Chapter 3 Living room

Arthur walks into his parent's living room.

" Sonny," Diana exclaimed: excited to see him.

"what is it mom ? said Arthur almost grumbling.

"Your dad can't attend my party this week can you honor it for me?? asked Diana batting her eyelashes at him.

"why me? Philip should do it. he's your right-hand man" Arthur retorted wondering why his mother is disturbing his peaceful entering.

"Because you're my son and your father will be disappointed," said Diana rather perplexed. The truth is she knows he yields only to his father's command.

"But I'm not your only son mom" retorted Arthur clearly not understanding why he can't have peace anytime he comes home.

"you know how your brother is, he's nothing like us," said Diana trying to convince him.

He frowns then said " ok I'll reschedule. if that's all can I go in now?? He asked rather irritated.

"yes thank you son" replied Diana. He sighs then walked to his younger brother's room.

"Hello little brother," said Arthur. As he hasn't seen him for a long time.

"Hey, bro," said Adam it's been long I saw you.is it because I told you to buy me a car? asked Adam. he couldn't help but laugh at his brother's joke

"I can recall what you said I have been busy but I promise to buy you one when next I visit," said Arthur. Adam lightened up a little after hearing him make a promise.

"can I ask you a question," asked Adam. he nodded as a sign for him to ask.

"why do everybody hate me, "he asked. Arthur froze at his brother's question and smiled then gave him a straight answer.

"Nobody hates you Adam it's just that you're twenty and you don't want to study business leaving dad to give Philip your position mom feels bad about it"

"But you're there besides business is not my field. I want to be a priest. go to the seminary school. That's what I want big brother" said Adam giving him a straight answer as he said please make it three weeks which he agreed and promised to call him daily.

In Manchester

Jane returned from work knocking. in fact, banging the door calling out her friend's name

"Thea, Thea "she continued calling.

"Jane, what is it answered" Thea who was looking like she has been beaten to a pulp yelled from a distance.

"What happened to you? you look awful"

"I know. I have a running stomach said" Thea clutching her stomach.

Jane laughed "well, that's awkward" finding her words amusing as. she felt a medical doctor shouldn't have a running stomach.

"This isn't funny "scolded Thea I have tried taking some drugs but they're not effective" she paused then ran into the restroom to throw up.

"Nothing I eat goes down" Jane who was amused before knew its serious then stop joking.

"really?? she asked

what do we do now? I'll go and buy you some vomit pills okay?

she helped her to the bedroom.

"thank you but no clumsiness. my life depends on it "said Thea.

she was surprised she called her clumsy but ran out anyway to get the drugs.

Minutes past then she returned to get her food so that she can take her drugs which she did and after taking the drug Thea slept off.

The next morning, Thea woke up and saw Jane sleeping in the kitchen.

"Jane, why are you sleeping in the kitchen? she asked

"oh, you're awake? Jane answered rubbing her eyes as Thea kept staring at her wondering how she got better within a night's sleep.

"that's not what I asked," said Thea. Jane checked the time and screamed

"omg I'm late see you later

As she hurried off to work she passed Nina by the way who was surprised to see her running off like that.

"what's she up to?" asked Nina

"she's probably late for work," said Thea who narrated her last night ordeal to Nina.

"then you owe Jane one"

"yeah," said Thea then continued "why are you home early? surprised to see her on her working hour she had to ask.

"I know right. there's something we're working on its a secret" said Nina who didn't want to go any further.

"c'mon tell me let me guess. this

secret of yours involves an important person right? she giggles. Nina couldn't deny it

"When you put it like that I have to admit it does so please make me look more beautiful. I know that's your specialty" said Nina

"no, I'm a doctor but you're an exception" they smiled at each other as they went to the fitting room to begin.
