Chapter 5 Betrayal

"How dare you resist my touch once again?" The old man groans, his huge palm descending on my right cheek, sending me to the bed. "Get yourself ready for me tonight, and if you dare to act stupid again, I promise to send your dead meat back to your father," he spat on the floor and ambles away from my room.

I hold onto my cheek on the bed, my body curves into a ball as I whimper, my tears soaking my pillow.

This is the sixth time the old man has hit me for not granting him access to my body. The access I've vowed with the name of my late mother, that I will never allow him to have, unless he chooses to force himself on me. And I dare him to do it. That's the day I will join my mother, and he will tag along.

The crazy part is that this old man has two daughters who are in the same age range as me. His dumb daughters keep addressing me as a gold digger, claiming I want their father's wealth. What sensible lady will want the cock of an old man who might die if you try to give him a ride? His wrinkled hands are enough reasons for me to puke.

"If you don't want to be hit by our husband, don't you think it's best you run away or make a little attempt to please him?" I hear the warm voice of Luna Violeta, and I sit upright on the bed.

Luna Violeta has been very nice to me ever since I arrived here, unlike the second Luna, who keeps looking for ways to rip my flesh.

"Luna, I can't run away from the Alpha. He will send his warriors after me, and have my head ripped off my neck," standing up from the bed, and meeting up with her.

"Then win him over," she pronounces.

"But how, Luna? He's a very ruthless man, who is easily triggered by anything, and always ready to kill," I hold onto her hand.

Luna Violeta acts like the mother I had lost years back, and for the past two weeks in this home, she is the only reason I get to smile.

She pulls me to the bedside, helping me sit on the bed, and she takes her position beside me.

Her palm rests on my cheek as she gives me a warm stare, "The way to a man's heart is a nice delicious meal. If there is something our husband can't reject, then it's a nice prepared meal. I will help prepare something for you, and make sure to do a job of winning his heart with it," her face flashes with a bright smile, giving me a very relaxed feeling.

I spread my arms wide open, giving her a warm embrace, my head resting on her shoulder, with my eyes closed. After a short period, she gently pushes herself, breaking off the hug.

She stands up from the bed, "I will get everything ready, my child," a warm smile plasters on her face as she leaves my room.

I scream, throwing myself on the bed, my legs dangling in the air in excitement. My heart can't contain the joy of finally getting a solution to tame the beast. Now, I will have my right to explain things to him, maybe he may reconsider his decision of wanting a son from me. Just maybe.

With my heart still dancing in excitement, I rise from the bed to the bathroom, wash myself up, and throw a fine white lingerie on my body. It's 5 pm, and I know Alpha Kryptos will soon return to my room. But before then, the meal will be ready.

Right in time, a maid brings in the nice meal. Its aroma alone is so pleasant that none can resist it.

A few more minutes later, Alpha Kryptos walks into my room, and I notice how his eyes burn with desire as he fixes them on my body. I know he can't wait to have me, and with the smile that plasters on my face, I believe he feels I'm ready to spread my legs for him. Such a disgusting old man.

He rushes toward me, grabbing my waist, his face bury in my neck as I feel his warm breath on my skin. My nose scrunches in disgust as I force myself to endure his touch, my stomach knots, causing me to almost puke.

"Alpha! I made a nice meal for you," I softly utter, throwing my face to the side as his lips make an attempt to claim mine.

"The meal can wait. I want to have a taste of you before anything else," he whispers, pressing my body into his.

"This is my first meal in your home, and I would love you to have a taste of it before anything else," I swallow hard.

Finally, he pauses, taking a good look at my face before walking toward the meal. He takes a seat on my bed, and I pull the mini table in the room to his front. The meal is placed on the table, as I stand by his side with a smile on my face.

Alpha Kryptos picks up the soup, and make to take a scoop when Luna Violeta storms in, with some warriors and the rest of the family members.

"Alpha, please don't eat that meal," she points at me, "This little witch of yours actually poisoned the meal. She wants to take your life so she can gain her freedom," she cries out, and my body freezes in shock.

I rush toward her, "W-What do you speak of, Luna? Why....?" She pushes me away, ordering a warrior to bring in a slave to eat the meal.

The slave enjoying the meal as I stand, confusion washing over me. I can't tell what is going on as I find myself struggling to understand. The slave suddenly pauses, clutching his chest, blood sprinting out his mouth as he collapses to the floor, dead.

Alpha Kryptos roars, sprinting up from his position, his angry eyes pierce through my soul causing my heart to run to my throat in fear.

Pointing at me, "Seize her!" He orders the warriors in anger, and they turn in my direction.

My eyes dart through the room, and I notice the open door. In a flash, my legs sprint out of the room without a second thought, and I hear the footsteps of the warriors as they chase after me.

With everything within me, I run out of the building into the compound, and my legs come to a halt, my eyes darting back and forth in confusion, pondering which route to take. This is my first time stepping out of my room ever since I arrived in this mansion.

My body suddenly freezes as I notice the troops of warriors coming from my front and behind me. My heartbeat increases in fear and tears well up my eyes.

Just then, I feel a fast pull from the side, a hand cups my mouth, resting my body on a hard chest. My body trembles as I scream in fear, but the hand cupping my mouth makes my screams unheard.

"Ssshh!" I hear a soft whisper. I blink my eyes open in fear, and they instantly meet with the stare of the Alpha of the Rogues.
