Seeing Emmie's vigilant look, Dennis instantly came back to his sense.

He had only brought her into his arms to save her from falling down. Although she was not considered petite, she was definitely thin. And, that made her have a striking contrast with his brawny body.

Moreover, she had an enticing scent, that gave him a strange sense of familiarity.

Emmie lay on his chest for a few seconds before realizing that he was not letting her go. She mumbled, "I can handle it."

Suddenly, she felt being lifted into the air before realizing that she was picked up by him. She grabbed his collar in a flurry.

Dennis said with a gloomy face, "Are you going to strangle me?"

She let go of her hand and said, "I'm sorry. But, you should have told me."

"You are in no place to say that to me, don't you think so?"

Emmie was wordless at that. He was right. Right then, that burning sensation hit her eyes, making her on the verge of crying again.

Dennis' voice boomed above her. "No, don't cry!"

After Emmie was chucked into the car, she instantly clenched the seat belt tightly.

The car stopped at the entrance of the hospital.

Dennis took her to the ophthalmology department and asked, "Dr., how is she?"

"She is just having an allergic reaction. She'll be fine after we rinse her eyes. But, it may be a little uncomfortable. Make sure she cleans her eyes for the next few days and never looks into strong light directly."

"Allergy? Of what?" asked Dennis.

"It should be a kind of tear-stimulation drug."

"Tear-stimulation drug? Why would you use that kind of drug?"

Emmie also wanted to know where Isaac got that kind of stuff.

She half closed her eyes. Her eyes felt so itchy and she wanted to rub them so much.

Dennis slapped away her hand again, and this time, it left a red mark on the back of her fair hand.

She pinched the hem of her coat as she fought the urge to rub her eyes.

Biting her lower lip, she pursed her lips like a kid who had been wronged by her parents. Seeing how pitiful she looked, he felt quite regretful of his action just now. He couldn't help wondering if he had hit her too hard. She looked as if she was going to burst into tears at any moment.

"Does it still hurt?"

"No, it doesn't hurt. But, it is itchy."

"Dr., is there any way to relieve the itch?"

The doctor gave him a small bottle of eye ointment and said, "This can relieve the itch, but don't use it too frequently."

Dennis hooked her chin with his index finger to lift up her head. He then opened her eyelids and applied a drop of the ointment to her eyes.

The eyes of the female doctor shot open. Dennis was just perfect. He was not only good-looking but judging from his clothes, he must hail from an influential family, too. Moreover, he was so gentle.

"You're so kind to your sister."

"My sister?" Dennis repeated.

"Is she not your sister?" If Emmie wasn't Dennis' sister, then were they...? But, Emmie didn't seem to be over eighteen at all.
