I'm not saying that I think of you constantly, but I can't deny the fact that each time my mind wanders, it always finds some way back to you - Lobe Quotes Google.
Magellan turned to walk away but he wasn't looking where he was walking, he bumped into someone causing them to yelp out.
The lady was about to fall backwards but he quickly held her hand and helped her to maintain her balance but then, she fell forwards and collided with his hard chest.
"Ouch," She whimpered as she raked her dark brown hair backwards so as to see whom she
had collided with.
The man was heavily built and handsome too. Actually, this man was just as handsome as the men she had seen in movies and magazines or perhaps this man was as handsome as the men she had read in her favorite fictional hub.
She had zoned out so she didn't hear what the handsome man had said. She quickly took a step back and pulled her hand out of his grasp.
Those large brown eyes... Those eyes..
His mind couldn't stop wondering where he had seen those eyes before though he was so certain that he had seen them before.
"Look where you're going next time!" He exclaimed as she took another step back away from him.
'Wait what? I'm not the one at fault. You're the one who wasn't looking where you were going,' Risks wanted to say but she said nothing at all.
"My apologies sir," Riska muttered but Magellan said nothing and walked past her to head into his office.
Riska watched him walk away before rushing back to her seat in the long queue. This was indeed going to be a long day to her.
She wondered if everyone in the waiting hall felt the same about this particular moment but she couldn't just go ahead and ask them such a question. She had poor social skills though so it was best if she kept quiet.
"Okay what was that about?" Andrew questioned once they sauntered into Magellan's office.
Andrew shut the door behind him as Magellan sat on his large swivel chair that was behind his desk.
"What was about what?" Magellan questioned back.
"I'm talking about what just happened several minutes ago". Andrew replied as he walked towards the desk and leaned his hands on it, his eyes were fixed on Magellan.
"Nothing happened". Magellan remarked.
"Magellan, you clearly weren't looking where you were going and you bumped into that young woman then you snapped at her," Andrew accused.
Magellan sighed, "I did not snap at her,"
"Yes you did," Andrew insisted earning a hard look from his friend.
"Okay, maybe you didn't snap at her," Andrew replied and swallowed the saliva in his mouth.
"But you were the wrong one here," He added again.
"Andrew, do me a favor and get me the list containing all the names of those people trying out the modelling auditions". Magellan requested.
"All the names?" Andrew repeated.
Magellan swiveled on his chair a little as he opened his laptop and looked at the screen.
"Yes all the names". He affirmed. He couldn't stop thinking about those eyes or rather, he couldn't stop thinking about that young lady he had bumped into downstairs.
He had a suspicion and he needed to know if he was right or not and this, was the only way to get his answers checked out.
"Okay". Andrew had spoken slowly.
"Be quick, I urgently need those files". Instructed Magellan. Andrew straightened up and walked out of the office to go do what he had been asked to do.
Up to this point, he wasn't surprised that much by Magellan's behavior and sudden change of mood. The man was unpredictable and all that Andrew could do was to sit back and watch for himself the upcoming drama that he was sure that it was going to roll up.
"Is it possible? Is it really possible that it's her? Perhaps, perhaps I'm mistaking her for someone else," Magellan stated. He was talking to no one in particular. Andrew had left to go take the list that he had asked for.
"There's only one way to find out," He thought out loud.
"When the list comes, I'll get to know the truth once and for all. Though, she resembles her mother quite a lot," He added as he let out a sigh and looked away from his laptop for several minutes. He was deep in thoughts.
"If it's really her..." he trailed off and leaned back on his chair.
If it was really her, what was he going to do? Was he really going to punish her for the pain he had gone through? It was all in the past and moreover, she had no idea of whom he was now.
He had undergone several plastic surgeries to get this face... to become handsome and appealing to everyone in the world.
He was the face of this company after all and all eyes were on him and everything that he did.
He sighed again as he took a pencil from the pen holder and squeezed it a little only to result to it's breakage.
Perhaps he had added more pressure in his grip on the pencil? He was not sure but that didn't matter. The bitterness that his heart held after all these years.. That bitterness that was well hidden in his heart for all these years accumulated into anger.
Rolls of new emotion waved up in him and he was so sure of what he wanted. He knew what he wanted and he was going to make sure that he got what he wanted no matter the price he had to pay.
He sighed again as he placed the broken pieces of the pencil that he had been holding, on the table.
Damn it! He couldn't stop thinking of the possibilities that it was her, in his building trying to audition for the modelling job in his company!
