Chapter 5 Hanabi Planning

I was sitting alone at the cafeteria table wondering about Itsuki and Ichika San that how will it be if they started dating but I have never asked Itsuki about his feelings towards Ichika San because I can notice that he cares about her. Ichika San had helped me out a lot, I should at least help them too. I can see all three of them entering the cafeteria.

"Hey, guys here" I shouted.

I could see all of them coming towards me to sit, Itsuki and Suzuki San were in a serious argument while Suzuki San was just reading a book. She sat beside me, and the other two were really like two dogs fighting for a bone.

"Hey, kai Kun" Suzuki San greeted me with a smile.

"Hello" I greeted back her (as calm as I can be).

"Hey, guys what you two are fighting about? "I asked after seeing them like dogs.

"Kai, I told her that I am going to join the baseball club, so she is now joining the cheerleading club" Itsuki answered furiously.

"I am going to cheer you so, that you can win every match" Ichika San responded with a crackle.

[Itsuki snaped her head with his hand]

"By the way kai, are you joining the baseball club with me or the soccer club?"

"I can't join neither, I was busy because of some stuff (by the way some stuff is sitting right beside me) they said I am too late to apply. I think I am going to join the literature club that's the only option left"

"OH, is it, I am in the literature club too" Suzuki San declared.

"Then we are together in the club" I replied laughing.

[Itsuki and Ichika San showing me a suspicious smile]

Unknowingly we ended up in the same club, is it faith or just a coincidence?

"Hey Kai doesn't hug her too tight in the clubroom, okay?" Ichika San whispered to me

"Just shut up okay" I yell with a little blush.

[Itsuki was having fun when Ichika san was teasing me and Suzuki San can't hear us so she was expression less]

"Hey okay now let's proceed towards the classroom, we are already late" Suzuki San announced in a hurry.

Is it okay to ask Suzuki San directly about obachan and the past, I was wondering? We were walking up the staircase. Ichika San, Itsuki was walking in front of me and Suzuki San was behind me. I felt like asking her.

"Suzuki San, can I ask you something?"

"Yes, what is it"

"Do you remember coming here for a vacation, when you were a kid"

"What are you talking Kai Kun, this is my first time coming here"

Is she joking or is she some kind of secret agent who is hiding her past? Maybe she doesn't want to tell me cause, she doesn't remember me and I am still not that close to her now so that, she could discuss her past with me.

"Why don't we go somewhere to hang out after school only if everyone agrees" Itsuki suggested.

Everyone including me agreed to that gathering, our table was at the end of the coffee house, the counter was at our front. The owner of the coffee house is a kind lady, her name is Kharisma Singh. We are the regulars here; we are coming here since middle school. She is always kind to us. Everyone was discussing a new transfer student who changed his club every week; I wonder who he might be. I was not so interested in talking about that matter, so I just ignored it.

After that, we had a little chit-chat about our clubs, little by little I thought maybe I can be close to Suzuki San and make her remember me. I guess she loves to read a book she is always with some book or the other in her hand. Is she a nerd? I asked myself.

"Can I ask you guys a favor? I don't know this place, as I am new here. I wanted to check out the Hanabi festival, can you guys join me? Suzuki San asked (or more like requested to us).

"We would love to join you Suzuki San, Right Kai Kun?" Itsuki San quickly responded.

"Yes of course"

"Okay, then I will text everyone the time" Ichika San took the initiative.

After we left the coffeehouse Suzuki San went before us, and we took the other way. There is still one thing I can't understand that does she forgotten everything of the time when we were young. I was curious about why did she told us "I don't know this place" and in the hallway when I asked her about visiting this place when she was young, she told me it was her first time visiting here.

"Itsuki why did Suzuki San told us that she doesn't know the place?"

"Maybe she is playing with us or is she a doppelganger of the real Suzaki San" Itsuki replied with a touch of sarcasm.

[we all started laughing after hearing Itsuki reply]

But I wonder what happens after she left this place eight years ago, I need to meet obachan soon and talk about Suzuki San.
