The next night.
Another meeting of the pack was adjourned. Selene knew that Anna would be alone in the barn. She was also pleased to see that the broken wall had been restored as it was a reminder of her last brutal memory of Olivia.
"Beta Anna?" Selene called.
Anna came out of the shadows. "Yes, Selene?"
Selene grabbed something from the pocket of her jeans then extended her hand.
It was the trinket which was so broken up it was barely recognizable.
Anna took a hold of the pieces. She smiled.
"This is an heirloom from your Mother's clan." Anna explained.
Selene's mouth dropped open. "I don't understand."
"Did you see anything when you first touched it?"
Selene was taken aback. How did Anna know?
"Yes, I saw a she-wolf who was writing my Mother's pack's symbol on a cave wall with her own blood."
Anna nodded her head. "This is from the Era of the Shadow. A time where female werewolves could manipulate and control fate."

Later that night.
Selene had left the broken pieces of the trinket with Beta Anna hoping she could restore it to its original form. Anna promised that would do so.
Selene was lying in bed and about to fall asleep when she heard something. She sat up in bed when a hand pressed against her mouth making her unable to scream.
"Shhh. It's me." The familiar voice told her.
Ronan's lips were right next to her ear. This made her feel a warm sensation.
She wanted to hold him right then. She wanted to feel his warmth inside of her. To feel his tongue inside her mouth.
"I know of your vision." Ronan told her.
"How-"
"That doesn't matter." Ronan interrupted her. "Your ancestor was one of the original Moon's Shadow wolves. You have their blood coarsing in your veins."
Selene was flabbergasted. "What does this mean?"
"It means on the next full moon. You either awaken. Or you will die."

The next day.
Caleb did not realize that today a meeting had been called. That too in the late Olivia's house.
He entered through the front door to see only Alpha Warren standing in front of him.
"Caleb, I am so glad you could come." Warren told him.
"Yes, Sir. Happy to serve. We are alone?" Caleb asked.
Warren's expression turned serious. He told Caleb that Selene Carter was dangerous. She had to be stopped. By any means necessary.
**
That afternoon, Selene's phone rang. It was Caleb. She hesitated before picking up the call.
"Caleb?" She finally answered the call.
"Selene. It's urgent." He told her. "I'll text you an address, meet me there, alone."
**
Selene was very reluctant to meet Caleb. It was the full moon later that night. Ronan had warned her that she would die or transform. It was all she could think about. But she was also hesitant to meet Caleb as he had attacked her earlier. Hopefully, that was all behind them.
Selene looked at the address in the text message. She didn't realize it was in such a seemingly vacant place. There was a cabin in the woods.
She knocked on the door before entering.
"Come in." It was Caleb's voice.
She didn't know she would be walking into a trap.
