The sudden changes are not yet fully accepted by everyone. They are all flattered and amazed in everything and started to act like a high class person except for the weirdest of them all.
"I love our new life! Although, I still don't have new friends but, I know that I can easily get one when I went outside with my new dress," Nadine giggled.
"I feel like a star a while ago when I do my morning routine, jogging. Girls are looking at me," Naron smirked.
"This is an instant blessing! We are so rich," Louiell cheered.
Lorcan chuckled at their behavior. "So from now on, learn to act like a noble and rich people. Let's not disappoint your grandfather."
"Enough with that. Let's finished our breakfast," Nathalie insisted.
Today is their first day in the mansion. The food prepared in the table are much more delicious and plenty than their usual breakfast back then. Cornelius cooked and served them all like a good butler. Then, he stand on one corner of the dining room, waiting for their possible orders.
Lorielle finished her food earlier than the others so, she exited the room without any hesitation. She returned to her den to explore it farther. Tiredness overcome her entire system yesterday so, she doesn't have enough time to wonder around her own new space.
The room is painted with baby blue color and designed with gold linings. There are three doors which leads her to the closet that is full of clothes while the other one is for the comfort room, and the one that she haven't open yet.
With her full confidence, she grabbed the door knob and opened the door. Her eyes widened in shock for she saw another room that has a study table near the big glass window and shelves of books that are well arranged in one corner. She entered inside and realized how explicit the room is. There was a set of comfortable sofa in the left side corner, across the shelves. But the one that caught her attention was the spiral steel stairs in the farthest side behind the last bookshelves. She was about to walked towards it when her eyes saw a box in the table.
Lorielle moved closer to the study table and took the small wooden box. Without hesitation, she opened it and found a golden necklace with a key pendant. Frowning and a little bit curious, she took the necklace and looked at it seriously.
"It's so beautiful," she whispered.
Fascinated by the charm of the golden necklace, she clasped it around her neck and smiled when its perfectly fit at her.
"Weird," she uttered.
She didn't know why but the necklace feels warmed and it gave her a strange feeling that someone is hugging her or there's someone around her. But, she can't feel any fear and bad aura from it besides, she feels home.
Nairaia sighed. "I miss you, grandpa," then, she walked towards the stairs. "Stop roaming around and go back where you are, please," she joked.
The stairs is small and thin but, she fits in it effortless so, she climbed up without any words.
She frowned when she finally went up. There was nothing in there. It was just an empty room with a painting in the wall that covers the entire place. She looked around her and was amazed on how detailed and colorful it was. The paint was still lively that seems like it was painted just a few days ago.
"This is weird," she mumbled.
Nairaia moved closer to the wall and slowly raised her hand to touch it. But she was startled when the wall sparkled and the key pendant on her neck glowed.
"What the hell?" she uttered.
She was about to run when she noticed that the painting on the wall is moving. Followed by the gentle breeze of the air that comes through it. She frowned and looked seriously at the wall. Her eyes grew wide when she saw the trees and the river swayed.
"What the hell is happening?" she whispered.
Slowly, she raised her hand and put it on the wall. But when she was supposedly touch the painting, her hand went it like there is no wall at all. The whole green and lively nature became real. She can even hear the flows of the river under the bridge and the singing of the birds. She can also feel the cold breeze coming through it.
Nairaia took a deep breath and pulled all her confidence within herself. She nodded a few times then, without any hesitation, she stepped closer to the wall. With her eyes closed, she walked inside and was amazed when she doesn't hit the wall.
To see if she was really inside the painting, she confidently opened her eyes.
"Ohh, my freaking hell," she mumbled.
To see is to believe and she is now convinced that she was inside the painting. She was now standing in front of the brick bridge while there's a small river below it. Trees are everywhere and tiny grasses are touching her feet. She can really feel the air, smell the natural scent of the nature, and hear everything.
"This is awesome!" she exclaimed.
"Lorielle! Lorie, open the door."
Nairaia looked at her back when she heard her older sister's voice. She frowned when she can't saw the room. Her heart started to beat fast as fear slowly spreading through her system.
"Ohh, no. How am I going to go back?" she questioned.
Negative thoughts corrupted her mind when all she see was trees and the river.
"Lorielle!" her sister yelled.
She can hear Nadine's voice but she can't saw her room. So, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She turned around to faced her supposedly room and stepped slowly like she did a while ago. Nairaia's imagined and visualize the empty room and the painting as she walked farther.
"Lorie, open the freaking door!"
Her sister banged the door which makes her opened her eyes. Luckily, she is in her room's hidden room. She looked back at the wall and found the painting like nothing happened.
"Lorielle!"
She sighed and hurriedly run downstairs to shut her sister's mouth.
