Chapter 2 How he met Nina

The company host a business party. there were many businessmen and women. distinguished ladies and gentlemen from all over the world.

Nina was looking forward to meeting their guest of honor who is the most wanted bachelor of her dreams. As she searched, her eyes wandered for the boy of her dreams.

" Sir if I may ask, where's the guest of honor? "

she was dressed in a v neck purple gown with heels and light makeup to impress him with her natural beauty.

"He's on his way ' replied her director"

she sigh and thought to herself as long as he's single she doesn't mind.

"Mr. Reeves I've heard a lot about you," said the director"

"I hope they're good deeds?" Arthur replied sternly.

"Of course. let me introduce my personnel manager Nina Richards: our finest"

Nina took a look at the boy in front of her with his blues eyes and exquisite blue suit tall sexy figure and low-cut hair she felt her heartbeat at the highest rate.

"It's nice to meet you miss Richards" his vocal sexy voice sounded like a sweet melody in her ear .she snapped out of her daydream when she saw him still stretching his hand for a handshake.

"Nice to meet you too. My pleasure. I've heard a lot about you"

" Like what," he asked eagerly.

"Like you winning the Pulitzer price five times" she commented trying to connect with him through his achievement.

"That's my calling" then he saw his ex and decided to talk to her.

"Can we talk later miss Richards? I have to talk to someone"

" Alright can I have your complimentary card? " she asked

without much delay he gave her his card and walked away to meet his ex. Nina was still daydreaming thinking her dream has come true.

"What are you doing here," he asked.

" I came to see if you brought a date," said Anna with a mischievous grin.

"well, are you satisfied?" asked Arthur.

Her reason for coming was to check if he left her because of another woman but she was wrong.

'Let's get back together. I'll be there for you I promise. I'm reaching out to you for the first time" she said

"And you realized it after I broke up? what a shame I'm not interested. too late. "

" please"

" I'm sorry Anna. I have a project to commission"

"Yeah, you do that. I'll wait and we're not done talking" smirked Anna. he left and she saw Nina staring at him erotically and she thought to herself. Is she hitting on her man?? l must do something fast.

Arthur went ahead to meet his fellow investors and exchange pleasantries. The party was soon done with and Nina was very glad she got his number. she was the lucky one or so she thought.

In Thea's room

Nina couldn't wait to spill the good news to her best friend

"Guess what girls"??

"What! you got the v.i.p? asked an excited Thea"

"No not that. she got promoted as the new director" said Jane

who had no idea why Thea will think that's what Nina meant?

"Wrong Jane. Thea is right. I got his card " she said excitedly.

"Boys again? don't you have better things to say? said a disappointed Jane. she doesn't understand why her friends always talk about boys. she knew that was her cue to leave.
