Studying them for sometime, he knew something that made him burn with anger, someone from his class was helping the abominable creature, he was crossing his finger and itched to know who it could be, whoever it was, they will surely face the music.
"Remember what I said class, if any of you decide to help this abomination, there will be consequences." He narrowed his eyes and with that, he left.
Liam emerged from the door after Mr Danville left and leaned on the door frame staring at Leigh, but she was too busy to notice him.
Bonnie quickly took a folded piece of paper and threw it at Leigh who was sitting at her desk deeply engrossed in her phone. Leigh faced her best friend groaning. "What is it?" she sighed.
Bonnie instead of speaking, tilted her head towards the door forcing a cough. Leigh followed her eyes and it stopped when they landed on someone, her heart almost stopped. Liam was leaning on the door frame with a smirk implanted in his flawless face. The handsome D. P. P agent had been digging and prying to get Leigh's attention for 'centuries', he felt she was trying to play hard to get, but she on the other hand wanted him to prove his worth.
It's what girls with 'dignity' tends to do, she was a girl with one, at least she was raised that way. She had seen some girls behaving like dumpsters for every man who needed a place to release his load, like Elena, Elena was the type of girl that would sleep with any man she seemed to like, be it a vampire, a werewolf or a human, she didn't choose.
She was the female version of jack of all trades, only that, she traded her body for attention.
At some point, Leigh had begun liking Liam. He worked for the paranormal police and it kind of made her like him more. But then, there was something about him that she hated, his pride. Conceit and confidence are both of them cheats. The first always imposes on itself; the second frequently deceives others. When a peacock struts it's staff it shows his backside to half of the world.
Leigh's eyes went wide and her mouth formed an 'o'. Without a word, Liam walked towards her with slow paced steps stopping infront of her seat, he leaned closer to her ear and whispered.
"I've been waiting for your call" , her face went pale and she stuttered. "I forgot about the date liam."
Liam stood over her his towering height hovering infront of her, he crossed his arms on his chest and wiggled a brow. "Does that mean you no longer like me?" he asked sardonically.
"I didn't say that" she sighed.
"Thats what it looks to me" he insisted smirking.
She hated when he does that, his smirk maybe would have a different effect on other girls.
"Or" he added. "There is someone you find more stunning than me"
Leigh squinted her eyes. "Maybe because you rarely have time for me"
She decided to play his game, poke a finger a little at the hive and see how the bees would react.
"Ohh" he exclaimed
"So it's true?" he asked doubtfully.
"what is true?"
"There is someone else" he questioned suddenly rubbing his neck, there was uncertainty in his eyes when he asked the question. There it is, Leigh weaved a cocky smile.
"Maybe you need to work with that smirk of yours, try not to look like a clown, it doesn't suit you." She stated with a smile before adding.
"There was never someone before, and there isn't even now." she remarked standing up gazing at him. "You are not my boyfriend Liam, if you were, you would find time for me." she stated and took her bag before leaving.
Liam heaved a heavy sigh and closed his eyes sharply. He realized that literally, Leigh was seeing someone else, when every girl wanted the chance to be with him, Leigh was busy giving him a headache. He gazed around the class realizing that students were looking at him while speaking in low tones.
"What are you all looking at" he snarled before leaving too.
Leigh hurried across the hallways towards the school gate, Theo had now texted for the tenth time and she was getting agitated.
She waved down a taxi and gave the driver the address. "Gerrads square" she said and sat on the back seat leaning on it, closing her eyes, she begun thinking of why she was going to meet him in the first place. She barely know him and yet, she feels like she hard known him all her life, when she met him, she felt a strong magnet attracting her to him, maybe it was the reason she had helped him rather than instincts.
He seemed moulded from a different cast as he had an androgynous look uncommon to most people. Lacquered and enamelled by the sun, he radiated energy and brio. His mountain peak cheekbones appeared chiselled into shape by a master craftsman. They were of such sharp contours, it looked as if they were sculpted and pared to perfection. With eyes as bright and spellbinding as lode stars, those bright green eyes could bewitch all those who fell under his steady gaze. They were a-sparkle with mirth and shone like diamond jewelry casted to the sun.
Theo on the other hand was waiting for her, hoping she would agree to help him. He knew she would, he on any occasion would risk his life for her now that he had learned that she was his mate, it would be natural that the two of them would be attracted to each other like two magnets. He knew that it would be hard and almost impossible for the two of them to be together but he would die rather than stay away from her.
Gerrard's square was named after Gerrard mycyntire, he was the founder of the town council and among the most respected personality in Demonville.
Sadly, Theo leaned on the chair and looked at the sky, an eagle was flying high while emmiting series of high pitched whistling,
Turbulence breaks a tree's branches, but only tickles an eagle's wings. Theo was like the eagle fighting through turbulence and still remaining strong.
"Are you thinking of killing it?" a feminine voice suddenly stated, he quickly looked up and saw Leigh standing with her face reddened.
"Are you mad I called you?" he inquired standing up.
"No" she parroted "Cant you see how happy iam, I'm even celebrating. " she stated satirically.
Theo chuckled making Leigh to glare dargers at him. "Relax Darling, believe me, I also don't find joy at your presence." he mocked with a smirk.
It was weird how it made her stomach tighten.
"What do you want?" she demanded.
"I need your help" he mumbled avoiding her gaze.
"What did you say?" she asked touching the end of her ear. Theo glared at her. "Your words were incoherent, can't you say them again but louder this time." she was taunting him.
"You heard me clearly, stop patronising me for the love of wild meat" he retorted.
"Ohh" Leigh sighed. " I can see you got tone of attitude, I'll just leave."
Theo stood up quickly. "I need your help Leigh, you are my only hope of ever getting my sanity back." he stated DESPERATELY.
