Chapter 4 4

Carter went back to his house with Lucas, and knowing that Courtney will still be there, he met his aunt by the door to narrate what Courtney was doing. Catching a glimpse of Carter, she immediately cried out as she related that, she had made an effort to stop her but the stubbornness that was inside of her had not prevented her from going into his room with the pretext of wanting to sleep there tonight.

Taken by panic, Carter asked aunt Betty to tell her why she did not call for him earlier, matched into his room to see what Courtney was planning to do, and there he saw her holding a knife in her hands.

"What do you think you are doing Courtney?" Carter asked and grabbing the knife from her hands, he gave her a dirty slap with the back of his left hand which pushed her to the ground. Falling to the bottom, she screamed out asking Carter whether she was not good enough for him and that he had to be fucking someone else to the point of bringing her to his house.

"You are insane and this attitude of yours won't take you anywhere I swear," he said still holding the knife in his hands. Baker was disturbed by the commotion and with a pain in her head, she opened her eyes and struggled on the bed as she tried to wake up but the discomfort she was feeling in her cranium, made it impossible for her to even think properly about what was happening.

Finally being able to open her eyes, she looked around the room and it was kind of frightful with the weapons that were all over. Carter's room was not as big and comfortable as she was used to in her kind of life, but the pikes inside made it even worst and scary for her to even remain there.

"Oh my God, where am I and how did I get here?" she asked in fear without even seeing Carter who was standing by the door with Courtney on the little sofa that was by the side of the bed.

" Calm down lady, you are in my house," Carter spoke out approaching Baker but the knife in his hand frightened the hell out of her, and thinking that he was about to kill her, she screamed out so loud that Bronson had listened to her voice from his room.

"That is the voice of the lady that is in Carter's room," he murmured and without any hesitation, he ran out of his room in the direction of his brother's room.

" Please do not kill me I beg of you," she made an effort to plead with him but her voice was still very faint and her strength was leaving her again.

Carter's face had almost reached hers and her eyes were closed as her whole being was in total anxiety. The tattoos and Peirce on his body did not help matters and now he was holding a knife in his hand.

" No girl, I do not want to kill you, I will not harm you because you save my kid brother's life," he muttered gently.

Confused by his words, she tried speaking, but her head pained her again so much that she had to hold it as though her hands could solve the problem. Touching the bandage on her hand, she panicked and asked what was on her head and Carter notified her that it was nothing serious but just a minor injury that she had sustained.

Branson had arrived in Carter's room and seeing Courtney on the ground, he asked,

"Is everything okay here?"

His voice was tiny but it had come round the room and Baker catching a glimpse of him, felt concerned, and waving Carter by the side, she struggled to step down of the bed asking Bronson whether he was feeling fine.

Turning his gaze to his brother and Courtney, he replied softly saying to her that she is the person who does not look okay and she needed to have some rest. Her kind heart and sweetness sank seep inside his heart as he could not gush out the fact that, someone like Baker could be nice to people like them and treat them like human beings.

"You all should just stop this show because I am not finding it funny, you bitch what are you doing in my boyfriend's house and his room?" Courtney inquired standing before her and whacking her lips as she chewed the gum that was inside her mouth.

Not knowing what she was talking about, Baker was frightened at the side of her. She asked what boyfriend Courtney was talking about, but Courtney and her method of solving issues, twirled to being brutal as she began pushing Baker who was first of all not in good shape.

"I will stab you so much that you wouldn't feel anything by the time you wake up in the underworld." The fire that accompanied the words from Courtney's mouth, made Baker weep some more as she had never been faced with such a sustain.

"Please stop it I do not know what you are talking about and I have never been to this place," she cried out but Bronson and Carter not believing what Courtney was doing, had to stop her. Carter, held her right hand and swerving her to face him, he landed another resonant slap on her jaw and this time it was more painful than the first one.

"Oh my goodness you slapped her," Baker spoke out in surprise at what she had just witnessed and her whole body was shivering like a patient with serious malaria. The level of brutality that was been exhibited at that place, was one that her adrenaline rush and that made her can't to disappear from there.

Not being able to take what she had just seen, Baker made her way through the door crying out her eyes and not looking at where we were going. Her ideas were crowded and her emotions had gotten the best out of her.

Baker had completely forgotten about her handbag and cell phone to call anyone to talk more about her car keys and she just wanted to be in a place where there was no hatred, no fighting, or ill words.

Everyone in the neighborhood could not stop looking at her as her beauty was exceptional, with her smooth body and long hair.
