Chapter 3 RESCUED BY A STRANGER

Rose Magenta was the only daughter of Mr. Emerald. She was a young woman who was attending college. Rose Magenta majored in Architecture because she was so eager to become a skilled architect in the future. This passionate young woman had to stop her pursuit when her father's company went bankrupt overnight.

That was a fragment of Rose Magenta's life story before she had to make the most difficult decision of her life, which had now turned into her worst nightmare.

A few days after her divorce, Finn Marck withdrew all the funding he had previously agreed to provide for Rose Magenta's father's already bankrupt company. Even though everything had gone smoothly for the past two months, after the divorce, all the funding was pulled out entirely.

No need to ask, of course the company immediately shut down.

"I beg you, don't do this to my father's company. I've accepted it and let you go with her. I won't demand anything from you. But please, don't pull all your shares from my father's company," said Rose Magenta while sobbing.

Yes, today Rose Magenta went to her ex-husband's company early in the morning and waited for him in front of the lobby.

When she saw Finn Marck get out of his luxury car holding the hand of the woman he claimed was his fiancée, Rose Magenta immediately approached him and begged her ex-husband who had divorced her in haste.

"What can you demand?! You have no rights at all!" Finn Marck replied coldly.

"Yes, I know I have no rights. But please, don't do this to my family," said Rose Magenta again, and this time she began to kneel. Pleading desperately at Finn Marck's feet.

She didn't care that all the employees of her husband's company were watching her; Rose Magenta did it fully consciously for the sake of her father and mother. Even though hatred had filled every vein in her body, this was the last thing she could do for her family's well-being-and the baby inside her womb, of course.

"Move! You've wasted my precious time!"

Finn Marck immediately spoke after his fiancée pinched his arm, unwilling to let her man's long legs be touched by the hands of the ex-wife he had just divorced yesterday.

"Ah! Ssstt!"

Finn Marck shrugged off Rose Magenta's shoulder while his foot pushed her body, making her stumble and fall to the side.

"Hahaa. How pitiful, pathetic and embarrassing. Puh!" sneered the woman clinging to Finn Marck's arm, mocking her while spitting on the tearful Rose Magenta.

Creshhh!

Her heart, already deeply wounded yesterday, was now shattered into pieces beyond recognition. Even shards of glass were better than the shattered heart of Rose Magenta that had been crushed and turned numb instantly.

Clutching her still-flat stomach again, Rose Magenta narrowed her eyes sharply. She remembered clearly the date and day of the unluckiest moment of her life.

Never did she imagine that her very young daughter would become a widow at the age of just 22. Rose Magenta's mother fell ill and died two weeks after suffering mentally from everything that had happened to her only daughter and her husband's company.

Meanwhile, Rose Magenta's father had a mild heart attack after losing his wife so suddenly, and Mr. Emerald could not accept the reality of being played by his own son-in-law, Finn Marck.

Rose Magenta, who was in early pregnancy, had to bear a heavy burden in an instant. She had already lost her mother, and she couldn't bear it if she were to lose her father too.

When the love she felt for the first time in her life was repaid with cruelty, that love immediately turned into deep hatred. Harboring that hatred made Rose Magenta grow into a more mature woman and better understand the true meaning of life.

Rose Magenta immediately looked for work to support their lives and pay for her father's treatment, who often felt short of breath.

It was the third day that Rose Magenta walked the streets, going in and out of companies to apply for jobs.

Somehow, her bad luck made every company she went to have no job vacancies. They immediately rejected her application after seeing that her education ended only at high school. Or perhaps Finn Marck was behind it all? Who knows.

The disappointment from the rejections and mockery didn't break Rose Magenta's spirit. This young pregnant woman kept striving to find work, still walking with enthusiasm. Especially when she remembered that her father needed her, her fading spirit would ignite again.

This afternoon, she swallowed her disappointment once again because not a single company was willing to hire her-not even as an office girl. Thirst and hunger made her walk weakly, until she finally fainted on the roadside, causing all her job application documents clutched in her arms to scatter everywhere.

A shiny black car immediately stopped when its driver saw someone fall suddenly after crossing the road. It had nearly hit her.

It turned out that the driver of the luxury car was a man, and he immediately helped Rose Magenta.

"Miss! Miss?!" the man called, lifting his sunglasses onto his head to see more clearly.

"Hey! Take responsibility! Did you hit her?!"

Several shouts were heard from people who had stopped and gathered around.

"No! I didn't hit this lady. She fainted on her own," the man defended himself, pointing to his car wheels which were still about one meter away from where Rose Magenta had collapsed.

All eyes immediately looked and murmured, nodding their heads.

"Please pick up those scattered documents and help me open the car door. I'm taking this lady to the hospital!" the man exclaimed, immediately lifting Rose Magenta's body in his strong muscular arms.

The crowd immediately opened the car door as the man with the black sunglasses ordered.

He laid Rose Magenta in his car, then circled around it. The car immediately sped off toward the nearest hospital.
