Chapter 5 Take Care of Your Own Business

At seven in the evening, that's when Aleta got home. Huh? It wasn't her house, though. It was just Ansel's house because it seemed like he was staying there. She had just gotten home because after meeting with Axel, she thought of meeting her best friend, Indira Kalila Harish.

Ever since she married, she hadn't had much contact with her best friend. After all, her best friend was in college, which would undoubtedly be very busy now.

She thought that Ansel must not have come home as usual because he would usually come home at night or at least go home. It was good that he wasn't home; she had more freedom.

Aleta entered the house and met Aunt Nani there.

"Aunt Nani!"

"Aleta, why did you just come home?" asked Aunt Nani with a worried look.

"That, I..."

Aleta's words were cut short when someone else's voice accompanied the sound of someone coming down the stairs.

"It looks like it's exciting out there, huh," chirped Ansel, who walked down the stairs and approached Aleta.

Aleta frowned at Ansel's words. She was surprised that he was home at this time. Because he usually doesn't come home at this hour.

"What does that mean?" asked Aleta with a confused look.

Ansel chuckled softly. "You seem to be playing dumb. I didn't realize you were such an easy woman. Not as innocent as I thought," Ansel sarcastically said with a disdainful look.

Aleta could not understand what the man in front of her was saying. "I don't understand what you mean; why are you saying all that?" Aleta protested.

Ansel smiled wryly. "Follow me!" snapped Ansel, who immediately pulled Aleta's hand up the stairs.

"Sir, please don't hurt the young madame," persisted Aunt Nani, who looked very worried. She was just afraid that something like the last time would happen again.

Ansel stopped his steps. He looked coldly at his butler.

"This is a family matter that no one else should interfere with," Ansel said as he pulled Aleta's hand back.

Aleta turned her face to Aunt Nani and nodded her head slowly, saying she would be fine.

"I hope he doesn't hurt Aleta. If that happens, I have no choice but to contact Madame directly," Aunt Nani murmured.

Elsewhere, Ansel brought Aleta into his room. He pushed Aleta onto the bed. That made Aleta look warily at the man in front of her. Although they had done it once, it had not been a good night. Instead, it was a night that hurt her deeply.

"What do you want to do?" asked Aleta, her head bowed.

Ansel chuckled again. He lifted Aleta's face to look at him. "Why, you're afraid of me, but when you meet that man, why aren't you afraid? With a strange man, you can get along, but with me, you can't, huh?!" Ansel growled with a sharp glare.

Aleta was entirely surprised by what her husband said. "What do you mean?" asked Aleta.

Ansel laughed sarcastically. "You make me disgusting with that innocent attitude of yours. You deceived my parents with your disgusting behaviour. If they knew your true behaviour, they would hate you. That's very nice, isn't it," Ansel quipped with a sardonic look as he folded his arms across his chest.

"Stop it! Why are you always insulting me?! What did I do wrong to you?! Based on what you're accusing me of?!" Aleta growled.

Ansel looked arrogantly at Aleta. He walked to the side of the table and threw some photos at Aleta.

"See for yourself how you behave," Ansel snapped.

Aleta took the photos and looked at them. She had a surprised look on her face when she saw the pictures. Wasn't this when she met Axel earlier? How did Ansel know this?

"What are you doing all this for? Are you stalking me?" Aleta protested.

"Sigh, what am I stalking you for? I'm not the guy who likes you. Don't be too proud. I got those pictures from my employees who saw you with that strange man. You're amazing. You're good at seducing men out there. I think you're perfect for a job like that," Ansel snarked.

Aleta clenched her fists tightly. Ansel had gone too far with her. She held back the tears that were ready to come any minute now. No! She could not look weak in front of that man.

"So what's wrong with being with that guy? Is there a problem for you?" Aleta asked as she folded her arms across her chest.

Ansel looked surprised by Aleta's answer. He didn't think she would answer him like that. He thought she would explain why she had met the man.

Aleta was trying to maintain her dignity. If Ansel had misunderstood her, let him continue to misunderstand her. Wasn't there no definite relationship between the two?

" Huh, it's true that you have a relationship with that man. I think my mother should know about this. Let her know that her beloved daughter-in-law is an easy woman. So that this marriage relationship can be immediately destroyed," Ansel said.

Get angry; I'm sure she'll deny it with emotion right now~ Ansel thought.

Unexpectedly, Aleta just put on a relaxed face instead of getting angry as if she didn't care what Ansel said.

"Oh, if you want to tell Mommy, just tell her. I won't stop you. But there are two things you need to remember when you tell her. First, you have to remember that she trusts me more now than you do. If you don't believe me, you can try. And secondly, I think we've agreed not to interfere with each other's lives. You told yourself I'm free to do whatever I like as long as it doesn't bother you, right? I've already done what you asked. So think for yourself whether you're going to say it or not. Good night," Aleta said as she left Ansel's room.

Meanwhile, Ansel was still silent after hearing what Aleta had said. He didn't want to tell his mother about this. He could not deny what Aleta had said earlier. It was because he had initially said they should mind their own business and not interfere with other people's business.

Ansel ruffled his hair roughly. "Damn it! I never thought that woman could say this," Ansel hissed.

Aleta walked down the stairs because her throat was parched after the long conversation with Ansel, which had drained entirely her emotions. She felt very calm when dealing with Ansel's problem. Could it be because of the chamomile tea she drank earlier that she was so quiet in dealing with the issues that came her way?

"I have to thank Axel. It's thanks to him that I'm still calm about my problems. However, I'm still very hurt by what that man said. How could he accuse me of having an affair when he openly cheated on me in front of me that time," Aleta protested with a look of annoyance.

"Aleta!"

Aleta immediately turned her face to Aunt Nani, who approached her.

"You're not asleep yet?" she asked.

"How can I sleep if I'm still worried about you? Did Young Master hurt you again?" asked Aunt Nani.

Aleta nodded her head weakly. That made Aunt Nani immediately put on a worried look.

"What?! Where? Where did he hurt you?" asked Aunt Nani with a worried look on her face.

"Right here. This is where it hurts the most," Aleta replied, pointing at her chest.

Auntie Nani knew what Aleta meant. Therefore, she immediately hugged Aleta's body to give her peace of mind. Aleta returned Auntie Nani's hug, which she found very comfortable.

The hug was released and replaced with Aunt Nani cupping Aleta's face.

"Don't think about it too much. Don't be sad because of what Young Master said," said Aunt Nani.

Aleta nodded her head. "Yes, Auntie. I know. Thank you for worrying about me," Aleta replied with a big smile.

"Oh yeah, what are you doing in the kitchen?" asked Aunt Nani.

"I wanted to get some water because my throat was dry," Aleta replied.

"Would you like me to make some juice?" offered Auntie Nani.

"No, I don't want it. I don't want to trouble you. You can go back to sleep," Aleta refused.

" Hey, I don't feel any hassle, you know. Alright, you wait here," replied Aunt Nani as she left Aleta's presence to make her a drink.

Finally, Aleta just surrendered to being made a drink by Aunt Nani.

"Hufft! I'm refreshed after taking a shower. I can relax a bit about my problems," muttered Aleta, who had just come out of the bathroom to clean her body.

Aleta lay down on the bed and looked at the ceiling of her room. Her mind was wandering. She thought about Axel's reaction, which might be confused with her, who suddenly left this afternoon even though he hadn't told Axel about the problem.

"Never mind, why do I keep thinking about it? Besides, if we meet again later. Surely we won't meet again," Aleta muttered.

She recalled Axel's very kind and gentle attitude towards her. Any woman would be happy with Axel's treatment.

"If only Ansel could be like Axel, it would be great. This marriage relationship wouldn't be so painful. What the heck?! Why would I even think about something like that? I also don't care about how the man will change. Because in the end, there will be no happiness in my marriage. Because from the beginning, this was not the marriage that either Ansel or I wanted," Aleta muttered.

Aleta was quite tired because she was too tired to think about everything. Before long, she was fast asleep because of her exhaustion.

"Aleta, you don't need to cook. Let me do it," said Auntie Nani, who insisted that Aleta didn't need to cook.

Aleta shook her head quickly. "I don't want to, Auntie. I want to keep cooking. I'm cooking for me anyway. Never mind, it's just ordinary fried rice," Aleta refused.

Aunt Nani could only surrender because Aleta didn't want her help.

After making breakfast for herself, she went directly to the dining table and sat down. In the middle of eating her breakfast, suddenly, the sound of loafers came down the stairs. Of course, Aleta could already tell who it was-who else, if not her super arrogant husband, Ansel?

But Aleta preferred to keep quiet. It was as if she didn't even consider the man's existence. Maybe it was because she was still upset from last night's incident where Ansel insulted her.

Ansel walked over to the dining table and sat down. He watched Aleta, who was busy eating breakfast. Meanwhile, the woman didn't seem to notice his presence.

"Did you just make breakfast for yourself?" asked Ansel.

Aleta remained silent as if she didn't hear what Ansel was saying. It was enough to make Ansel annoyed. A cunning idea popped into his brain. A lopsided smile appeared on his face.

He quickly pulled the plate before Aleta and immediately ate the food. Aleta widened her mouth at what Ansel did.

"Hey, why did you take that? It's mine!" Aleta protested with a raised eyebrow.

"This is my house. So, everything here is mine," Ansel replied haughtily as he returned to eating the food guiltlessly.

Aleta immediately growled in annoyance. She got up from her seat and approached Ansel, still engrossed in the food she had made.

"Bring the food here. I made it. So it's mine!" Aleta protested again.

Ansel shook his head while showing a face eager to be punched by Aleta. "No way. I have this food," Ansel refused.

Aleta stomped her foot in annoyance. "Hey, you're mean. Return the food!" complained Aleta, who wanted to reach for the fried rice, but Ansel held her back.

"Ah!"

Their eyes were glued to each other, and Aleta almost fell on Ansel, who was still sitting in the chair. Their faces were very close together, and neither Ansel nor Aleta wanted to break eye contact.

She looked terrific when she saw this close. Her eyelashes are so lustrous, and what's more, those lips. Why do I suddenly want to kiss her so badly right now? ~ Ansel thought.

Similarly, Aleta did not want to let go of her gaze with Ansel. The man's handsome face made her not want to look away.

However, the sound of the house phone ringing made the two of them immediately break eye contact. Aleta looked miserable. Similarly, Ansel cleared his throat to control himself.

"I'll answer it," Aleta said in a slightly stuttering tone as she walked away from Ansel.

Ansel just nodded his head. Meanwhile, Aleta went straight to the living room to pick up the house phone that kept ringing.

"Hello. Who is this?" Aleta asked as she picked up the call.

"Hello, Aleta. It's me, honey," said Amanda, who was calling.

"Oh, Mommy! Yes, Mommy. What's wrong?" asked Aleta again.

"Look, I want to invite you both to the house tonight. Ansel's brother is back from Canada," Amanda explained.

Aleta frowned. She didn't know that Ansel had a younger brother. "A younger brother? Ansel has a brother?" Aleta asked cautiously.

"Yeah, I forgot to tell you about Ansel's brother. He's that...

"Mommy!"

Aleta could hear a man's voice shouting for Mommy Amanda.

"Who is that, Mommy?" asked Aleta

"Sorry, dear. It's Ansel's brother. We'll talk later. I'll wait for you both to come. Don't forget to tell Ansel. Tell him I'll remove his name from the family list if he doesn't come," Amanda said.

Aleta winced at her mother-in-law's words. "Yes, Mommy. I'll tell Ansel," said Aleta.

"That's it. If so, I'll close it first. I am."

"Mommy!"

"Yeah, wait a minute. See you at home later, dear," Amanda replied.

Her mother-in-law had turned off the call.

Meanwhile, Aleta was still silent in her place. For some reason, she seemed to recognize the voice of the man who was Ansel's younger brother.

"He must be a spoiled child. Just look at the way he called her like that. Is it possible that his nature will be 11:12 with that man? It would be a disaster if that happened," muttered Aleta, who shuddered in horror, thinking Ansel's younger brother would be like Ansel.

"Hey!"

"Ahh!" squealed Aleta when suddenly someone touched her shoulder.

Aleta saw Ansel's figure, who looked at her in confusion.

"What's wrong with you? It's like you've seen a ghost," Ansel complained.

You're the ghost that's always scaring me~ Aleta thought.

Ansel snapped his fingers in front of Aleta's face. "Hey, why are you daydreaming? Who called earlier?" asked Ansel.

"Oh, it was Mommy who called. She asked us to come to the house later because your brother is back from Canada," Aleta explained.

Ansel looked surprised, although he didn't show it much. "Why is he suddenly coming home? Is there something important that he's coming here?" Ansel muttered.

"Hm? What's wrong? Did you say something?" asked Aleta, who seemed to hear Ansel speaking in a slight tone.

Ansel quickly shook his head. "Nothing. I'll pick you up later to go home. I have to go to work," said Ansel as he left Aleta's presence.

Meanwhile, Aleta only showed her confused face with Ansel's suddenly strange behaviour. "What's wrong with him? It's so strange," Aleta complained as she entered the house.

In his car, Ansel suddenly remembered his little fight with Aleta, where they fought over food. He smiled widely as he recalled Aleta's childlike behaviour of stomping her feet on the floor. Somehow, that amused him a lot.

He had never felt this way about a woman close to him. He had never seen a woman who showed her true personality like Aleta without fear of becoming a bad image in front of others. It looked like annoying Aleta would be on his must-do list every morning.

"Hmm, funny too," Ansel muttered with a wide smile.

The driver, Mister Zack, was quite surprised to see his Master smiling to himself in the back. He had never seen his Master like that. Usually, he would show his flat face.

What a rare sight!
