Chapter 2 A Major Chaos in the Robin Group

Chapter 2

Two Days Ago

The sky over Mayro City suddenly turned red, thick smoke billowing into the night sky, followed by an explosion that shook the ground.

The Robin Group building, a majestic icon of the city and the headquarters of a global corporate giant was now engulfed in flames. The fire spread wildly, consuming every glass window with ear-piercing shattering sounds.

"Help! Help!"

Screams and cries echoed from every corner of the street. People inside the building ran aimlessly, desperately seeking refuge.

The blaring sirens of fire trucks shattered the night, accompanied by the roar of ambulances rushing to the scene.

"We need backup! This building could collapse at any moment!"

Panicked voices filled the air as firefighters and police officers worked together to rescue those trapped inside.

Several national news helicopters hovered low, broadcasting live footage across the city and the nation.

"We are reporting live from the scene! The Robin Group building, the epicenter of an international business empire, is now in critical condition following a massive explosion around 9 PM local time!"

"Mr. Sion Alexander Robin, the CEO of Robin Group, has yet to be found. A frantic search is underway."

Journalists spread the same news, leaving the entire city anxious. Even the global community tied to the Robin Group was alarmed at the disappearance of the corporation's top leader.

"Evacuate quickly!"

"Find Mr. Sion!"

Shouts echoed throughout the building as rescue teams fought their way inside to search for their missing leader. But the fire was merciless, devouring everything in its path, as the hope of finding Sion dwindled amidst the raging flames.

"Save the important Robin Group documents!"

A voice commanded sharply-a man with brown hair, his once-white shirt now sooty and torn, his face drenched in sweat.

"You greedy fool! Human lives are more valuable than a stack of papers, Edward!"

Marco grabbed Edward's shirt, yanking him away from the fire-engaged 15th floor.

"Let me go, Marco! Those documents are worth more than your life!"

BOOM!

A deafening explosion echoed, accompanied by the screams of those inside and outside the building. Debris began to fall, and the building trembled violently.

"We need to get out! Edward! We have to leave now!" Marco shouted, his voice stern as he glared at his best friend.

"Has Sion been found?" Edward asked, his eyes locked onto Marco's.

"Maybe Sion is already outside! The rescue team must have prioritized him. Now let's go!"

Marco tugged Edward's hand, but the man remained stubborn, tossing his badge to Marco.

"Take care of this. I need to make sure Sion isn't trapped inside. And I need to save those critical documents."

Edward dashed into the thick black smoke, flames licking at his heels.

"EDWARD!" Marco screamed.

His feet moved to chase after him, but firefighters quickly restrained him.

"Let me go!" Marco struggled.

"We won't! Do you want to die?!"

The firefighters dragged Marco out of the building by force.

Outside, chaos reigned. International media crews scrambled to cover the disaster, while the giant screens on nearby buildings showed frantic stock analysts.

"If the Robin Group collapses, global stock markets could crash! This will impact not just the local economy but ripple across the entire world."

At the scene, dust hung in the air like a dense fog. A high-ranking police officer stood in front of the rescue barricade, his eyes scanning the burning building with tension.

"Was this an accident or an attack?"

"We can't confirm yet, but we've only found one executive so far-Mr. Marco, the deputy director of Robin Group," a young officer reported to his superior.

Hearing this, Marco's eyes widened. "What? Why am I the only one saved? Where's Sion?"

"We're still working to rescue everyone, sir! Please stay calm! That includes Mr. Sion."

"Calm? Sion must be found! Work faster!"

Marco grew more agitated, but the officer tried to reassure him. "We're doing our best, sir."

Taking a deep breath, Marco glanced back at the building, particularly the 15th floor, where he last saw Edward. Flames continued to rage there.

BOOM!

Another explosion roared from the 17th floor. The massive tremor rippled through the ground, scattering dust and shards of glass into the air. Suddenly, the 17th floor collapsed, crushing the 15th floor beneath it.

"EDWARD! SION!"

Marco screamed at the top of his lungs, stepping forward despite the intense heat emanating from the building.

Several firefighters rushed to stop him from crossing the safety line.

"Let me go! My brothers are still inside!" Marco shouted, his face drenched in sweat and ash.

A police officer approached, trying to calm Marco, who was shaken.

Meanwhile, the best rescue teams were deployed to find Sion. The explosion had claimed many lives, leaving the question lingering: Was this a tragic accident or a grand conspiracy targeting the Robin Group?

"Listen, officer! You must find Sion and Edward. Deploy your best teams. We'll pay whatever it takes."

The officer nodded. "We're trying. But the situation is dangerous. The building structure could collapse at any moment. We must prioritize saving as many lives as possible."

The officer's words only deepened Marco's despair. He stood beside the police chief, staring tensely at the burning building. His breaths were heavy, his heart pounding.

"Please, Sion... hang on. Edward, I hope for a miracle that you survive too!"

---

Sion instinctively covered Roura's mouth with his hand, making the girl's eyes widen.

"Please, don't scream! I'm not a bad person!"

Roura's eyes locked onto his, her breaths shallow and quick. She couldn't say a word.

A loud knock came from the door. "Roura? Are you okay in there? Is everything alright?"

Mr. Will's concerned voice echoed, causing Roura to grow even more frightened. She tried to respond but couldn't. Sion's strong hand still covered her mouth.

"Don't tell him I'm here. He'll think you're crazy again. Do you want to lose your job?"

Roura shook her head.

But what shocked Sion even more was the fact that he could touch Roura. He could truly feel her warmth in his arms.

"I... I can touch you? But why? Why can't I touch anyone else?"

Sion muttered to himself while Roura struggled, pushing against his hand still covering her mouth.

Finally, Sion released her with a confused expression.

"Sorry."

"But listen! This is important. No one can see me except you. If your boss comes in and sees you hysterical, he'll think you're insane. You'll get fired."

Sion threatened her, but Roura didn't care. She shouted:

"Mr. Will! There's a pervert in the changing room!"

"What?! A pervert?!"
