Chapter 4 Asking Someone's Husband

Fiona still didn't realize that the six men were greeting her because she didn't know them.

"Oh my... Who do you call 'Young Madam'? I'm not married, I don't deserve to be called that," asked Maya.

"I'm not married either," said Adel.

The eyes of the six men were fixed on Fiona, who stared back at them sharply. Now Fiona realized that their arrival was to pick her up.

"I think you're mistaken, you should call me 'Young Miss,' understood?" Fiona wanted to make sure her two friends didn't misunderstand, so she quickly corrected the words of the six men, who had been deliberately sent by William to pick Fiona up during the break.

"Sorry, Young Miss. Sir-" Before one of them could finish speaking, Fiona immediately interrupted him.

"Stop! You don't need to say anything more, just go! I'll catch up with you later," Fiona ordered them to leave.

"I have to go, we'll continue the story later!" Without waiting for a response from Maya and Adel, Fiona immediately left the class.

In a quiet, upscale restaurant, Fiona walked toward the spot where William was waiting for her.

"What's going on? Why did I have to come here?" Without any pleasantries, Fiona immediately asked William.

"Sit down!" William pointed to the empty seat in front of him.

Fiona, with an annoyed expression, immediately obeyed what William said.

"Tell me, what's going on? I need to get back to school!" Fiona urged William to get to the point.

"Have lunch with me," William said.

"Oh my... You called me here just to have lunch together? You even had those big guys pick me up and scared my new friends! You're really getting on my nerves!" Fiona exclaimed, crossing her arms in front of her chest and pouting.

"Pick whatever you want to eat," William said, ignoring Fiona's words and directing her to order.

"I don't want to choose anything! At school, I was called 'Young Lady,' and I became the center of attention because of your men!" Fiona protested, still upset, thinking about what explanation she would have to give to her new friends later if they asked.

"I'll fire them. Now, pick your favorite food and order for your new friends as well," William said, causing Fiona's expression to suddenly calm.

"Are you serious, Baby?" Fiona asked, making sure, their eyes meeting.

"Yes, and call me William!"

"Ah, fine! Now I'll order the food," Fiona said as she grabbed the menu from the table.

"Baby, uh... I mean, William, I don't think you need to fire your men. They probably need the job too. But next time, they shouldn't call me that. Even though I'm married to you, I don't want my schoolmates to know! If you have a problem with that, you can divorce me," Fiona rambled while focusing on the menu, not looking at William's reaction.

"Quick, order your food, and then get back to school!" William said coldly.

"Are you bothered by what I just said?" Fiona asked.

"No! We're not getting a divorce until your brother comes back and takes your place!" William said firmly.

"Why wait for him to come back? You can have your men look for him, they'll surely find him."

"You're so loud!" William looked displeased hearing what Fiona was saying. He seemed angry and stared at her with sharp eyes.

"Fine! I was just giving a little suggestion since it's not that easy for my brother to fall into your arms again, unless your legs can walk properly again," Fiona said while putting the food that had just arrived into her mouth.

William just looked at Fiona's face as she ate greedily. His appetite, which had disappeared because of Fiona's words about her brother, returned just by watching her eat. He began eating as well, creating a quiet atmosphere with no conversation for a while.

"William, I want to-cough, cough!"

Before Fiona could speak, her throat suddenly felt tight, and she started coughing. Her eyes became red and watery.

William wanted to give her some water, but his physical limitations made it hard for him to extend his hand, so he eventually gave up on the idea.

Fiona quickly grabbed the drink beside her.

"Drink slowly," William said.

"Uh... My throat hurts, but this food is so good! It's been so long since I've had such delicious food, since Italy," Fiona monologue.

"What were you going to say?" William asked, curiosity evident in his sharp gaze.

"Oh, that... I just wanted to ask you for some money," Fiona said without hesitation.

"Fiona, you're so bold to speak to me like that!" William responded.

"Of course I'm bold! Now, give me the money, after all, I'm your wife, and I don't have a single penny to buy what I want. I can't ask another man for money! My father didn't give me any when he dropped me off at your house," Fiona boldly asked for money from William, as if she had known him for a long time.

"Take this!"

William pulled out a black card.

Fiona, with a beaming face, quickly walked over to William and grabbed it eagerly.

Fiona had returned to school. As she entered the classroom, Maya and Adel immediately approached her.

"Fiona, are you okay?" Adel asked, looking curious about what had happened to Fiona after she left the school with the big-bodied men.

"I'm fine!" Fiona replied.

"Fiona, do you know who they are?" Maya asked, her curiosity piqued as she wanted to know more about Fiona, even though they had only met a few hours ago.

"They're just my uncle's people. I used to live in Italy, and now I live with him," Fiona explained.

Maya was about to say something, but Fiona spoke again, "And this is for you!" Fiona handed over two paper bags filled with food inside.

"Ah... Thank you, Fiona," Adel said, followed by Maya who also thanked Fiona.

As Fiona chatted with Adel and Maya while waiting for the teacher to arrive, someone accidentally spilled their drink onto Fiona's shirt.

"Damn!" Fiona muttered under her breath, then quickly stood up from her seat, trying to clean the stain from her shirt. The brown drink left a noticeable stain on her clothes.

"Do you have eyes? Look at this, my shirt is ruined now!" Fiona snapped at the girl in front of her with an annoyed expression.

The girl looked scared of Fiona, especially after the arrival of the man in black who had picked Fiona up earlier. This had led to many rumors about Fiona, that she was not someone to be trifled with and that anyone who bothered her would have to deal with the man in black. These rumors made many students avoid getting involved with Fiona.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get your shirt wet, I almost tripped because-" the girl began, but didn't finish her sentence. She kept her head down, not daring to look at Fiona or Adel, who was standing beside her.

"Eh, Sitong, stop making excuses! You must have done that on purpose, spilling your drink on her shirt, right?!" Adel insisted, pointing at Fiona's shirt.
