Chapter 10 Forbidden Law

"It's a forbidden law for guardian angels like us to lust over the mortals we were assigned to guard. So, if you're thinking about those moments where you are naked and without having any clothes on in front of me, be rest assured that it all just meant nothing to me, Savana." A painful sensation run through my nape down to my spinal cord upon hearing what he had just said. "So, are we ok now?"

I gently nodded at him but I didn't have the energy to say anything back at him. It's like I was suddenly lost for words and my mind just went blank like that.

After almost an hour of walking aimlessly, I really felt so tired that's why I sat to the nearest branch of tree along the way, while my guardian angel remained standing in front of me. I looked up at him for the nth time this day while he is looking down at me.

"You actually have wings, right?" I pointed at the big large black wings at his back. So, why don't we just use those wings to fly to Tondo?" I suggested because I really wanted to fly like a bird, to have wings like a bird. Just kidding.

"No, we can't." I stood up abruptly upon hearing that. What the heck?

"But, why?"

"Do you want other people to see you flying without using anything? Remember, mortals can't see me unless I permit them to." Ohh, right. Why didn't I thought of that?

"Yeah, right." I just said that to ease my embarrassment.

And, after what seems like forever again, we finally got out of that damn forest.

"I'm really really damn tired. Can you just carry me on your back?" He looked at me seriously. "Look, there's no one here, if you're thinking about that. No one's going to see that I am floating in the air if you ever agree to carry me on your back." I pleaded with a cute voice, staring cutely at him.

I smiled immediately when he got down on his knees on the ground and showed his wide back at me. It's a good thing his upper body was already clothed with a black shirt I even lended from grandpa an hour ago since we left their nipa hut.

While walking with him now carrying me at his back, I throw questions at him everything that crossed my mind at that particular moment. "Why did you appeared in my life just now?"

I exhaled deeply. " If I still didn't tried to jump off our rooftop last night, I will still not meet you." I still don't even know his name. Why can't he tell me that, though? Do they also have a freaking law about that?

He didn't bother to answer any of my questions again. The heck. He's so boring. The atmosphere with him is so boring. It's been minutes since he carried me, but I can't still hear him complain about how heavy I am. It's not that I am that very heavy, though.

"It's really getting boring. Can I turn on some music?" Of course, he didn't answered me again so I just took that as a yes. Haha!

I got my cellphone from the back pocket pf my jeans short and there, I saw that my cellphone only has a thirty eight battery percentage at that moment. Geez. What an unlucky day. But, I am just thinking, where can I charge that, though?

"It seems like one of those nights. This place is too crowded. Too many cool kids, uh-uh, uh-uh. Who's Taylor Swift, anyway? Ew."

I even sang along with the lyrics of the second verse of the song while dancing a little bit of awkward moves. I'm just testing if Hwang In Yeop oppa will get mad at me for that. I just wanna tease him like that all of a sudden. Hehe.

"It seems like one of those nights. We ditch the whole scene. And end up dreaming, instead of sleeping. Yeah!" I even raised both of my hands upwards and that's the time my guardian angel snapped me out of it especially when I almost fall on the ground behind me.

"Savana!" But, luckily, I immediately put back my hands on his shoulder before laughing my embarrassment away. Mission accomplished, sir. I made my guardian angel mad.

Hours passed again and the sun on our west is about to set any minute now. I feel icky and I suddenly wanted to take a bath and change on some new clothes. Why didn't I do that when we were on the old couple's house hours ago? I'm such an idiot.

Seconds later, fortunately for us, a bus miraculously appeared on that almost deserted road we're walking after getting out of the forest. I raised my hand to stop the bus even though I don't know the exact route it's going.

I hopped on the bus when it stopped in front of me, and when I saw that the conductor was about to close the bus' door, I immediately stopped him. "Wait, sir!"

I looked at Hwang In Yeop oppa who seems to be so calm while ascending on the bus while the conductor looked at me sharply for my sudden weird actions just because he can't see my freaking guardian angel. I smiled shyly at him when my guardian angel stood beside me right after. He shook his head then proceeded to close the door before the bus finally took off again, it made me and my guardian angel almost lost our balance. Thankfully, I grasped on the rod back part of the nearest bench on my side. When we're both seated, I hissed at Hwang In Yeop oppa. "This is all your fault, my god. I hate you."

"Where are you headed, miss?" My monologue at Hwang In Yeop oppa was cut short when the conductor approched me immediately.

"Where is this headed, sir?" I asked back. His gazes turned sharply again. Seriously, is it bad to ask back like that? Is it my fault that I don't know their own route? Shame on me, then.

"This is headed to Manila, miss. So, where are you really headed?" Damn. I really wanna talk back at him again and answer his last question like, 'Hello, I'm just right here, in front of you, idiot.' But, I stopped myself. I don't wanna be kicked out in that bus in the middle of that dark road we're travelling.

"I'm headed to Manila, too, sir. How much is it?" He said something like ten cents. And, I was like, what? Ten cents? It's that cheap?

I handed him my whole five hundred peso bill and his face contorted in annoyance. Why? He doesn't got to tell me that he didn't have any change for my money right now, right?

"Don't you have any small coins on you? I just needed ten cents from you, miss. Not a whole five hundred bill." I tried to smile and think on what to do on that matter but he nodded his head later on.
