Nairaia and her siblings are now in their backyard. The three are playing with their ball, catching and tossing it with one another. While she was sitting under the tree, reading her novel.
"Lorielle, drop that book and play with us!" Louiell yelled.
But she just shook her head as her response without taking out her gaze at her book.
"Can you stop being a nerd for just a minute? Gosh! You're so irritating," Nadine said.
"Hey! Catch this one," Naron shouted.
The eldest brother run backwards and with all his strength, he throw the ball in to the air. The two looked up and going in different places just to catch it but the ball is too high.
"What the hell?" Nadine grunted.
The ball flew over the wall. Nairaia looked at her siblings as they started to bickering at each other, arguing about who will going to find the ball.
"Are you nuts? Forest was at the other side of that wall," Naron shouted.
"Then, why did you threw the ball with all your strength? It's your fault so, go and find it!" Nadine yelled back.
"Dad will going to freak out," Louiell mumbled.
Nairaia sighed and just continued reading her book. Her mind is now making scenarios on how will their father scolded her siblings. That ball is their Dad's favorite because it has his idol's signature. So, they are definitely be in a big trouble.
She stopped reading when three shadows covered her. Her guts are telling her to run and call her mother because she is now has a strange feeling about this.
"Lorielle, can you be a good girl just for now? If you help us on this, we promise not to bother you again," Nadine said.
She looked up at them. "No."
"Stop complaining you freak! Just go out there and find the ball," Naron shouted.
"Why would I? That's your fault so, you're the one who's in charge to do that," she argued.
"Let's just tell Daddy the truth," Louiell chimed in.
"Ohh, yes! We're gonna tell Dad that you're the one who threw it. You are so upset at us so, you grabbed the ball and throw it with all your might," Nadine laughed.
"You can't do that," she growled.
"Yes, I can," her sister smirked.
"And I will testify if needed," Naron chuckled.
"But that is your fault! What the hell is wrong with you three? You're always annoying, teasing, and insulting me like I've done something horrible to you. I am your freaking sister!" Nairaia yelled.
"Just go and find it," Nadine mumbled.
She tossed her book on the ground and stood up. "After this sh*t, you three will stop bothering me and don't you dare speak nor come to me ever again."
"Okay," Naron shrugged.
"Go. The clock is ticking, nerd," her sister grunted.
She doesn't have other choice. Nairaia glared at her siblings and walked away without any words. She opened the gate and went outside. As she continued in her tracks, tears started falling from her cheeks. Her heart is throbbing in pain as her mind tries to remember anything to justify their hatred towards her.
"Nonsense. I didn't do anything wrong," she uttered.
Nairaia halted when she saw the group of tall trees a few meters away from her. She sighed and looked over the wall of their mansion, thinking about the ball. She made a calculation and formulas in her head to know how far did it go and its possible position. Then, when she finally have the answers, she went inside the forest.
NADINE and her siblings are waiting near the gate. It was almost four hours and Nairaia hasn't coming back yet.
"The sun is getting to set soon," Louiell said.
"What does that freak doing and takes this too long?" Naron grunted.
"This is your fault. If you're the one who went out there then, there will be no problem," Nadine groaned.
The eldest looked at his sister. "Really? I thought you're the one who ordered her to go out there. You threatened her remember?"
"Kids! It's time for dinner," their mother shouted from the door of the mansion.
"Now we're doom," Louiell mumbled.
"D*mn it!" Naron exclaimed.
They don't have no other choice but to go inside without their sister. Fear started to eat their entire system as worry keeps on pestering their hearts. They maybe hard with each other but the fact that they are siblings never leave their sanity.
"Did you guys made friends today?" their mother asked.
"We're just in the backyard, Mom," Louiell answered.
"Where's Lorielle?" their father questioned while walking towards his respective chair.
The three look at each other. They didn't know what to do.
"W-We don't know!" Nadine replied.
"Maybe she's in her room, reading," Naron added.
Their father nodded and motioned them to sit. Unfortunately, the good butler came with a cart of food. He place the dishes on the table carefully and was about to leave when Lorcan stopped him by waving his hand to come near him.
"Can you go and get Lorielle? She probably enjoying her book, not minding the time." their father said.
"Of course, Sir," Cornelius replied.
The three gulped and looked at each other. They already know what's going to happen next. If the butler didn't find her at her room, they have no other choice but to tell them the truth.
After a few minutes, Cornelius came back without their sister.
"She is not in her room, Sir. I looked at the other parts of the mansion but still, I can't find her," the old man said.
"How did that even possible? Lorielle is not that sociable to go outside and wonder alone," Nathalie blurted.
"I saw her a while ago in the backyard with her siblings. I didn't know if she went somewhere else after that," the butler informed.
Lorcan looked at the three. "Where is she? What did you do?"
"Did you played a prank on her again?" their mother added.
"W-We didn't mean it. She volunteer!" Nadine exclaimed.
"Volunteer on what?" their father questioned.
"We are playing catch with your ball and Naron accidentally throws it hard so, it went over the wall," the eldest sister replied.
"Then, she volunteer to go out there to look for my ball?" Lorcan guessed.
The three nodded simultaneously and answered, "Yes."
"Why did you let her, Naron? You're the eldest and you're the one who should be out there looking for my ball," their father growled.
"S-She is persistent and she run away before I can complain," the eldest son answered.
"What's on the other side of the wall, Cornelius? Can you find her? It's getting late," Nathalie insisted.
"The Hallow Forest is what lays on the other side, Ma'am. It is a very dangerous forest especially at night," the butler said.
"D*mn it! Make a search party or something. Find her," Lorcan shouted and stood up.
"We're sorry, Mommy," Louiell uttered.
"Say sorry to your sister when she goes home," their mother grunted and stood up, too, to follow her husband.
The three sighed and looked at each other. They feel sorry for what they did.
