Chapter 4 TRAPPED 2.

It was a rainy morning, and it halted several people from going to work because it was a heavy downpour. Miss Lucy sat by her fire side trying to make a phone call. She hasn't heard from her director yet. Susan hopped downstairs to miss Lucy looking worried.

"What's wrong?" she questioned, with her eyes having the image of the fire. Susan shook her head and walked away. Quickly, miss Lucy ran upstairs towards Julie's room and opened it. She sighed a relief when she found Julie praying. Why would Susan scare her off like that? It was time she fired that old lady. Her phone rang in the room, and she excused herself, it was the director who called her. She looked at the window close to her, the rain has now subsided, and she could drive off to the company. Miss Lucy facial expression implied nervousness. She was suddenly sweating and with her palm, she rubbed her face and neck. Julie opened her door and found miss Lucy beside the wall of her room walking to and fro. She had seen her like that before, and Julie knew it wasn't a good sign. She quietly walked pass her to the sitting room with a heavy heart.

"Susan?" she called calmly, and Susan rushed to meet her.

"Get me Jason!" she roared, swiftly walking downstairs. She took her sweater, which hugged on the rocking chair close to the fire. Julie glanced at her, they haven't spoken a word yet for that morning and Julie knew miss Lucy won't be returning for the day. It was morning of course and the house was full of scenes for the day, if she wasn't ordering, then she was scolding or sacking someone. Definitely, today won't be any different. Julie stared at Susan who haven't said a word either, and she wasn't concerned to ask what was wrong after all, she would just be referred to as a child who was meant to mind her business. It was a good thing it rained because she wouldn't be going to school and meant freedom. She smiled with a naughty gaze at the fire. Susan peeped through the exit door and sighted miss Lucy's car driving off, she quickly dialed a number on her phone and when the receive r picked, she hummed a word. Julie looked at her suspiciously but shoved aside the thought.

"Julie?" Susan called and she responded.

"How about we take a walk?". Julie stood up from where she sat and ran to the window to see the weather.

"But it's rainy..." she reminded, sitting back.

"Of course not, it's over dear"

"I don't want to"

"You just have to" Susan convinced.

"Why? is it miss Lucy again?". She frowned and folded her arms together. Why would Susan force her to do what she doesn't want? All she knew was that she wasn't leaving the house except given a reason why, or better still just stay silent and not heard.

A man on black suit opened an umbrella for miss Lucy to come out in the drizzling rain, she stamped her heels on the ground and the water splashed on him.

"Brace up Jason!" she queries, and he nodded with detest, following her suit. The door of a fashion company was opened for her and everyone who saw her saluted her.

"Where's Peter?" she questioned the receptionist, who directed her to his office. Miss Lucy bounced into the office and as she tried opening the door, it was locked.

"I've told this idiot to stop locking up!" she cursed and knocked on the door, in a short while he opened the door and was surprised to see who it was. Miss Lucy order the men behind her to stay outside. She studied Peter and hissed. He tried buckling his shirt that looked tattered and his face which had a lipstick stain. Miss Lucy glanced at the room which was enough to fit for a sitting room with designs plastered on the walls, she turned her gaze back to Peter who folded his lips.

"Why don't you get a hotel for this mess!" she snapped and looked around. He apologized, embarrassed as he kept looking at a curtain close to a wardrobe. Miss Lucy understood that look on his face, and she closed her eyes.

"Get out now!" she ordered and a lady who was half naked came out as she wore her dress and ran out with her shoes on both hands. Miss Lucy opened her eyes and glared at Peter, who was wiping out invisible sweat.

"So Peter, how has the fashion home been for the week since I was away?" she began gesturing to him to give her a seat, which he did.

"Well ma'am, it impressive as most celebrities stop by for some top notches..." he explained while she listened.

"Away from that... what's the news I'm hearing?" she said, tapping her fingers on the table. Peter drew his face closer to hers, and she held her nose.

"How much have you being drinking lately!" she barked, gesticulating.

"Well it's not obvious, right?" he replied, and she felt irritated.

"You should be on my sack list now!" she noted, bringing out a mini jotter, and she ticked his name.

"Seriously? I thought we're relatives?" he defended banging the table.

"That's why I am giving you a chance, idiot!" she blotted out eyeing him.

"Start packing in a week's time because am tired of your attitude!" she stated, and he scoffed regretfully. She had always told him that how comes she hasn't fired him yet? He too was tired of her bossy attitude, she was definitely letting him stay for personal reasons which known to only her.

Peter licked his lips in annoyance and brought out a large book from the drawer, placing it on the table, he beckoned on her to check it.

"Read it aloud, idiot.". He cleared his throat and began to read to her hearings.
