Chapter 4 Meeting

One building I always see myself grimacing whenever we pass through it is the Kyran Empire. With their huge 20 storey building that stands tall in the middle of the city it always infuriated me. Maybe because I know they are our number one competitor and as a business person you always have to be weary of those

Taking my eyes off the building I concentrated it back on the document I am flipping through as we rode to the Adams company

I know one very thing, if they have decided to take this meeting on an almost unscheduled date then we are fast forwarding to the real deal. Can we get it done already?

''We are here'' Devan said as soon as the car stopped

Through my hope of getting this acquainted with I have totally forgotten the presence of Devan in this car

''Thank you'' I say to him coming down from the car as the driver opens the door

Devan waited in front of the building before I walked up to him straightening myself before we both walked inside

Dressed in a black suit with a black silhouette heels I see myself more as a business woman as I went for that look this morning, my hair curled up in the normal ponytail I love carrying

Once we got inside Devan walked up to the receptionist and after a word he came back to me as one of the receptionist ushered us in

''Mr. Adams will be with you shortly'' she said before turning back

As we waited I brought out the file flipping through it and then sending it away like it was never there

''Jiselle I have something to tell you'' Devan said ''alright go ahead'' I motioned for him to

''Mr. Adams is seeing someone before us first, due to the little commotion from the standing room I had to make enquiries and found out that Kyran Empire CEO, he already is here'' he explained

Hell No!!!, I almost exclaimed. That means Mr. Adams is giving equal opportunity to the both companies, that makes more sense, no it freaking doesn't

Now let's see how exactly that will go. Not less than 3 minutes someone came out saying Mr. Adams is ready for us

Bracing myself up I walked into his office. It smelt like coffee and money, and cigars just like my father's office had smelt before. The female assistant who ushered me in stopped Devan on the way not letting him get in with me

''It's fine'' I tell him as he tried to argue with her

She ushered him outside and I let myself walk more deeper into the office where I guess Mr. Adams must be right

Walking there I Let my eyes trail through the features in the office, how ancient and at the same time it's been modeled into a gleasy design that looks almost brand new.

My eyes running through the whole place it finally dropped on someone, Ace Jaxxon Kyran

This may as well be the first time we are meeting but doesn't mean I haven't seen him on television far too much. He took over the company after his brother had died and the other not too interested in heading it and his always known to be the perfect playboy

You wouldn't blame the females who fell head over heels in love with him when he looks this way. His eyes met up with mine a smile appearing on his face his dark blue eyes glittering

He is too tall for for his own good, his facial features pleasing to the eyes that beholds them

He looked intimidating up close, even while sitting, well intimidating to those who want to be intimidated by him

''Ah Miss Beckett you are most welcome'' Mr. Adams stood up from his seat as he clamped our hands together

''Nice to meeting you too Mr. Adams'' I shook his hand before retrieving as I straightened myself

''Yes, I know it's always been business through the associate but you know how important this is, so I hope you don't mind'' he gave me a pleasing smile that made him look younger than he is

''Of course not'' I admitted and he smiled widely while gesturing I take my seat

''Your proposal was brilliant just as I told Mr. Kyran here.....'' he laughed a little then covers his mouth up ''it still feel weird calling you that so might I call you Jaxxon?" he ask him

''Of course'' he answered in a deep voice that seem to have penetrated into this place

A simple word yet carried with it its own authority like Mr. Adams came here to see him. He must indeed be as arrogant as everyone had pinned him

''So Miss Beckett as I said the two proposal hit me really well and having no choice on whom to accept I picked the two company as to have another formal introduction'' he said

''That wouldn't be any problem I think, we are ready for you anytime you want'' I gave him a self-satisfied grin

''Since it cannot be conducted today as I have a very important meeting, am meeting sure we can reschedule?" he looked at the both of us looking for assentation

'What were we here for then' I almost screamed out at the top of my voice, this man must be joking. He wants to have us wrapped up around his fingers before he is finally able to sell

''That is not a problem at all Mr. Adams'' Jaxxon said with a pleasant smile playing on his face

My face must be far from pleasant cause I notice his eyes on me as it look almost like his trying to edge me on and at the same time laugh at my expression

''Sure that will be very perfect'' swallowing back piles of anger on my throat I answered him

''Perfect'' he stood up ''I must be going for that said meeting, and I will see you both very soon'' he stated

I stood up first shaking his hand and confirming we will always be interested in the said meeting and he should keep me posted

''That wouldn't be a problem'' he had said
