, it was much more important to him since it came from Debby.

Mathews put away his phone with a contented sigh and took a taxi home.

When Mathews reached Inburgh Villa District and got out of the car, the first thing he noticed was a Mercedes-Benz parked in front of the Coleman family's villa.

Before Mathews could reply, Debby shouted, "Mom, don't go too far!

Mathews is still a member of our Coleman family."

As she spoke, she surreptitiously gestured towards the middle-aged man with her eyes, reminding her mother that they shouldn't discuss such private matters in the company of strangers.

She drew a number with her hand in the air.

As he spoke, Hayes grabbed Debby's hand and began stroking it.

Debby's face went deathly pale.
